In response to post (29 Apr 2003 - 05:24:36) by Bill Chickering. I also wonder why!!! I wonder why anyone who reads your so eloquently writen letter continue to be blinded about what is truly happening here in our country. I would strongly suggest that anyone that hasn't read your letter, take the time to do so. Thank you my friend for saying it like it is and saying it so well. God bless America...Richard Lewis, New Jersey
Iwill wear red white and blue on fridays
On the dust, 12 teenagers paid the ultimate sacrifice. In the boardroom, men in their 50s and 60s filled their sacks with cash. Twelve soldiers will never see 20. At least 13 weapons executives took home more than $20 million in compensation since 2000. The young paid dearly. Middle-aged and graying CEOs were dearly paid. Neither the clouds of dust nor the closed doors of the boardroom can hide the bankruptcy. The Boston-based watchdog group United for a Fair Economy, known in general for its reports on the vast pay gap between CEOs and workers, this week published a report on the even more insane gap between soldiers and weapons CEOs. Using federal, corporate, and think tank data, the group found that while the average army private in Iraq earns about $20,000 a year, the average CEO among the 37 largest publicly traded defense contractors made 577 times more money in 2002, $11.3 million. Since 2000, the 37 defense contractor CEOs (actually, given our first-strike war, it is more appropriate to refer to them as offense contractors) have taken home $1.35 billion.
A US officer at the scene, Lieutenant Christopher Hart of the 82nd Airborne Division, was quoted as saying his troops were defending themselves against an attack by two gunmen on a motorcycle and had at first tried to disperse the demonstration with smoke bombs. He claimed some people in the crowd may also have had guns. But this does not begin to explain the severity and duration of the in cident. Lt Hart could not say for sure how many people his men had killed. His vagueness is not surprising. On the basis of the known facts at this point, the Americans appear to have acted with staggering recklessness, turning a residential area full of kids into a murderous free-fire zone. Whatever rules of engagement they supposedly observe clearly did not work. Whatever force was required to ensure their own safety, the degree of force actually used appears to have been massively disproportionate. Even though the war is over, US soldiers continue to kill Iraqi civilians almost every day, for a variety of reasons. But Falluja's tragedy is of a different order of magnitude. To prevent more such disastrous incidents and stop the security situation deteriorating further, an inquiry must be urgently held, preferably with UN oversight and with reference to the Geneva conventions governing the conduct of occupying forces. For reasons of law, morality and self-interest, our relentlessly self-righteous government has a clear obligation to demand that its ally comply. Meanwhile, 82nd Airborne units should be withdrawn from Falluja. If necessary, they could be replaced by better-disciplined British troops.
WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration and leading Senate Republicans sought yesterday to give the Central Intelligence Agency and the Pentagon far-reaching new powers to demand personal and financial records on people in the United States as part of foreign intelligence and terrorism operations, officials said. The proposal would give the CIA and the military the authority to issue administrative subpoenas -- known as "national security letters" -- requiring Internet providers, credit card companies, libraries and a variety of other groups to produce such things as phone records, bank transactions and e-mail logs. That authority now rests largely with the FBI, and the subpoenas do not require court approval.
To N.Sperling, and Aussie, Where is all the oil that you and Aussie claim is going to be flowing after the war? You said it was all about oil. Some people can't see and inch before their nose. I think their nose is in the way of their thinking. We are all so proud of our PRESIDENT,and the TROOPS. A JOB well done. Still wearing the AMERICAN COLORS.May GOD BLESS AMERICA. BEV, Crawford, Tx.
Bev- no Bin Ladden - no Saddan - no weapons of mass destruction... and the pil fields have all remained sucure. HELLO!!!
In response to Bev,Crawford,Tx. Post(05 May 2003 - 09:37:51) who wrote, "We are all so proud of our president and the troops",I agree with her that we should all be prowd of the troops for a job well done in Iraq but I feel they shouldn't have been sent there in the first place. Also, as a senior citizen veteran, I am in no way prowd of our president. It wasn't until I read the facts relating to his military record did I have a clue that he was a draft dodger. Visit for the facts. If you can disprove these facts, please inform me at...firstname.lastname@example.org ...P.S. In addition I agree with the the views posted by N. Sterling and Aussie... P.P.S. In support of our troops I wear wear red, white and blue on friday. God bless America.
Aussie To Bev, Congratulations, you made me break my silence. I wasn't going to bother with this site anymore as it's such a waste of time, but I logged on tonight out of curiousity to see if the people were any better informed yet, about the truth of this war. With the 'better informed' posting pertinent sites for all to read, I'd say a lot of people are waking up to what is REALLY going on, as the amount of feed back to this site has slowed down remarkedly. The truth IS out there, you only have to forgo your own opinions for awhile, and learn BOTH sides of the story. There's an old saying,"Believe nothing you read, and only half of what you see." Well....if I only believed HALF of what I am seeing in Iraq now, (The oil wells secured and in the process of being rebuilt...while hundreds of children and adults are suffering and dying EVERY day from Cholera and Typhoid, from the dirty, contaminated water they are forced to use. A heartbreaking sight.) then the situation is totally disgusting. This is certainly one way to cull an overpopulated country!!! So wear your colours proudly, (I'm sure the Iraqies don't care what you wear, as it's not helping them) keep smelling the roses and God will surly HAVE to bless America, as She is going to need all the help She can get. P.S. The war isn't over until the killing stops, and it hasn't stopped yet, in case you didn't know. I have three words left to say...SHAME..SHAME...SHAME.
To email@example.com......If you are still reading this site, I have tried to e-mail you but they keep getting returned. Is there a problem?? Carol.
Go to: l -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 10 May 2003 Time: 21:41:59 Comments The Above site is not afraid to tell it like it is. HOW VERY FRIGHTENING!!! If you want answers, go to http:www.questionsquestions.net/doc04/0417_slowburn.html The subject is 'How America Nukes Its Own Troops.' Oh my God, are these guys going to need help and support in time to come.
Count on me to wear red - here is why-
I not only support our troops in war but 365 days a year. Americans must stop this stupid protesting against every little thing our country tries to do, but then I do think there is a under lying group that keeps it going and we must not allow them to weaken our country . Many of the protesters are young kids who do not even know why they protest. I heard on TV when one of them was being intervied that she was paid $50 to protest and she needed the money. Shame they have stooped so low as to bribe younger people.
on-going glory of war. This site reports on the radio-activity left by US bombs in Iraq. NO...DON'T WATCH MOVIES. Read up on the TRUTH behind this war instead, the politics behind it, who's going to become wealthy from it, AND KEEP WEARING RED for the blood that's been shed, and the many deaths yet to come. If the American people think this war is over...think again. The Bush Administration knows it's not! Now Bush doesn't know what to do about the nuclear weaponary being developed by IRAN!! Geez, I wonder WHO supplied THEM with the materials??? Maybe the same source who supplied Iraq??? Hello!!! How is the Korean problem going to be handled?? What about Africa??? WHEN and WHERE is this madness going to stop!!!! World War Three???????????????????? You CAN make a difference by educating yourselves on the reality of this disgusting and frightening situation. How much does America owe the World Bank now, and where do YOU think the money is going to come from to repay the debt? Were the troops subjected to radiation? Want answere??? "Seek and ye shall find", and you are not going to like the answers. But at least you will still have your red shirts to wear, you hope.
This morning I heard on CBS Radio, that the U.S. Government is playing Rock and Roll music and the theme song from the childrens TV show "Barny" on Baghdad radio and television, for the purpose of wrouting out devout followers of Saddam Hussein. Might I suggest the Government make a video of President Bush doing the Macarena in his Military Jump Suit. That would surely drive them crazy!!! Talk about a Great Weapon of Mass Destruction!!! Richard Lewis, New Jersey
The following re[port was shown on "NBC Nightly News" Wednesday, 22 May 2003:.... Even before he wore the uniform of THE FEW, THE PROUD - Marine SGT Kirk Straseskie - WAS among THE FEW in his high school in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin..who volunteered to work with disabled students. PROUD - to always be there for others. So it comes as no surprise the young 23-year old would be among the first to try to help others in need. It was Monday -70-miles southwest of Bagdad - a Marine Sea-Knight helicopter crashes into a flooded canal. Straseskie and another Marine jump into the water to try to rescue the crew of 4 but Kirk doesn't come up. 5 are now dead and a little town in Wisconsin is mourning a hometown hero. Kate Klossner was Kirk's sweetheart. After graduating in 1998. Kirk worked at a summer camp where he was the favorite 'big kid' for the little kids. Then he joined the Marines because his father said - 'he was a fighter'. John Straseskie,a 26-year retired soldier is angry at President Bush. He disagreed with the war and now he's lost one of his 4 sons. At his high school where the flag flies at half staff many remember kirk helping a disabled student across the stage so he could get his diploma - a young man who cared about others - a 'doer', who died, doing what came naturally - helping others. Kirk's father stated that he doesn't understand why President Bush sent our troops to Iraq to help people that hate us...I AM FOR THE TRUTH AND LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD...firstname.lastname@example.org
Hey! One Aussie back again. Did anyone bother to read my predictions of a few weeks ago??? Australia is officially now on the target list of the Taliban. Along with America, England and Russia. Where are you Bev, Mary, Nora? It has also now been officially stated in Australia, that this war WAS ABOUT IRAQ'S OIL. Where have all the dis-believers gone??? To get yourselves better educated I hope, instead of slinging sly, sarcastic remarks at people who are trying to tell it as it really is. So, what have we, the ordinary people got out of this war, by ''helping'' people who 'hate' the western world??? Thousands dead, them and us. Disease. The poor are getting poorer, taxes are getting higher, the cost of living has already gone up, we are loosing our "Free" hospital system, etc. etc.....but guess what??? The price of petrol has gone down!!! Before the war, we were paying $1.00 per litre...we now pay 80 cents. Gooood Morning America!!
When Vice President Dick Chaney cast the tie breaking vote in congress for the administration's 350 Billion Dollar Tax Cut, he voted to give himself a One Hundred and Seventy Thousand Dollar ($170,000.00) raise...(Like he needed it)... I'm no rocker scientist, but I sure would like to know how One Hundred and Seventy Thousand Dollars in the Vice Presidents pocket is going to help me find a job...The Bush tax cut is supposed to "Boost the economy and create new jobs"...Hundreds of economists around the country don't agree...Want proof?... .If the Bush tax cut doesn't do everything it claimes it will do, it sure boosts the economy of all the millionairs in the country including the President and Vice President...I am for the truth and let the truth be told... email@example.com
Here is a site for FREE SPEACH in the USA.
Well.....!!! Wadda ya know....found this on the above site. [On the eve of Mr. Bush's ultimatum, it came to light that a key piece of evidence used by the Bush administration to link Iraq to a nuclear weapons program is a forgery. Sen. Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, has asked the FBI to investigate the origin of the forged documents that the Bush administration used to make its case that Saddam Hussein possesses weapons of mass destruction. Secretary of State Colin Powell denies that the Bush administration created the phony documents. "It came from other sources," Mr. Powell told Congress, but he could not identify the source.]
Great page! More people should do stuff like this in all areas of our country. I plan to share this and comply with your request. Thanks! Glory from the great cactus state of AZ
If you look around you, you will find a lot of folks wear red, white and blue. Why not ask them why?
THIS IS WONDERFUL. I AM SO PLEASE THAT WE HAVE THE OPTION TO SELECT SUCH WONDERFUL COMMENTS TO SEND TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THANKS FOR MAKING US SO PROUD TO BE AMERICANS. GOD BLESS US
Although I'm a Canadian I think this is a great idea. I've yet to hear a Military person voice any 'unbelief' in what they are doing once they've seen the situation they are 'fighting' to correct. I contribute to the Feed The Children's Program for the families of the reservests! May God Go With Each Troop!
Dear Jim, What a wonderful page and yes, I will certainly share. :o) It's a shame that we have to constantly remind others about our men and women overseas and how they put their lives on the line every single minute of their day while we enjoy our lives. And in enjoying our lives many take for granted these freedoms that we have here in this great country. I believe awhile back it was written in my local newspaper by a commentary journalist that to be totally and completely free......we must be able to tolerate the actions and behaviors of those things that happen even when it is the most intolerable and disgusting to US individually. Freedom is not free and everyone should always remember that even when they rally against our nation's actions, our president's actions or even against a war. Whether or not one believes we shouldn't be in Iraq.....we're there now. Our military NEEDS our support as a whole and when they return home.....they should be treated and respected as the heroes they are!! Thank You Jim for this opportunity to express myself and for doing such a special thing for our troops. You can count me and my family in! :o) God Bless Our Troops! God Bless America! Sincerely, Marie.............Atlanta, Georgia
YES! I will wear RED on every Friday and pass it on! Thank You!
I think it is a great idea to show support for our troops. I am all for doing waht ever I can to stand behind them. My problem is only about wearing red as it is the sign of solidarity for the gay right movement in Disney World the first weekend in June each year.
I love this site. I love the slide show, the American songs, the whole idea of supporting the troops, who not only help protect people of the USA but also support us Canadians. I hope God will bless them with His Spirit and protect them so they may return to their families. I think the idea of wearing red on Friday is a great idea. Keep up the good work with your beautiful site. It is so nice to visit sites where you don't have to worry about a lot of smut. God bless you all. A Canadian who is proud of America, who will pray with America, who will cry with America and who wants to be a friend to America.
I was wondering where Sperling and Aussie are? They finally decided to leave the Country "THANK THE LORD"!!
THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL WEBSITE. LOVE IT AND I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. I KNOW CAUSE I HAVE A SON IN IRAQ. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS ALL OVER THE WORLD. MAY GOD KEEP THEM ALL SAFE AND UNDER HIS CARE. RHEAJEAN
FROM A FEMALE VETERAN I TRY TO WEAR RED WHITE AND BLUE EVERY DAY>PLEASE GO TO www.presidentialprayerteam.com/adoptatroop ADOPT A SOLDIER TO PRAY FOR I DIDA BIG AMEN TO THIS SITE
In responce to the unsigned post (16 March 2004 - 20:52:36) inquiring about N. Sperling and Aussie, I am happy to report that they are alive and well. I'm sure they have more important things to do than to continue to post comments on this uninformed site. There are numerous "Wear red on Friday" efforts going on right now. In addition to your wear red for pro Bush and pro Iraq War there is a movement to wear "Wear red on Friday" to indicate their oposition to Bush and the Iraq War. There are also numerous other groups advocating wearing red on friday for numerous other reasons. So the next time you see someone wearing red on Friday, you'll have to wonder why. Both sides are also wearing "Red White and Blue" on Friday. If you think I'm pulling your leg, go to Google Search and type in "Wear red". Personally I think we all should wear Black on friday to show our sorrow for all the brave soldiers that died and were wounded in a war that should never have strarted in the first place. Richard Lewis, New Jersey
Date: 16 Mar 2004 Time: 20:52:36 Comments I was wondering where Sperling and Aussie are? They finally decided to leave the Country "THANK THE LORD"!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi...One Aussie here...alive and well. I was told somebody was inquiring about 'Us'...so thought I'd take the time to tell you...(Mary..Nora.. Sally...whoever ) NO, we haven't left the country, wern't 'there' in the first place. Still living in THE best country...."THANK THE GOVERNMENT". Anyway, what are your views on this subject NOW that all the cover-ups and lies are coming out??? What a farce of a Government YOU are living under and choosing to believe in!!! And what a shame, that all 'WE' were saying 12 months ago, is now being exposed. SHAME !!! SHAME !!! SHAME !!! Nothing more to say except, time will tell all truths. Have a nice day. One Aussie signing out.
The same request to wear red on Fridays was sent to me from a friend in Texas on July 30th. I have contacted several retailers about promoting this in their stores and received an email from Bob Goodfriend, CEO of Goody's Department Stores and he said his stores would be alerted to display RED apparel prominently on Fridays were possible. He also said his stores offer 15% discount to people with military I.D. as a way of lending support to military families. KMart is taking it under consideration (displaying RED). Sears also is supporting their employees called to serve in Iraq during their absence and I hope will respond to this request to display the RED and RED,WHITE and BLUE apparel and items (jewelry, hats, etc.) prominently on Fridays. These retailers can help jump start these efforts to have Americans visably and collectively show support of our troops every Friday. Let them know we appreciate their efforts to display RED on Fridays and please, just one day of the week, let the loved ones of service men and women SEE that we DO appreciate their sacrifice! deb cash, AL
In responce to the post by "Al" (28 Aug. 2004-10:41:18), I have to admire him for all his efforts to convince the supporters of our troops to wear red on Friday. Unfortunately the only ones gaining from his actions to contact the retail chains to join in the "wear red" move are the retail chains themselves with the hopes that their participation will increase their sales. I learned this from my experience while working in sales for several retail chains. If you think "wear red" is a new or original idea, I suggest you go to GOOGLE SEARCH and type in, "Wear Red on Friday". You will find 557,000 links related to the many reasons why people wear red. So the next time you see someone wearing red on Friday you'll have to ask yourself, WHY. Richard Lewis, New Jersey
Now that another election has come and gone,I was wondering if AUSSIE, Sperling, and Richard still have their heads in the sand. I see that OUR PRESIDENT didn't steal the election this time either, and got more votes than he did the first time, and got more of the black vote this time around. Must be doing something right. Sure is a popular PRESIDENT to a lot a people, now don't you think.? Gotta love it. Mary
Hi im from New Mexico and i really love your idea, i think that showing our pride to OUR Troops and OUR country is awsome!!! For those who do not support OUR Troops then God please forgive em. Without OUR Troops they would not have any rights in OUR country!! They should be thankfull for all OUR young men and woman as well as the older ones. If they dont support OUR Troops or USA then they should get the HELL out of OUR COUNTRY!!!!! God bless us all!! Martinez
Dear Jim Butler, Concerning your Wear Red notice, I completely disagree with you about you and other pro-war people about you being the "silent majority". Your opinion of anyone who is against the war is very well known. That opinion is that we are"unamerican". I have not met one american who is against the war who is also against the "Troops". I have worn red on Fridays for support of the Troops and a Yellow Ribbon also. I have a son in the Navy. I Love America. I do not like George Bush or "his" war. You are someones' child and someones' loved one and your life is in danger because of a fraudulent war. You may be being fed false information about "us" people who are against the war as propaganda for George Bush to get more support for his war. It is not true. We completely support and Love and Pray for our troops. We are thankful that you serve in the Military. We just don't beleive that "This" war should have been started. We beleive in everyone of you who serve in the military. We pray this will end soon. Sincerely, Virginia Lewis
Words cannot express my personal gratitude for our young men and women serving in the armed forces. We have something very special in this country because of the commitments and sacrifices that our soldiers have made. THANK YOU so much and GOD BLESS each one of you.
After reading your website it appears the far left liberals (probably the same ones that fled to Canada during the 60's) must have lost some elections? They have lost control of the White House, the U.S.Senate, the U.S.House of Representatives and most of the Governorships. Losing certainly brings out the worst in people. If they would only bring forth a veiw good ideas rather than a constant spewing of hatred. I always enjoy the ranting and raving from the left because it seems to fuel more victories for the right. A little history, Germany did not attack us when Roosevelt(D)sent our country into war. How about Korea(Truman(D), Vietnam,Kennedy(D)and Johnson(D)or Bosnia,Clinton(D).
You are the best. Thank you
