If we can't stand up for God, why should we expect him to stand up for us.
Well, it's about time! Indeed, in this country of ours, we have Freedom of Religion, while some are intrepreting it as "Freedom FROM Religion". The Freedom of Speech has silenced those of us who do believe in that very freedom, but, fail to speak. Thank you for standing up. I'll surely pass this on and for those of you who do no share my belief, please, feel free to delete my E-mail.
THAT WAS SO GOOD BUT VERY HARD TO READ WITH THE BACKGROUND. I WAS WONDERING IF IT COULD BE DONE WITH DARKER LETTERING AS TO BE EASIER TO READ.
This is true. I agree with all of this. We should have the right to praise God, when ever we choose and feel like it. Go America !! Under God We Trust. Ruby Spicer, Wills Point, Texas
Who's is the first name that "these" people cry out for in times of trouble??I don't think it's mama.
Praise God someone has finally stood up for Christian rights. I fully agree with your message 100%. I'm proud that I live in a country where everyone has a right to worship as they feel led, but moreso as a "BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN". Larry Ray, Parkersburg,WV.
Like many others of my generation, I fall into the category of the ones raised believing it is not only good, but a must, to pray and give thanks to God for all we have. Though he does not always answer our prayers the way we "think" he should, he does indeed answer them in the way that is right for us! I will NOT be stopped saying prays, if I chose to bow my head in a restaurant before our meal, I shall do so. If those ignorant of that right stare..thats ok too, maybe they will ask why we do it, and start to do so themselves. If before a football game I choose to stand and place my hand over my heart when the flag is being raised, I will do that too. I AM and American Christian, and I will NOT change the way I was taught to believe! M. Jones Grand Prairie, Texas
I believe that it is right to support the values of our parents, grandparents, and those that founded this great nation. Our country was founded under principles of Christianity and it is our heritage and our duty that we support these principles.
I am happy to see these thoughts presented here. They are certainly shared by me and many others.
Thank you so much for putting this page on your site! As I listen to the news this morning and hear that war is almost certain now, I can't help but wonder what the people that make sure their believes are upheld with little regard for the rights of many are thinking. If our wonderful country means so little to them, perhaps a change of address is in order.A little time spend in Mexico enjoying the poverty and substandard living conditions ,or perhaps a quick jaunt to the Orient complete with extreme poverty and government controls would help them appreciate what we all enjoy and take for granted. Only in America would they be allowed to have such a public arena for their believes.
Well said! The only thing I disagree with is about a 30 second prayer shaking the foundations. A thirty second prayer BY GOD'S PEOPLE could shake foundations like they've never been shaken before! A rambling 30 second utterance won't make it past the ozone layer, but a 30 second prayer from the heart of a sincere people could change the world, not to mention the people praying. SEO
HURRAH! HURRAH! IT IS TIME FOR US ALL TO STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHTS! PASS IT ON. FREIDA HUCKABEE WILLISTON, SC
THERE WERE NEVER ANY WORDS SO TRUE. I LOVE MY GOD AND MY COUNTRY AND I HAVE JUST AS MUCH RIGHT TO DECLARE THIS TO THE WORLD (IN FACT, I FEEL I HAVE MORE RIGHT) AS SOME ATHEIST WHO IS UNLUCKY ENOUGH TO NOT HAVE ANYTHING OR ANYONE TO BELIEVE IN. AS FOR NOT BELIEVING IN THIS COUNTRY, I AM SURE THEIR ANCESTORS WHO DIED TO GIVE THEM FREEDOM, ARE VERY PROUD OF THEM. I THINK A COLLECTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO SEND THEM TO IRAQ OR SOME SUCH COUNTRY AND LET THEM SEE HOW GRATEFUL THEY SHOULD BE. THEY HAVE TO RIGHT TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINION BUT ALSO REMEMBER I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE DISGUSTED BY THEIR ATTITUDE.
Thank you for sharing this page with us.And I pray that it will travel around the world. There is one thing I don't understand, when a judge is swarn to office he is to quote "SO HELP ME GOD". now if he did not, I don't think he is by law a judge. So how can somebody that is not a judge make these rediculas rullings? Also how can he spend the curancey that has "IN GOD WE TRUST" on it. Take away everything from him that has GOD'S name on it and then see where he stands. Not only the judges but anyone else that don't believe in the word GOD. It gets me upset when people don't believe in MY FATHER .May GOD bless.
We need to stand up for our "Rights" and be proud of our Country and it's foundation! "In God We Trust"
This country was not based on Christian principles. It was based on the principle that all people could choose to worship, or not to worship, in any manner they please, without any particular religion being imposed on them. Public places should not be used for promoting religious beliefs. Worship or don't worship any way you choose, but do it at church or in private. America is not favored by God anymore than any other country or nation. This is a great country - let's keep it that way. Tom
AMEN! AMEN! It's about time the silent majority speaks out! Thanks for the e-mail. I will pass it to all on my list. Thanks, and may God Bless you!
I believe you are Right On!!!! Well said... Thank you for taking the time to post! SueK
I totailty agree, I am tired of thoes who want to take away my right to worship a God, of who, I confesserd my sins to and accepted as my Lord and Savior. As a Christain, it is very difficult for me to understand, a group of people, who work so hard, to take away my right to worship, and to say a short prayer, to ask for the well being of the players. And to work so hard to protect their right not to worship. Well my comment to you is, I really dont care if you are offended, by my prayer, and my pledge to mine and yours flag. And that is my right. So why dont you use your right to go to a place where they feel the same, and let me tell you one more thing, I will pray at a game, and I will pray in a resturant . and I will pray, anywhere I please. And you nor anyone will prevent me from doing that. So get it through your thick head, you are starting to wake up the silent majority, and we will I promise you, you will not suceed.
I agree with the writer a hundred per cent. Salvation has been mine for only a short time, compared to others. Everyone should pray to God. I am 73 years of age, and am more peaceful now than I have ever been. Remember!! He who kneels before God can stand before anyone. We must pray out loud before everyone. Yours in Jesus Christ, Royce A. Gunn Hamilton. Ontario Canada.
To those who are against prayer please don't work or make money. If you don't like to pray don't spend our money. It ALL says IN GOD WE TRUST ON IT. PLEASE FIND A NEW WAY OF SUPPORTING YOURSELF. SUSAN
Could not have said it better myself. God Bless Us All. Dawn Sawyers
FROM THE SOUTH: YOU DID GOOD!! BIRMINGHAM, AL I feel you about covered it all! I am not allowed to say "gay" anymore - it may offend someone. And when I was growing up that was a "happy" word! I am "Straight" but do I want the world to know about my private sex life?? I was raised in "The Church of God of Prophecy" and that was considered "Penecostal". Good, great, I had a religious upbringing! I married an "athesist" who taught my 4 sons evolution every time I took them to church. My brother, raised in the same circumstances I was, is an "agnostic". What could I do about that? The same thing I do about all the rest. My maternal grandfather practically "preached a sermon" before every meal and you dared not move. Good. great, thank God I know Him!! My prayers are constanty with me. So someone said take "UNDER GOD" out of our Pledge, and we fight it. We should have done that back when it was added and I was in school trying to learn to PUT IT IN as we said the Pledge before classes started. Hey, someone tell me why we had "classrooms" where we gathered before school classes actually started????? A meeting of the minds ~ we set off on a journey for the day in the best way we knew and had prayed one and all to ask God to carry us through. What a joke all of this Madelyn is! Were we so stupid we LET her do this, practically single handed? I guess we were - she attained success. Why are we called a demoracy? Why do we go against our Elected Government? We have the right to go to the POLL and vote. Though granted, we no longer have much from which to choose. We, (me included) listened to Court TV and abosorbed evey word about Monica (REMEMBER her, she gained her 15 minutes of fame with "the PRESIDENT of the GREAT USA). We had to have intergration because someone said they were discriminated against. (Ms.Rosa Parks) refused to give her seat up to a white man. And she is hailed as a hero, always in Washingtom, being honored. Oh, did I mention I am from Birmingham, Alabama? And good old Jessie Jackson (Written in all the hstory books as a great HERO!) he prayed his life away teaching discrimation. My mom was a school princpal. She had to attend Conventions in many Huge cities. Her take was the Back cling together and the whites do the same. Now I am here to tell you I was not brought up to know there was a difference or I got MORE watermellon than some black kid. I did not own slaves, nor did I have anything to do with bringing them over here, but I just leave well enough alone. I go my way and everyone has that priveledge. Oh, I don't think I mentioned that the church BOMBINGS you always hear about anytime any dessention comes about in Birmingham, Alabama ... We relive that. Poor George Wallace ... He did what he thought was right - he will forever be remembered in the school house door. And the HOSES spraying with great force water from Firetrucks to break up the riots we are known for. One more thing about the church bombings, I went to school with one of the men convicted for the crime. Yep, Thomas Blanton, was from a good family, hey what went wrong? Did he really do that? I am 63 so that puts him somewhere around that age because he was in my class. And, I cannot remember the other man's name and I did not know him, but he is convicted - you tell me what does the state want with a 71 yr. old sick man to support the rest of his life??? Say the pledge including "UNDER GOD" you will only throw the other off course a little. My mom used to tell me just because someone else did it was NO REASON FOR ME TOO! Who is big enough to keep prayer out of schools?? I pray when and where I want to!! Judge Roy Moore (AL) fought to keep the TEN COMMANDMENTS in his courtroom and WON!! But he lost in the Capitol in Montgomery, Alabama. WAR? Yes my dad fought WW11 and was aboard the USS Bellawood, an aircraft carrier which was bombed by the Japenese. (USN). Now we stand at the gate of WAR. I am a wartime baby boomer. I can remember mom gathering we 3 children around every nite and we PRAYED for DADDY and all the other brave men and women who gallantly fought so we can remain FREE! This may all be for fetched but WAR is HELL! BE BRAVE and PRAY anyway. I AM A PROMISE ~ LET'S STAND TOGETHER FOR AMERICA
March 17, 2003--Great thinking!! The "silent majority" has been quiet too long. We accept the verbal minority 's opinions without question leaving decisions to legislators who need to hear from us!! Just how we can accomplish this is a mystery to me. We need to do more than write to a web page and/or commiserate with other believers. We need to act on our beliefs under the guidance of a qualified leader. Enough talk, please let us know how to help resolve this very important issue. Dee H. N.J.
I am not an American. Living in America, I know for sure that it is the Christianness in America that makes America American. Lessening your Christianness doesn't make you more American, it makes you less American. A lesser American makes America lesser not greater. AMERICANS HAVE BEEN DEFENDING FOR LONG. IT IS TIME TO STOP DEFENDING AND START FIGHTING. BUT TO DO THAT, YOU SHOULD KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE. You like your fathers are CHRISTIAN. BELIEVE ME, there is no greater identity, a nation or its people can have. If you don't believe me, look at your history. History cannot lie, future can. Sadly America today is living a lie; forging ahead with re-writing its Christian past to live a non-christian future. Please say, WHY? Christianity has only blessed you.
I agree thanks for sending this to me.Normasplace@aol.com
I would like to say I agree with you. Not everyone believes in the same thing but it comes down to respect. Something we have forgotten. Something we have forgotten to teach our children. This goes both ways. Maybe if we brought respect back this world would be a better place to live for all of us. Karen in AZ.
Praise God, it is time we all stood up for our GOD that has given His all for us!!!
No truer words have been spoken or written. It is time for all Christians to stand up and shout their beliefs and get out if you don't like our country. My people came over on the Mayflower to escape religous persecution and setteled in this wonderful country. We must preserve what they started.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!!! What more can be said. I agree 100%.
I feel just as you do. Of course as Christians we are to be percuted for Christ. However, nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are no to yet his name, or pray while others are percuteing us. I agree as Christians we have an obligation to say a prayer, in our closet or in public. We also have the obligation to refuse not to! Mary Bongiorno God Keep us and save the rest too!
As a Christian you don't have the option of whether or not to "turn the other cheek." It was commanded by Jesus, not left as optional. They will know us by our love, not by our reluctance to turn the other cheek. So, don't tell me you're not going to stand it anymore. If Jesus had your attitude we might still be waiting for a savior. R Gillchrest
I totally agree with what Samuel has said. It's time for those of us who believe in Chirst, rather it be Methodist, Weslyan, Indepent Baptist, Southern Bapist or whatever, to stand-up and say "WE, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, WILL SERVE HIM!!!!" I am only 15 years old. I know alot of people think that I don't know what I'm talking about. Well, maybe I don't. But I do know that the USA is getting away from God. And if you think about it, bad things have started to happen since the Courts of America have taken prayer out of schools, taken Christianly programs off television, and many other things. This nation was founded under God, and thats what has made us greater than all nations. Without God we are nothing, and our nation will fall into the unholy hands of evil. I think God is trying to get our nation to come back to him. And I also think that the other nations are seeing that we are growing weak because we are getting out of the sight of God. If we don't do something, and soon, our nation with die. If you believe in God at all, please take this stand with us against evil. If you are a Christian and you aren't willing to take this stand for what you believe in, then you must not believe in God at all, or as much as you think. And I pity you, for when you get to Heaven and have stand before the Judgement Seat of God you will have to answer for not standing up for Him. May God Bless You All, and All of America!!
I THOROUGHLY agree and am sick to death of all the silliness and lawsuits. Most of the problems this country is facing are probably due to turning our minds from God...atheism is stealthily and insidiously creeping in...nudity, violence and bad language which was not allowed on television just a few short years ago is now rampart and "normal". Is it any wonder our kids grow up confused and pressured to have sex (not just with the opposite sex, but the same gender), drink, do drugs, etc.? B.Flowers SC
This is right on and I hope all Christans will heed your message.
This is right on and I hope all Christans will speak up.
Thank you for saying what so many others feel. We need to shout it from the rooftops, we have had enough!!1
AMen to what I just read. If some of us do not stand up and take our stand we need to be taken down..GOD has belssed us by giveing us the right to worship and love him...If you don't agree then shut up or get out and go to a country where you will ot have these rights. While on the subject of get out if you don't believe that OUR President is doing what is right for this country then GET OUT
I agree with all that was said. Let us live and let live as long as its in peace.
Thank you! You said it so well, what so many of us are feeling.
I believe in everything that was said and feel it is high time someone said it. Christians need to be heard and we also need to show the few dissidents that they are not the majority and the majority rules. I would correct a grammatical error in the line that says "the vast majority don't care" to the words "the vast majority doesn't care". Other wise...Pass it on!
I AM VERY PROUD TO BE A AMERCIAN CHRISTAIN, AND I WILL NEVER STOP BEING ONE, I'M GLAD TO KNOW PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO CAN STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHTS AS CHRISTAINS GOD BLESS EVERY ONE!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for speaking up for millions who believe just as you do but do not have a forum to be heard. Our troops need to know that prayers are being said for their safe return home and that we support them. May the God that we all pray to keep us safe in this time of international unrest (even those of you who do not believe in him).
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would like to shout it from the roof tops and put it on billboards.
It's about time we stood for our rights. I have passed this on to everyone on my e-mail list. I received it a couple weeks ago from a cousin. I am no longer silent but I do believe I am in the Majority.
I agree with you totally. The atheists feel they are being discriminated against, but as a Christian I feel the same. Prayer has been taken out of everything and so has God. So where does that leave me as a Christian. Let's put "God" back where he belongs. If some do not wantd to participate in prayer or believe in God, that is there choice, but don't take that away from the rest of us. I"m with you in Nebraska.
Praise God and the initiator of this e-mail...let's pull together because it really matters.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! This is so true and we need to voice our opinion, which is our right and one of our wonderful freedoms. Thank God we are a free country and we need to put God back where we need him most, in our schools and with our children. Thank You from Nebraska.
As a member of that silent majority, I too am getting sick and tired of one or a handfull of self seekers being able to control my way of life. And our courts (are they liberal or what?) are backing up those few individuals to be able to rule. Not exactly what this country was founded on.
This is the best I've seen. God bless you and please continue with this kind of communication Mary Cranford Irving, TX
ONE OF THE BEST PAGES I'VE READ ON MY COMPUTER AND GOD BLESS THE MAN WHO WROTE IT. I AGREE WITH HIM AND I FORWARDED THE PAGE TO SOMEONE ELSE AND THEY DID THE SAME. CONTINUE DOING IT!! IT'S TRUE! PRAISE THE LORD!
this is a great piece of writing...so glad so many are for this country and the Lord God who built it...its rewarding to read about so many young voicing their opinions and fighting for God.. I praise Him for His mercy...and ask Him to continue to bless this Great Nation...Amen
THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME. I DID PASS IT ON TO MANY FRIENDS . GOD IS STILL THE SUPREME RULER, AND AS WE SAY OUR PLEDGE TO OUR FLAG, IT WILL ALWAYS "BE ONE NATION UNDER GOD". MAY WE AS AMERICANS ALWAYS JOIN TOGEATHER TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY AND OUR FREEDOM OF RELIGION. PRINCESSATOKA
Thank you for putting our thoughts into words. Maybe we sould all send this to every lawyer we know and politician. It certainly might make them think. God or what ever you choose to call Him is within all of us and like it or not He will wait to hear from each and every one of us. Either now or later.
I really liked this page! Now that the President has called us to Prayer Now that Congress has called us to Prayer Now that our Governor has called us to Prayer Now that the city Mayor has called us to Prayer Now that the "liberal" media and most other branches of our American society have called us to Prayer AND NOW that our churches are assembling in special Prayer "Honorable" Justice of the Supreme Court, I have only one question WOULD IT BE OKAY TO PRAY IN OUR SCHOOLS? PRAYER WORKS PRAYER REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE. PRAYER CAN CHANGE PEOPLE. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS. PRAYER CHANGES SITUATIONS. THROUGH PRAYER MIRACLES HAPPEN. THROUGH PRAYER ALL IS POSSIBLE! SAYS WHO? I DO!!!!! IT'S PAST TIME TO STAND UP FOR WHAT WE BELIVE!!! KATHY
I think you said it all, now if we can just convince our elected officials or get some in there to stand up or we should really think on who we vote for office next time Hello spinless Senators and Congressmen, are you listening, Prayer back into the school, Proclaim God throuh out the land, That how and why we exist.
Thank you so VERY MUCH for sharing my thoughts. I onlwish that I was able to express it as well as you. May I have permission to share this ewith my congregation? Buddy Mohon
Thanks for writing this down. It's exactly how we feel and have felt for a long time. God Bless you and your work.
Amen and Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Della
Do we not all have an opinion? There are many voices and many ideas, some that sound so good and some that are. The voice we all need to hear is from the Lord, Jesus Christ, and we can hear in different ways. I think primarily from God,s Word, The Bible. Now, I just said many voices, mine included. You see not everyone would agree with me but this is how I believe. God commands that we love one another and it is with our actions, the way we live , that God demonstrates His love to us and others. Fret not what the world does but continue in your love. This is the message I hear, turn the cheek, give even more then what is ask of you. I hope we who are called by His name are hearing the same words spoken in His word. Love the unloving, care for those who do not believe as we do, and turn the cheek. Let us not loose sight of " Our Rights " that we don,t obey God. Joy
Amen!!! I thank God for the privilege to pray. No one can take it away from me and even if I have to pray silently, God still hears.
I am an atheist, and I strongly believe you should be able to pray if you want. If you want to say a prayer in front of a crowd of people that don't care what you have to say, go ahead. It doesn't bother me that you have an opinion, in fact I'm glad that you do. But what about all the rights that religious fanatics try to take away from me, saying that it's sinful. Its fine that they think what I do is sinful, but it should just mean that they themselves don't do it. What it should not mean is that I am not allowed to do it. It is not sinful to me since I do not believe in sins, I only believe in right or wrong. There's a lot of religious fanatics out there that want to make the world a better place by censoring everything that I enjoy. This argument goes both ways, and I think its all wrong. Let people do what the want. Jason Wagner
Your article was so wonderfully stated. God Bless the author and the creator of this website. "If God is on your side, who can be against you? God is on our side and we will put him back in schools, football games or anywhere else we Christians choose to do so.
I could not agree more with what is said on this page. This country was in deed founded on Christian values. I personally have no problem with folks commming to live here from another country, however if they get to say a prayer at mid day facing the east or whatever, then we can pray if we want to also.
AMEN !! Let Us Continue to PRAY !! AMEN. AMEN. AMEN.
Amen to these thoughts. Thank goodness there are still some of us around who believe in pray
I agree 100%!!! What about our rights to worship God! Why are everyone else's rights more important than ours? I thought as Americans we were all equal--that what it states in our Consitution. If others are allowed the right to worship the devil, or their religion is witchcraft (both of these are now recognized religions in our military--frightening isn't it?) then why are we not allowed the same right to believe in the God of Israel? Well, we know why--because the ruler of darkness (who wants to be God Almighty, but never will be) has reign on the earth for a time. His time is very short--and he knows it!! There are many (of which I am one) who believe we are living in the end times. It's heartbreaking to know that there are going to be so many who have to endure the tribulation and if they think the world is bad now...they ain't seen nothin' yet!! For those of us who are believers, this is a blessing--soon we'll be raptured--but for those who will be left behind the trials are only beginning and we know from scripture that persecution against Christians is only going to increase. We need to pray without ceasing for all non-believers while we're still here. Lisa Carter
I LIKE IT---THE NEW PAGE---PLEASE KEEP IT UP ---J.L. CASTLE
THIS IS HOW WE ALL SHOULD FEEL ABOUT OUR COUNTRY. ONE NATION UNDER GOD AND LIBERTY AND JUSTIS FOR ALL.MY GOD KEEP US ALL IN PIECE, AMEN
We are so fortunate to have been born in the United States of America. I agree 150% with the sentiment of this message.
As a Christian, who believes in the teaching of Jesus, I can honestly say that those school prayers did nothing to enhance my faith as a child. When I attend a Catholic Church, I can not take communion yet they can receive communion in my church. That is their right according to their beliefs. In America we can practice the religion of our choice and the reason we have that freedom is because we were intended to have the freedom to chose any religion we wished to chose. Americans can even change their religion. Who of us can know who is right or wrong in that choice. Our country was founded on the concept of separation between our schools and our government. Send your children to religious schools if you want but don't insult those of other faiths by forcing their children to participate in religious programs that have nothing to do with their education. If the majority of the population became Budhist or Muslim, I'm sure Christians would not want to say their prayers in school or pledge alligence to their gods, even though He may be the same God, how do we know? I remember when Ike Eisenhower added the word under God to the pledge. Were our Christian founding fathers any the less devout because they choose not to include those words. The bible tells us that we humans are not capable of judging which faith is the true faith. This I believe.
I think this is a great idea. We can certainly see that our country is not what it should be. We all need to get on our knees and ask God to forgive our lack of charity and our standing up for what is his will. Abortion is the worst thing to hit our country and the whole world. God creates and we should not destroy human life in any form at any age. Until we get back to the basics of what God wishes for our happiness we willhave no peace or justice in this world or in the next. God bless you! Dolores Smith, Florida

Thank you for such a powerful picture of the privilege it is to live in a country whose very foundation is emeshed in Christian principles. Perhaps those who like the thought of freedom from religion should have the experience of living in a country that is 'free' from religion...at least, for several months. No doubt their view of this great country would change drastically. I often heard the words "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so," in my childhood years. We'd best begin standing up for God and country and stand strong against the spirit that is trying hard to destroy the freedoms we enjoy in America.
Amen to that !!!!!!! God is everywhere. This country was built so that everyone could escape religious persecution I dont belittle your beliefs dont belittle mine. "one nation under God" "in God we trust" built this country now more then ever as some of us disagree with our president in the threat of War, We want to support our troops whole heartedly, and in the economic uncertainty, We need God now more then ever , Everyday to see us through. GOD BLESS US EVERY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am amening that, thank you for whoever wrote this it's beautiful and tells of my sentiments exactly. It is time for all of us who call ourselves christians to rise up and be heard and let the people know it's time to bring GOD back into our schools and maybe there wouldn't be so much turmoil among our youth.......I believe it's possible......
I agree!!!!!!!! I believe in GOD and know He hears my prayers.
It's time we decent people use the time when the lefties are calling their lawyer, to call our respresentatives. We need to start playing hard ball with our votes. Liberalism is killing this great nation one stupid judge at a time.
You people need to take a history lesson. The founders of this country were remarkable people- devoted, well-read, and concerned with devising a country which did not succumb to the weaknesses of European countries- countries that were concerned with the rights of individuals Notice that this was individuals, not Christian individuals. The Puritans did not come here to establish freedom for religion for all, but to practice their own beliefs. Anyone who did not practice what they preached was persecuted. This led to abuse and much damage done to Native Americans in the name of the Christian God. I too mourn the loss of common decency in our language and particularly in our media, whom I hold responsible for taking the innocence of our young people by sexualizing everything, but I would be very cautious about imposing Christian beliefs on everything. There is too much chance for abuse. Any Catholics out there? They were targets of the KKK and other groups defending their definition of God. Any people who came from immigrant families? Same with them. Love your neighbor, whether they are Christian, Jewish, Buddhists, or Muslim. It isn't the religion, but the people who abuse it, including Christians , who are threats.
I Love God and my country!!!! If you think you are going to take them away from me than, you are mistaken. I will pray when and where I want, it's your problem if you don't like it. I know where I'll be spending eternity! Do you? As for Tom's comment 17 March 2003 10:25:26 have a problem with you telling me that I shouldn't pray in a public place. Get this, I pray, and thank God for everything that happens to me, good or bad, because "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28". You can believe it, or not, it's up to you. If you don't believe in the God that our forefathers founded this nation on, than I guess you haven't realized the real truth. God the father is real and wants to have a personal relationship with you, all you have to do is believe in his promises and pray to him in the name of Jesus. If you don't believe that, you will spend eternity in the lake of fire! Like it or not! That is the truth, and the only thing I feel is worth fightinng for. I am a US Marine and that is what I fight for. I fight for the right to speak to God when I want and where I want. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to kill people, I want then to be saved, even Sadam. That is one of many things I pray for, I pray for my enemies to come to the truth, that God does exist and he Loves us all even those that don't believe in him (Jehovah). If you have a problem with what I believe, that's too bad. God is on my side and Jesus is my best friend! Who's on your side? Do you believe in yourself? You are bound to fail. We are all so weak. With God on our side we are meek. Meek- powerful, yet reserve the right to use the power we have, on a count that we should show mercy. Mercy hhas been shown by our leader, and now it is time we speak out and show our strength. Look out non-believes, you are about to see the wrath of God. Choose sides now, for there is no middle grounds, you are with God, or you are against God. I pray you are with him, for I fear your defeat. Jeremy Fries---Nicholson, PA. USA(In God We Trust)
Hooray for you - I agree wholeheartedly; we have stood by (being nice/courteous people) while our rights have been slowly and steadily stripped away. Those who are in the minority (thank God) have taken over and are trying to force their way of thinking and acting on the majority. What about our rights. May we Christians stand up and defend ourselves and and be allowed to live our lives the way God has stated we should and keep our countries together with the glue on which they were both founded - with God as our head.
agree 100%. Somewhere along the line I either read or was told that public schools were started to teach people how to read so they could read the Bible. If that principal that told that student he had too say they Lords prayer would have told him if you don't believe don't particapate he would have saved everybody a lot of trrouble.
I agree with this totaly.I two am sick of people trying to change everthing and wanted us to follow them. I love God and will never stop praying. That is what is wrong to-day. If they had God in there hearts they would not be so bitter.
If there is any hope left, let us obey His command and be ye kind one unto another. Father hear our cries, and heal our land. In your name stop the killing. Let there be peace. Father you are our only hope, our only answer. IN GOD WE TRUST We wait for a miracle.
Thank you so much.......Amen and Amen.........It is about time that we stop this "insanity" that has run amuck in this country. If there are those that do not agree with our principals or the fact that we were founded as "One nation under God",on Christian faith and the witness of our founding fathers, then those people can voice their opinion but go somewhere else and do not try to change us. No one is "making you stay". Yes, we have made many mistakes but we have been there always to make up for them and try to help those who are in need. Thank you for this powerful writing and thank you for saying it all for me and others who are tired of the minority speaking for us. The majority in this country know what it is to have freedom because we have fought for it and have lived it. God bless America every moment of every day. A Citizen of God's Kingdom and the United States of America
All I know is that I want someone saying a prayer for my son and his friends on Friday night before a football game. I want to know that God "our" God is looking out for the youth of our nation. I am so sick and tired of people opposing "in God we trust" and "one nation under God" give it a break. The youth of our nation need all the guidance and help they can get these kids are our future and I for one want to know that God is a part of their lives and their hearts. God Bless us All and God Bless America. Brownwood,TX
MAY GOD KEEP AND RICHLY BLESS U,I ADMIRE YOUR COURAGE OF THIS.THIS I KNOW IF WE STAND OR IF WE FALL HE S TILL GOD TOALL.AND WE DO HAVE AN ADVERSARY,BUT THIS I KNOW WE HAVE ANDADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER.IN JESUS NAME.GOD BLESS AMERICA ,AND I PRAY WE ALL TURN BACK TO OUR FIRST LOVE.
WONDERFUL!!!!!!!COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER. GOD STILL IS IN CONTROL.LET US ALL CONTINUE TO PRAY, THAT HE WILL CONTINUE TO BE WITH PRESIDENT BUSH AND OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN THE MILITARY EVERYWHERE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!GOD BLESS AMERICA.LILLI
UNLESS OUR SENATORS CONFIRM THE RIGHT MINDED JUDGES THIS WILL ONLY GET WORSE AND NOT BETTER AND SENATORS WILL ONLY DO WHAT IT TAKES TO GET ELECTED AND WE ELECT THE SENATORS SO WHOSE FAULT IS IT-JLD OCEAN SPRINGS MISSISSIPPI
God bless you for finally saying what we've felt all along. It's no wonder that we are having all this bad stuff happen to us, when God has been evicted from our schools, our public meeting places, our municipal offices, our courthouses. Why should He help us when obviously He's not called upon unless or until we want something. I agree with your statement, and I am definitely going to pass it on. It's about time. God Bless America!
The truth well spoken, God Bless America.Robye
This is so true, and I will stand up for my Lord. After all, he's the one who stood for me on the cross at calvary. When will people wake up and realize that it won't be long before He returns to get His children. My prayer is that I will be the witness for Him that I should be, and people will get saved. I would not want to see anyone go to hell. Yes, this country was founded on Christian principles. Let's not forget this.
You have stated it so clearly. There should be a loud and clear call for Christians to demand their rights, while being willing to respect the rights of others. Thank God that we live in a free country with the right to worship in keeping with our convictions.
Hi, I agree with you and 150%. You hit the nail right on the head, and being a member of the military I will defend this right to the end along with 1000's of other military personel. Thank and God bless every one christian or not.
Hi, Thank you for this site. As a christian i have the right to pray just as a non christian has the right not to. I always ask a aethist if there is no GOD then why do you fight so hard to take him out of everything and everywhere. Just let us so called ignorant people go on believing what we want to. Jeni Toledo, Ohio
this is fantastic and awesome.Hits the nail on the head. keep up the fantastic work. If all us christians would pray altogether on the same day.I know we could make a difference. Even if other religions joined us it would even be better.
Shout it LOUD, shout it PROUD and NEVER give up! Amen! God shall ALWAYS reign!!
I just want to say I 100% agree with everything on this page. I will support in anyway I can . God Bless
I think this page is a good idea. People have the right to view their beliefs and ideas. Go for it. Keep praying for peace and to keep God in all that we do. Sincerly, Sandra J. Lundstrum
yes I say we need to put God back in America big and strong and quit giving these that would distroy our country the right to take our rights away GOD BLESS AMERICA
Thank you and God Bless us all. It is about time we stood up and took a stand. Let's get prayer back in our daily lives and let the youth of American know how we stand.
I am so sick of these Atheists telling us what we can and cannot do if they dont like the way we do things then go to a deserted island and go makeup your own world where you dont have to listen to us Christians pray. Also the courts need to wake up and smell the roses before the Atheists take their jobs away from them. Doesnt the ammendment give us freedom of speech? Then let us speak our peace and pray. If you dont like it deal with it because i am not going to stop praying and when you tell me i cant do something its like waving a red flag in front of a bull because i will do the opposite of what i am not suppossed to do
AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN
God has blessed North America over any country in the universe, how is it then that God believers are being silenced by the few American minority? I am sick and tired of being fearful to worshiping God in the open. America is the land of wheat of the finest Wheat. Let us not give God the left overs. Scarlett Arguello
Missed the music... nice page other than that...
God raised this great republic up to be a light to the world. George Washington declared through a vision given him that "While the stars remain and the heavens send down dew upon the earth, so long shall the Union last." This nation shall remain "One nation under God", no matter who doesn't like it. It is a truth that cannot be removed. God bless America and our President George Bush!!!!!!
I am a former Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Marines Reserve of 19 years and, more importantly, I am a Christian. As a Marine, I declared an oath that if called and became necessary, I would be willing to give my life for the rights afforded every citizen of the United States of America. This would also include that individual's right to worship or to not worship as he/she saw fit. While I am no longer an active member of the military, I am still and will remain for the rest of my life a Christian, who will choose to serve the God that only a few of my fellow citizens want to squelch. I believe in the rights afforded me in the constitution of the United States. We the majority of American citizens want to have the right to pray to our God in public. While I voluntarily offered to give my life in battle as a Marine, I also voluntarily ask those of you who want to oppose my right to be a Christian, which group, by the way was the driving force in establishing this country in the first place, you may exit the country at the nearest port/border and find a country with which matches your beliefs more closely than the one you are currently inhabiting.
Bravo.......................I think we should allow 2 minutes each day in the class room for whatever the student wants to do. If they want to pray so be it. It is a quite time for those that want to do something.
Thank you for wondersul insight. I, too, believe in prayer and the rights of others. LET US ALL PRAY FOR OUR BOYS AND GIRLS WHO WILL BE OVER IN IRAQ! GOD BLESS AMERICAN! AND ALL HER ALLIES!! DODO
You are right! We must stand up as Christians and not be the silent majority any longer, but the vocal men and women of God standing up for what this country was founded on; Christian principles and the right to speak out these principles. Thank you for what you wrote.
Amen and Amen!! I think we have forgotten that we are to TELL the nations about our Lord, not keep silent. Even the apostles refused to keep silent, as did Jesus. If we are to use Jesus as our example for daily living, then why do we remain silent? You are right, it is time to stand up and speak - LOUDLY!!! Amen!A.L.in Ontario,Canada
Even though I am not a practicing Christian, I do believe that this country was built on Christian beliefs and that our foundation of laws was built on the ten commandments. I keep hearing Mr. Bush talk about "Freedom". It seems that our freedoms are systematically being suppressed in the name of "safety" and "law". Only in America are there cameras on street corners. Only in America do you have to pee in a cup to get a job and prove what you're NOT doing in your free time. Only in America are there over 11,000 gun deaths. Only in America can social services come into your home and seize your children because of a phone call from a disgruntled neighbor or family member. Only in America, are you GUILTY until you PROVE your innocence. I don't know, but it seems to me that the very freedoms that this country was based on are systematically being taken away by the MORAL minority. Echo...GOD HELP US and help us from being persecuted by the people who supposedly represent us. And PLEASE God, continue to Bless the USA!
I AGREE whole-heartialy !! We have let one or two people tell us what to say & when to say it. I am for all GOD -fearing peoples to take a stand & be counted. My rights are just as important as those who want to take them away. God will win but we have to be patient as all is done in His timing. We must be bold & strong for you beliefs. Keep the faith & keep PRAYING !! America need to Bless GOD; for all He has done for us & is still doing.
I agree with this thought one-hundred percent!! I'm so frustrated in having my rights taken away from me and I will join with you in standing up for my rights and not letting anyone dictate to me what I can and can't say or do when it comes to my faith or my belief in God, or in my support or my country!! Thank You for sharing this with me and with those who will read it after me. I will pass it on to all whose addressess I have!! God Bless You!! Barbara Gobeille
I will pass this on to my e-mail list and encourage others to do the same....Gog Bless...

I am all for it. It just don't make sense that 1 or 2 people can make such a difference for the rest of us, But it's happening everyday. It's about time to get our voices heard. Maby God is staying silent, just to see how many people are going to stand up for him. Satin is standing with those 1 and 2 people. God Will be with us, only as long as we with him, and I'm afaid he is going to get tired of us for not standing up for him, and turn his back on us all. God have mercy on us all. Nancy
AMEN. It is about time we stood up and let the vocal minorty know that we the people want our country back.Lets get our head out of the sand and do something about it. Gene Jones,Arkansas
Very well said. I often ask, "Why are we Christians sitting back and letting the ACLU take away our constitutional rights to practice our religion?" Yes, I know the ACLJ is mightily at work to defend our rights, but it seems the ACLU is at work in every nook and cranny of our nation.
We do have a voice. As you look around it is easy to see that we have sat back so long and gave the open hearted Christian tolerence to it all. Our youngs girls are brought up in a world that views them as body parts instead of ladies that should have respect. All of our tolerance has brought us to a moment in time that our youth are open to everthing because "we" have not stood true to our belifes and spoke them loud when the moment called for it. It is time to stand if not we are the diciples that stood and watched as Jesus was being crucifed biting our toungs more fearful of what others would think of us than what God thinks. Lets not fight amoung ourselfs as the enimy gains momentuim with our youth. We should be the ones raiseing them. Last thought please be in prayer for our President Just the simple fact that he prays in public has had a big effect on our nation., all of a sudden it reminded us of what we stand for. We needed that kind of focus instead of seeing our President go to a fortune teller and rely on that out come. Peace to all of you. Sorry about the spelling I get more caught up in the thought than the Structure
Good thoughts. Jesus said "in the world you shall have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world"
Right on!!!!! You have expressed the sentiments of many, many christians.
I agree. Thanks for the comments and may God bless you.
this is very good. I pray that people well stand up and out for our rights to pray. We are a CHRISTIAN country. They may try to take "In God We Trust" words away. But they can't take God away, he is in our hearts and lives to stay. Without God we are nothing.
I just want to say I'm with you all the way. One of our guaranteed rights is to differ without impunity. A little respect goes a long way. Too many wonderful people sacrificed everything for our right to free speech and freedom of religious choice. If we let these freedoms go without a good fight, we dishonor those who founded our great country with their blood, sweat, and tears.
I think this has gone way too far. We are a free nation supposedly and that means if we want to pray we have that right. That's what is great about America we have that right and should not let anyone take it from us. If they don't like America, they need to leave. Joyce Peeples, Oxford, Al
After reading this page, the best I can say to agree is " Amen "
I would like to say that it is a shame that our children today cannot say a prayer at lunch or any other school function but all those who do not believe in Jesus Christ are the same ones wondering what has happened to our youth. Well they took prayer out of school and now our children are starting to run amuck because of some one elses beliefs well what about my belief and the fact that I want my children to pray. I also believe in the pledge of allegiance our ancestors faught for our right to pray in public places and the rest of the freedoms that we have. I belive that the athiest are only doing this because they know they are loosing the battle and eventually the war.
I would like to say that it is a shame that our children today cannot say a prayer at lunch or any other school function. I peronally believe in prayer and the right to do it anywhere I please whether or not it is in school or at a football game. The people who feel the need to take the right of prayer away from our youth and feel that we should not have a pledge of allegiance really need to think about the reasons they are in this country to begin with . Our country was founded with prayer what is wrong with keeping with tradition we do it for everything else, such as Thanksgiving, Valentines Day. Lets keep the tradition that really counts, our belief in GOD and that Jesuse Christ is our savior because to get to the Father you have to go thru the Son.
Thank you for printing what so many of us are feeling! T & J, Oregon
this message took the words right out of my mouth, I totally agree with everything about it, I am sick and tired of being denied ny rights to my freedom of whorship, freedom to share with others in public the right to pray, the right to speak about god. I am sick of having to see my school kids gather outside the school under the flag pole to pray. these are our schools, and I am deeply sorry if it offends someone, this is our country, our curltures, our beliefs, those of you who come here and want to make changes have no respect for us. We don't go to other countries and cry offended, we don't try to make other countries change their beliefs be- cause we respect them and their beliefs. I will not stop fighting to get prayers back in our school, I have been working on it for the past three years, I think God will answer my prayers someday, and will answer all of our prayers, for now don't blame god, he isn't allowed in our schools. firstname.lastname@example.org
That's an excellent statement. It is about time. Put God first and the rest will follow. My God does not have to be anything to any one else but let me keep Him.
I agree with all of the above...but why pick on lawyers throughout the whole commentery....I have three lawyers in my family...and they all believe in God and all our rights to pray .... I say we can all make and should continue to make our comments....that is what our country is all about Thank God... even when we disagree with our country going to war...The God I believe in and pray to, does not believe in killing.....
Amen! This is what our country is founded on.... out of mutual respect for each other we can accept our differences and honor each other's choices.
I LOVE IT !!!!!!!! AND TO ALL OF THOSE THAT ARE OFFENDED BY THIS AND OTHER SUCH MATERIALS LET ME SAY THAT YOU ALSO HAVE ANOTHER RIGHT--LEAVE OUR COUNTRY AND GO TO IRAQ. YOU MIGHT JUST FIND THE NEED TO PRAY BEFORE THE GAME, DURING THE GAME, AFTER THE GAME AND WHETHER THERE IS A GAME OR NOT. ABOVE ALL, I HOPE YOU WILL PRAY BEFORE THAT LAST AND FINAL BREATH YOU TAKE BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD BEFORE YOU DEPART THIS WORLD, REST ASSURED YOU WILL WAKE UP IN A LITERAL HELL AND THERE IS NO ROAD LEADING OUT OF THERE. THINK ABOUT IT!!!
I am behind you all the way ,God bless America ,
Amen! It is about time to see this in a public forum. I, we, our family and everyone here at this office agree with these sentiments. How can this be in EVERY senator, congressman, radio and tv stations mail box? Good Job! Love your site. Heidi Jester, Ridgefield, WA
I I think this poem/statement was very well written and ezpresses my own hearts thoughts. God Bless our country and Leadership and our TROOPS. JLA1KS@AOL.COM
I Believe and I can't understand who are we hurting by expressing our beliefs. We have to listen to their complaints.
God Bless America and may the Christians wake up and take a stand for what is right and not let the devil run over us and take our Christian principles away from us. Thank you for such a page and strong words.
Thank You, Thank You for making and sharing this awesome statement. It is time that Christians have their rights respected also. With the challenges of the world today, we need the strong power of prayer to lead a christian life. We must stand up for our faith, if not for ourself, but for our future generation. Again, Thank You for putting such a powerful message out at this time, as we face the word WAR. Sincerely, Kathy Limberg email@example.com
March 18th/2003 I am from Canada. Praise The Lord for your new page!! I totally agree. All other theories about creation and so on,don't seem to come to a "final" conclusion! There is always more that some seem to have to keep on searching for...... However, there is only "one" final fact that is "a" conclusion to everything, their is no need to keep searching, and that is accepting Jesus Christ into our heart! Having head knowledge is fine, but getting the knowledge of God's word from our head to our heart is difficult to some. We have the freedom to voice the Gospel, we should not back down to those who need to hear. S.Henning,Strasbourg,Sasketchewan Canada.
I agree 100% with this article. I am a Christian and proud of it. I'm tired of hearing someone complain about my God and Savior. We Christians have rights too, and it is time we stood up to those atheists and politicians. I love America and my son is in the military. May God continue to bless our great country. LMJ
i really enjoy your site, i am not a christrian but i do know my god as you know your's. thank you for such a nice place.
Good Morning everyone. I've read and reread many of the comments and I realized that those who believe in God (truly) are those who want to share and have love in their heart. I was born in the early 50's and growing up consisted of Church and the "Pledge of Allegiance" That's how we started every day in school. When I look back on it we were lucky to have been raised in that time. Not that we had it easy, we didn't. None of the new modern conveniences that we have now, but we had something that is certainly lacking today. We knew what it was to have respect, fear, love, family, hard work and GOD in our lives. You knew how to show respect, you knew what it was to fear if you did wrong, you knew you had a whole family, you knew what hard work meant and when birthdays and Christmas rolled around you got something special.(in todays society you get something special just by going to the store) You learned of God and his love for all man kind and you extended your hand to others especially those in need. These fine principals were taught and you learned early on to apply them. Because of these values I think for the most part everyone was happy with life. The easier things got,the easier things came, we started to slack off what we had been taught and got caught up in the me, me, me and want, want, want. Turning our backs on God, on respect, work, family, and fear. What a shame. What happened to common decency, morals, family unity, genuine caring, and real love?( not that of sexual desire or of money) Could it be these things were lost when our backs were turned away from God? It certainly looks that way to me. I'd love to go back to the way life use to be. Even with lack of money and modern conveniences. Now that war is here, who will we turn to for protection, who do we pray to, where will we find comfort? I know who I'm calling on and who's always been there for me and that is my GOD!!! I am as guilty as anyone else because I got caught up in myself instead of holding on to what I had been taught, turning away from God and Church. I can honestly say that since I've come back to my earlier teachings and by accepting God into my life and heart I feel great joy, great peace and I'd love for all people to feel what I feel. The Evil One comes in many forms, and we need to always turn to our Lord, then we will be rid of the Evil that is always standing by, ready to pounce. Don't let your guard down. May we come to know a world that has compassion, love, patience, virture, respect, and worldy PEACE. Amen! DDH Didhicks@aol.com
How true!!! Lets all remember our God You do a gteat job with this and your other pages, Keep up the good work.
I believe that we have freedom of speech, and the Christians who out number those who are not should have the right to pray to our God and to Salute our Flag. This is our rights and we should be able to carry them out. What has happened to this Country. We are the natives of this country and we have opened our gates to other countries to give them freedom, they come here and try to take away our rights and freedom. I say they need to be sent back to where they came from or join our bandwagon.
This says it all. Pass this on to all you know. Pat
I am so glad that I was sent this page, with the treat of war so close I think that everyone needs to pull together and pray to GOD that our soliders are protected, if it was not for them we would not have the FREEDOMS that we have now. I say we all stand and thank GOD for what he has given us and not to pray quietly, pray together as ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Jen Avon, Ohio
Holy smokes, hasn't the religious right done enough damage?!
