By Heavens what a wonderful site, and not only boycott them for their unAmerican activities but the filth they practice on and off the screen in the name of professionals. A century two or ago actors and actresses were treated as prostitutes and those these days have proven the treatment was correct. Why are they idolized, doesn't the Bible speak against idol worship? Thank you for starting this page!

This lady is so right, we all need to stand up for our rights and our Country. We need to refuse to go to the movies. I am proud to be an American and I think tha it is necessary to stop this Dictator from his many treacherous acts against the people in Irac. The many lives that wee taken on September 11th, should make every one more concious of the terrible things that can happen. Thank God we have a President that cares enough for his country and the people in it that he is willing to do all possible to protect it.

Thank you for saying what so many are thinking. I too think the entertainment community has allowed themselves to think they actually have some devine right to guide us poor regular people. I also realize not all entertainers are anti-American and they should not be punished for what the loud mouths are doing. I support our president, our country and right now most of all our military. This is a great confirmation to my husband & I as to why we stopped going to movies many, many years ago. We have been disgusted with "Hollywood" for a very long time. We originally stopped going to movies, and renting movies because we feel it's very important to "walk your talk." When raising children there is nothing more important than being moral and geniune. Hollywood thinks selling sex is entertainment, why would we be surprised to learn of their unacceptable views in something as important as supporting our wonderful Christian president and our brave military. They should be so ashamed of themselves -but they are not. Be done with them!! We are.

To all of the Rich and famous Hollywood folks, You who speak out against this war and live In a safe country and make your fortunates, should be ashamed of yourselves. The brave men and women of this country are keeping you safe In order that you can continue to make your fortunates and carry on with your lives. Supporting the troops and backing our President seems to be the way to say Thankyou, Instead you protest In the name of blood. Now Is the time when all of us should be pulling together. Is your memory so short that you have forgotten 9-11? that was a very scary day and a very sad day for all of us and especially for thoes that lost loved one's. We go to your movies and support your films, that Is why you are making the money. I am so offended by the many of you that have spoken out and you know who you are that your movies mean nothing to me any more. I hope more Americans boycott your movies and just say enough Is enough, because I could live without them and you very easily.I am proud to be an American and I support our troops, nobody likes war but this one Is very necessary. I am glad that some of us are Intelligent enough to understand the world and the grave necessity of this war for peace and to rid ourselves of the evilness of a man like Saddam. I say frankly, If you are so unhappy here get the hell out and stay. Sincerely, Carol from Fla.

I have been very anti hollywood since they started kissing Bill Clinton on the ^&$^*, but when Martin Sheen put duct tape over his mouth and had one of his cohorts read a prayer "he had written" I lost it. The opening line to the prayer Martin Sheen had "written" is also known as the "Prayer of Saint Francis" and I have used it almost every day for the last 10 years at the mortuary where I work. I guess Saint Francis had an author he was unaware of. I am sorry. I don't want my friends over there and stand the chance of losing them, but someone has to put their foot down and fight this tyrant because if we don't we will all be as behind the times as that part of the world is. Right On!!!! I am a natural born Canadian and have always been proud to be known as a Canadian - but in recent months have had to deal with the SHOCK and EMBARRASEMENT brought about by our ILLUSTRIOUS NO-BRANER LIBERAL POLITICIANS IN OTTAWA. God Bless America, President Bush and his Government - I am with you all the way. God Bless the Coalition Troops and give the Commanders wisdom in carrying out their Mandate. It seems up here in Canada the greatest effort by Government is to cram French down everyone's throat(millions of dollars $$$$$$ has just been granted for "FRench Emersion Programs"), and to have every firearm Registered -millions of dollars $$$$$ just appropriated AGAIN !!! It's a DEAD HORSE and this Program will NEVER WORK. Canadians will never fall for CONFICATION OF OUR FIREARMS! OF COURSE - these are 'more important' than supporting our wonderful neighbors to the South,to eliminate one of the most Brutal Dictators of all time; and contributing the aforementoned 'DOLLARS' to Humanitatian Aid for the Iracki people. Now for Holliwood - do we really expect anything else? Boycott's IT!

Everything you said is totally true; these people play doctors, would you let one give you heart surgery, no!!! they are only actors! They play presidents, would you want one running the country, no!!! they are only actors! They play soldiers, do they have any idea of the horrific experience these men are facing, no!!! they are only actors! Actors can make movies for one reason, because many real soldiers have given their lifes to give us the right to be free, how dare they think this right includes biting the hand that feeds you namely the soldiers that are perishing as we speak just to make sure that others have the same rights we have;..... TO BE FREE ..... How dare they use their freedom to take advantage of the American public because of their HI PROFILE jobs! I say boycott them for as long as necessary to let them know that they are just the same as everyone else, and that they are not heart surgens, not the president, and definately not the soldiers whom are fighting bravely to create a brave new world where all men are created equal and FREE!

I totally agree! From the earliest of times God said, an eye for an eye. He gave us our right to freedom, to speak and the brains to take care of ourselves. The devil works in the most amazing ways to make it look like we are doing very bad things (killing innocent civilians, or are they Iraqui in civilian clothing?). The only bad thing we are doing is allowing these evil, very bad men to rule, dictate, abuse, starve and murder their own people and ours. Let Freedom ring! I pray daily and nightly for our leaders, our men and women over seas, and here and for leaders everywhere to stand together against the evil. That evil can often be seen and heard from people that want us to admire them, but you sure don't see any of them signing up to help protect our rights! Maybe they would like to go live the life of an Iraqi woman for the next year and see if they aren't screaming for someone to come protect them!

.....In response to your message to the Hollywood gang. Yes I agree with you. Some of these people that are in show business think because they can memorize a few lines (their vocabulary is very small they have to relie on swear words and using the Lord's name in vain ) think they have a high I.Q. in the polictical arena. They are so against killing a dictator and yet the many thousands of babies that some of them advocate in killing. Some of these should have been aborted and we wouldn't have to listen to their garbage. But no, God loves them also. This war is just a continuation of the Bibical wars between Abrahams'seed. Maybe Saddam is from the seed of Nebuchadnezzar! He was a mad man also. This is a Holy war that's being faught. It started in the garden of eden. It will end with Armageddon. There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace sets up His kingdom upon this earth ruling within a righteous and a holy people. I don't like war and neither does God....God made King David and when he was a young teenager he with God on his side killed the giant (whom God made) with 5 stones he also made, but needing to use only one smoothe stone that found it's mark in the middle of the giants' forehead. You Bible slinging people who claim you know what God's word says....don't repeat what you have heard some'one else say it means...get into it and "Rightly Divide" the word of truth, as it says we should do. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Jesus Christ died a very bloody death for "ALL" mankind. From the beginning, anything worth having was worth dying for.Freedom and liberty has always been fought for. Our trouble in America today is too many heathen has come here with their false, pagan gods. As American we had to always fight to set people free. One day if these dictators are let alone they will come here to take over and then who is going to set us free? I'm a native American and my family and I enjoy the freedom of this land...we have so many enemies that wants to destroy our nation and they are not all overseas. We fly our flag proudly. Those of you who think we worship this flag....no we don't any more than the Bible. It's what these two things stand for and that symbol is embedded deep within our spirit. The flag that flys in the wind is the very freedom it symbolizes for those of you who go knocking on our doors week after week saleing your religion. You people who want to take God out of everything. You New Agers (by the way that was one of the first religions in the garden that mother Eve let her serpantine mind embrace)there is nothing new about you. But you have the freedom to flaunt it around. In God we trust for this nation that was given to us by God. One nation under God in Liberty and Justice for "ALL".

I too agree that the entertainers are getting out of hand with their actions, however, before we start boycotting everything, please remember the little people. Please remember that it is not only the entertainers that profit from this. The actors are not the people who sell us the tickets, sell us the popcorn, or clean our theaters, it is the average everyday citizen that uses works in this place to pay their bills, feed their children and pay their taxes. If there is no business, it is the average person that is going to lose their job. Our economy is bad enough right now. Taking things like this to the extreme is not going to have near as much effect on the actors as it is going to have on the person that serves us at the movie. When you make as much money as the actors do, they will no feel the hit like the we are trying to do by boycotting them. There are other ways of handling it without hurting the little people. Please look at the big picture before you make any rash decisions.

If we had done it sooner in other wars they wouldnt have killed so many jews, and had time to dig millions of tunnels to hid in, in other wars. We wait until a leader is totally prepaired to do their worst. I think we should have taken this action back during the desert storm. But at least this president didn't wait untill many lifes were ended to stop the terrorism of an insane leader. Maybe Hollywood will feel diferently if the twin towers were in there City. That is one of our many freedoms that we have that looks like it has been taken for granted and abused. Maybe the protesters should take a look at the reasons we always protect out freedoms on foreign soils. It is to try and prevent having to protect our freedoms on our own soils. "Freedom" protect it or lose it. My Thanks and prayers go out to my brothers in uniform who protect our rights and freedoms. Pentagon officials have stated that there will be no broadcasting of flag draped coffins bearing the remains of soldiers when they arrive at Dover AFB. The reason is ostensibly to spare family members from feeling obligated to travel to Maryland to meet the bodies as they land. This is no doubt an example of the compassionate conservative approach to warfare, and has nothing to do with the image of dead service personnel returning to the homeland they supposedly died defending. There have been several instances of Tomahawk cruise missiles going off course and crash landing. Military officials said that more than three hundred of these weapons have been fired, but only "two or three percent" have misfired or gone off course. Given that each Tomahawk costs about half a million dollars, this would represent about nine or ten missiles costing a total of about five million dollars. I was wondering if something costing so much and having such an important function comes with a warranty, and if not, does the taxpayer get any money back from Boeing when Tomahawks fail to hit their mark and crash elsewhere? The US military is referring to surrendering soldiers who fire upon their victims and suicide bombers as "terrorists". There is little about war that is NOT terrifying, so I find this somewhat puzzling. Playing "dirty", using guerilla tactics, discarding uniforms and trying to blend in with civilian populations is a logical approach to warfare if you are being bombed, invaded and occupied by a larger, more powerful army (even if you are part of the axis of evil). During the Revolutionary War, the British Redcoats felt that the colonial Americans were exhibiting "terrorist" behavior by hiding behind trees and shooting at them instead of lining up in neat rows according to the European tradition of battle. Some things never change. Much has been said regarding the use of plastic wrap and duct tape to reduce the threat of terror in the US. I have discovered a method of using duct tape that immediately reduces the threatening feeling brought on by the spectrum of yellow, orange and red alerts permeating the media coverage of the war. Place a strip of duct tape along the bottom of your TV screen, so that it completely covers that annoying text stream of paranoid rambling brought to you by your (favorite?) news service. Now you can watch the bombs falling on Baghdad without distraction from the "news crawl". If this fails to bring relief, there is always the "off" button. Aaron Brown (who made his "fame" just because he happened to be the anchor on CNN during the morning of the September 11th crisis) was going on and on about how offended he was that the Al Jazeera TV network was showing the mutilated bodies of dead US servicemen and interrogation of US POWs. My observation is that the gloves seem to be off regarding what will and will not be acceptable behavior in this conflict. When chemical or biological warfare breaks out, that will take "offense" to a whole new level. Therefore if he can't stand the heat of war and the awful reality of what it really entails, he should get out of the studio. I was a small child during the Vietnam War. I was fourteen when the US left Saigon "with honor". Our current generation is involved in a conflict with a country whose language we do not read or speak, whose customs we find mysterious and barbaric, whose religion we find threatening and bellicose and whose people do not trust our motives for invading. We are saying that we intend to "liberate" Iraq, but the biggest achievement trumpeted by our political and military leaders thus far is that they have "saved the oil fields". This has been done at the expense of virtually all our important international relationships and our international reputation for justice and honor. Our opponents have begun to melt into the background and the war is devolving into a prolonged guerilla conflict. The US has two dissonant goals: to "liberate" the people of Iraq and "eliminate" Saddam Husseinís regime. Once the protagonists remove their uniforms it will be next to impossible to differentiate between those we want to liberate and those we want to eliminate. As a result, many will be wrongfully eliminated and, ultimately, nobody will be liberated. When the iron hand of the Soviet Union was removed from Eastern Europe, factions that were held in check by the tyranny of the communist rulers were soon at each otherís throats. When the iron hand of the Saddam Husseinís regime is removed from Iraq, factions that were held in check by the tyranny of the Baath party will also be at each otherís throats. The uneasy equilibrium of the Middle East will be further disrupted and nobody in the Arab world will ever trust the United States with responsibility for sorting out the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, especially if chemical or biological warfare breaks out. How long until the US leaves Iraq "with honor"?

First, I agree with your support of the men and women fighting for our freedom, however, I don't believe your suggestion to boycott Hollywood is the solution. You make some good points but don't follow through. By boycotting "Hollywood" and not going to the movies you are failing to hit the people you want to send a message to. It's not all of "Hollywood" that is anti-war and stopping your movie patronage is not the way to get your message through. This method only makes the greater population (who I might say do not carry the same views) suffer for the "sins" of the few. You must target your message to those individuals whom you disagree with and let them know exactly why they are being targeted. Let's take Martin Sheen for instance, perhaps watching an episode of the West Wing and seeing just exactly who sponsors the program. You can then target those sponsors and tell them exactly why you are going to boycott them. ei. Martin Sheen's anti-war views are considered un-patriotic and you can not support a brand that supports a show that features him. Realize, that this boycott may make the sponsor pull out their funding for the program, but then again, more than just Martin Sheen is hurt by the actions. The rippling effects are felt by the manufacturer of the products, the television stations, the production crew of the program, etc... Is Martin Sheen hurt? Only if he loses his source of income because of his views. So how can we let our disgust of the loud mouth war protesters in Hollywood be known? Perhaps doing something positive for those whose sentiments we agree with will be the way. There are quite a few Hollywood types that fully support the mission in Iraq. I don't have the answers, I just know that boycotting the movies is not the way to go. Afterall, the people who work at the theaters are the people who would be most effected and least able to survive the actions and these folks who take our tickets and pop our popcorn have not hurt us. Any other ideas on how to accomplish this feat?

Hollywood has taken more than what you describe from our on culture and has even caused many not to believe in the Lord as well. Satin is surely gaining ground in our society and most , not all , parents don't even have a clue of whats going on , so how do you expect the younger generation to know when they see the parents doing the wrong things. Crooks are being caught daily. God Bless our leaders and all our people in service. I am elderly and all I can do is pray for them and for peace. For you people against us being in Iraq: Do you go along with Suddam cutting out the tongue of the man last week in front of his people just because he spoke out agaist him. And how about the lady that was just picked up and called a prostitute and had her head chopped off. It makes me sick that a sicko like Hussian can get by with treating people like that. For 12 years people have complained that Papa Bush didnt finish the job. Now lets all stick together and pray that the job will be finished and those people and us too can live in peace.Maybe we can start a collection to ship some of those bigmouths out of our country that keep running everything down. I am in support of this ladies comments. GOD bless America, He gave us a leader who will stand up for America and not allow terrorists to come into this country and destroy our homeland. We must stop this dictator before he gets into our country and destroys all we have build over the last 200 plus years. If you love our country, you want to defend it. If you don't love it, leave it. Go to Iraq to live under it's dictator.

My wife and I have 40 years of continuous military service between us and fifty years combined service. We are sick at heart at the modern versions of Jane Fonda. Military people put Jane Fonda out of business in Hollywood. For me, I won't even watch movies that star her father or her brother either. Same genes as far as I am concerned. How long ago was Jane Fonda? I don't remember anymore, but I know one thing for absolute certain. I have never spent one red cent on a movie, or a tv show, or a commercial product, or any other thing that would produce income for Jane Fonda or anyone in her family since her trip to Viet Nam. If she comes on radio or TV, I change channels. It's time to do the same with the likes of Sean Penn, George Clooney, Martin Sheen, the Ditzy Chicks, and a host of others in Hollywood. Same goes for Dan Rather. You can bet I'm right there with you in your effort. While I support free speech, and I have been shot at trying to defend their right to express an opinion, once the country decides to go to war, it's time to shut up and pass ammunition. No more fighting to tie. Doesn't anyone in Hollywood remember Bob Hope and Ann Margaret? W R Humphrey

Let me start by saying that I am very proud to be born and raised an American. My 1st couson served in the Airforce, and fought in Desert Storm. We was shot down and captured as a p.o.w. I saw and felt first hand what we all went through. My heart goes out to all the families of our brave troops fighting for what they believe in. Follow the lead this e-mail is sending to us. Let's take a stand for our country also. Every little bit added up may lead to alot.

As you said, we are all (even Hollywood) allowed to voice our opinions. Our children are also allowed to listen to all opinions. I, too, have relatives in the service, in Kuwait. There is no doubt all of us (yes, even Hollywood) do support our troops......but no, not all of us think they should be there, therefore, do not support this cowboy president's (or his administration's)policies. Now that it's started and we're in the thick of it, I pray it's over soon. I also pray that his will follow in his Daddy's footsteps: four years & he's "outahere".

Subject: ONE Aussies point of view. I am probably going to start a different kind of war with my comments, and will probably get shot down in flames, but...here goes. First of all, as a proud Australian, I wholeheartedly support Bush, Blair and Howard in their endeavours, whatever the ulterior motive may be (and believe me, there IS one!) because at the end of it all, one way or another, the most evil man in the world will be gone. But I do not support the way they are going about doing this. I believe this war is really about Money and Power (isn't every war??) and the Iraqies freedom is secondary, but THAT will be the bonus for the ones who are left and who want it. Is this a case where 'The End Justifies the Means?' I feel very deep pride, love and sympathy for EVERY single serviceman doing his or her duty, Not just the Americans. Our TV coverage here (SBS, ABC, World News) mentions the Americans almost exclusively, the British sometimes, and the Australians hardly ever. Britian and Australia are relatively small countries when compared with America, but we are giving up our service men and women on the same scale as America, and will suffer the same hardships and losses as you. But between us all, we will not come anywhere near the suffering that is being, and will be experienced, by the Iraqi people. We have also made our peaceful country a future target for retribution, in only God knows what form, by joining this war. The problems in Iraq and like countries, have been there since forever and I find it hard to believe, that with all the Intelligence forces and the excellent technology your great country has available, (spies, undercover agents, satelites etc,) that Saddam Husein and his henchmen, could not have been annihalated without resorting to a full scale invasion, which will most certainly have repercussions for years to come and divide the world. If this doesn't turn into a World war, I'll be very surprised, and the losses sustained are going to be greater than any of you are now imagining. America cannot look after it's own poor, destitute and underpriviledged now, so how IS America going to manage a few million more??? Every American, every Brit, every Aussie is going to pay...long after the war is finished (if ever) until the reasons behind it are just a dim memory and we are sick to death of paying. As far as not watching movies anymore because of a few Hollywood stars comments, I feel that is a childish and futile act (like...if you say something to upset me, then I won't play with you anymore) but if people feel that is a noble thing to do, then that is their perogative. There are a few absolute bastard actors that I detest, but if the role they play, (and the movie) is a good one...then I will watch it. To me, that is a trivial matter and there are much more important things to be concerned about, and to put our energies into. You are worried about the influence the entertainment industry is having on your children; I would be more worried about the influence this war WILL have on them and the hatred it WILL breed. Have these Hollywood actors, who dared to voice their opinion against yours, said to you, "You don't agree with my opinion, I don't want you watching my movies, so YOU leave America." ?? I have read EVERY single comment on these 2 pages (has anyone else?) and feel that the minority who have replied against the majority, must be Australians, as they are talking sense and don't appear to be brainwashed into believing everything that is being reported. Please, people, put this in it's proper perspective and realise that these actors who have upset you so, are only people with an opinion and a different point of view. EVERYBODY is entitled to that, (no matter what it may be and without being told to leave the country) and remember, there are people who can justify a war, and there are people who can't even handle the thought of war in any circumstance. Who's right and who's wrong??? IN WAR, THERE ARE NO WINNERS and everybody concerned will pay a price. My only hope is that the cost is not too great to bear, and my empathies go to ALL the people who will be left to grieve. The hand that rocks the cradle gets left holding the baby. How true! For this reason I did not watch the Academay Awards. Most of these movie actors have the brain of a flea, what their main worry is that the attention to the war will supercede attention to them. Far Out---The House of Representatives have recently voted on the 2004 budget which will cut funding for veteran's health care and benefit programs by nearly $25 billion over the next ten years. Ain't that cool. It narrowly passed by a vote of 215 to 212, and came just a day after Congress passed a resolution to "Support Our Troops." Let me ask you a question... How exactly does this vote support our troops? Does leaving our current and future veterans without access to health care and compensation qualify as supporting them? I believe we should "Support our troops". YES. But if Bush is not supporting them, why do you support Bush? You better re-read what I just said. SCARY. After researching this completely I found that Bush is not supporting our troops at all. He is sticking them out in harms way and reducing care and aid to our Vets when they come back from doing his dirty work. I'm going to a movie, you- best do some more homework. If Bush be against our troops, who be for them?

I am very proud to be an American too! I do not agree with this war. It is wrong! What happened on 09/11 is terrible! --------No one has proven that Saddam Hussein was behind that terrible event. ------- He is a villainous leader. There are ways of dealing with that. The U.S. going to war when there is no immanent threat is irresponsible. There is a process that the world community can follow and that is through the U.N. As a nation we are tearing apart all that we have worked hard for over 200 years to build. That we are a nation built on principles that honor the best in the human spirit, and honors God. We have transgressed from commonly accepted international norms in trying to help a captive people. Vengeance begets vengeance. Just because we happen to be a super power at this time in history does not give us the right to abuse that power by inflicting our President's will not just upon Saddam and his regime, but upon the whole world community. The so called wisdom of our present administration is not greater than the collective wisdom of the larger world community that we live in and take part in. The cost of this war will be mind boggling. Thanks to this administration, not even 1 penny has been included in next years budget to assist with the rebuilding of Afghanistan after all of our bombings, not to mention that Mr. Bin Laden is still on the loose. I DO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. I hope you will be just as convinced in calling upon our president, Mr. Bush to be more reasonable with the budget so that our troops will be cared for in a humane way when they return, especially those wounded and in need of health resources. The president will never be able to "support our troops" by giving huge tax breaks to our wealthiest citizens and also care for our "wounded troops" when they will be in need. There will not be enough monies to provide for their care, as is already evidenced by the lack of care for the troops from the last Gulf War. Yes I am proud to be an American, I do support our troops, but I believe that we are fighting a war that is wrong, because we have gone into it without the support of the rest of the world, and with Great Arrogance. This Self-Serving Pride will come back to haunt us. Also in the mean time, watch our taxes go up to pay for all this. And who wins when our taxes go up? ----- The same people who win when oil profits hit "their" pockets... --- It is not our troops, nor the average American that will benefit. Period. Peace eventually, . Giancarlo

Yes , we are with you . I would add this : if you have movie channels in your cable / satellite , cancel them ; if you have expanded cable , cut it back to basic . The best way to teach these elitists to respect our Military and stop tampering with public opinion is to cut back the flow of $$$$ into their wallet . Oh yea , stop renting and buying DVD and Videos also . We fly Flag -ments here ; take all your ONE dollar bills and turn them into Military support notes . We mark a letter T in front of the word ONE on the right side of the bill where the green seal is . This makes the word Tone = as in The USA and our Military " Set the Tone for Liberty " in a world filled with hate , opression and injustice . I add a G [ G one or Gone to put down the next Hitler / Tojo ] .Add ph = ph-one [ Heroes cannot come home each day right now , they can only PHONE home like ET .] Can our next ballot have a law if 2/3 of voters agree , we revoke the Citizenship of war protesters who turn violent or block commerce . Will give them a one way ticket to any country they like , or else double all their taxes .We add a B one = Bone , they risk their flesh & bone , Voluntarily for our flag , I say all honorable Veterans should pay 2% less in taxes than all the Hollywood elite , peace - nicks / protesters and the rest of us , including me , who never put on the uniform , we should gladly demand they raise our taxes one last time [ by what 0.67 % ] so our Military can be set above the rest of us because that is where they are to every American who flies the Flag in their heart . They are the best of us all , in all the world . Add a Z = Zone , back in a war zone and still in " The Zone " . If you have to give $$ to anti - war heads ; pay them in C -one , Cone $$ = as in you can still enjoy an ice cream CONE while good men & women are pushing thru a desert . And d-one = done " We will come home , once the job is DONE . L-one = LONE [ One lone American is all it takes to keep the flag of Liberty flying .N-one = None [ this is how many Nazi terrorists we will leave in power in IRAQ , none . Make a buck $ talk and sing , God Bless America , wherever it travels . We also circle 911 in red & blue if found in any serial $$ ; and we offer a $49.11 reward for these serial # on one or five $$ bills : H 12 07 1941 A , D 06 06 1944 D , B 09 11 2001 T , C 07 04 1776 * , I 02 23 1945 J , G 03 19 2003 i , and 1000 other days of America that everyone should know , if you don't , ask me or go to a library and read more / work less mandatory overtime .An Amer-I-Can 4 V-P

Upperclass Hollywood. I have to laugh. This is just another example that money can't buy class. Our fellow American brothers and sisters, and numerous other allies are dying for our nation's continued freedom and that of other countries worldwide. They are fighting for our right to be ABLE to voice our opinions. When these entertainers abuse and take advantage of the forum in which they voice their opinion which they are so ungratefully FREELY to do, they show absolutely no class. They come across as uneducated, ungrateful, and self-righteous people whom I am ashamed to call a fellow Americans. The entertainment they provide is just that entertainment, like a jester to a King. We are the Kings, they are the jesters. Without us their industry would be nothing. Without the policies of the United States and our military's continued effort to protect those policies they would not even have the opportunity to do what they do in the manner that they do it. Shame on the portion of Hollywood that brings shame on our great FREE nation. Danielle, TX, A Grateful American to my Country and Military that gives and continues to give this precious gift to me.

GOD BLESS THE U.S.A., OUR TROOPS, THE TROOPS OF THE COALITION OF THE WILLING, AND OUR PRESIDENT. PS...The problem with Hollywoods so-called stars is that they aren't voted in.....because then we sure could VOTE 'EM OUT! Americans pull it together...speak out against SADDAM as he has his speak out against AMERICANS...Speak out with your wallets, boycott the Dixie Chicks, Professor DeGenova of NY's Columbia University...boycott all French, German, Canadian, and Russian goods and products.....there are plenty of American made alternatives and those of our allies and country's who support our same beliefs and aren't instructing and inducing anti-American rhetoric. It's up to you America to show the world how strong, loyal and patriotic we are! When we all stand United we cannot be Divided! Let's take to the streets and protest Saddam!

I agree. I don't go to the movies ofter in fact very seldom. I can't afford it, but I will even stop watching them on TV. Thank you for saying what should have been said from the start. We are Americans. We did not get this way by sitting our hands. Look at our flag that grand old flag. She has seen many battles from long past to present for the right of freedom. That freedom has also gave us the right to speak out. Inflential people seem to want to speak out and be heard & usually are because of WHO they are , but what about us who go about our daily lives working hard and long hours to support our families? The soldiers and their families who go off and fight to give us the right and freedom we have? Lets be heard too. I support you. Thanks to you we can sleep soundly in our beds at night. It use to be a treat to go to the movies. It is a shame that our entertainers should be so loudly vocal on this. We can be loud and vocal too! No one truely wants war. It is usually the last resort. But we are in this for better or worse and if we don't fight it there, soon it will be on our own soil. God help us !!!And to just listen to those who are protesting against this and obeying would be the WORSE thing we could do. To stop cold turkey and pull our troops out when we have gone this far?? No way! The battle is the Lords and the Victory is ours and we WILL win this one for we are fighting the devil himself! A house divided will not stand and if those ENTERTAINERS want to win this one they need to get off their duff and go out into the REAL world where the real battle is and stop PLAYING at war and face the REAL thing. Those who are gathers in the street protesting , try befriending one of those you so strongly support and see if you can walk away without injury. Saddam does not CARE who you are and would not think TWICE about sneding someone into the middle of the crowd and blowing you ALL away even though you speak out for him and his way because in reality that is what you are doing. Downing the president and the soldiers and supporting a madman. Freedom was not handed out on a silver platter!! It was bought with the lives of our loved ones & through blood guts and tears.!!! My husband says we are at war here at home too. We fight amoungst ourselves and can't agree. But this is OUR homes. We should come together! Those who are born here and those who came here for a better life and to be free from the exact thing we are fighting against in Iraq. Wise up people, though some have said America is the land of milk and honey but the milk has gone sour and honey bitter should go back and try living as well elsewhere. Sincerly and badly written but from the heart. MCG in NC

Some people have forgotten that the reason they have the freedom to express their opinions is because brave men and women have died defending that right. I am not going to blame all of Hollywood for the opinions of some. I agree with the sentiment that if we boycott movies, we will hit them where it hurts . But consider--no man is an island. We are all connected to each other and by boycotting the movies, we suffer a trickle down affect. It starts in Hollywood, but it ends in our home towns with, for example, the movie owner who can't pay his monthly bills, or the high school kid who works there part time who he has to fire because he's not making enough money to pay. Do you see what I mean. I'm not saying don't do it,I'm just saying that we need to see the larger picture in all matters. There are no winners in any war. All people suffer, even the innocent. That is the nature of war. To the extend that a war can be called just, I believe this one is. To those who are against this war I ask: Would you have our government wait until the terrorism was brought to our shores again? I suspect it would not take too long a period of time before that happened again. The Iraqi people, as a whole, appear to hate all Americans and wish us dead, simply because we are Americans. I do not hate all Iraqis or all muslims and I wish no one any ill will. It is my sincere prayer that this war ends quickly with as little pain and suffering as possible. I pray, also, that eventually all mankind can co-exist in peace, regardless of their religious or political beliefs. ESM, FL

I find it ironic that the hollywood actors who indulge in their right to freedom of speech, would deny the Iraqi citizens that same right. Iraqi's are dominated by an evil dictator, who will put them in a meat grinder if they speak their opinion about about Saddam Hussein - as some of the Hollywood actors have. These actors treasure and fully indulge this great freedom that our soldiers have fought and DIED to give them. Yet they criticize our government for trying to liberate the Iraqi people so they may have that same right. I sense a little hypocracy here. The time for bashing the president and the american government is over. How many movies has hollywood made regarding the treatment of our troops at home during vietnam. Let's face it, no, we don't want to have to put our military forces lives in danger. But, are we to stand back and let this lunatic mutilate his own people, and then head for us. It is time to support our troops, NO MATTER WHAT YOU FEEL ABOUT WAR!! Fight the politics when it's over. We need and should be a united front. That is why we are called the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Dear proud to be an American, I've been an American for seventyone years, and I have always have been proud of that fact. I'm amazed at what I have seen going on around the world, as well as America concerning this war on American T.V. I believe they should call a halt to all public broadcasting of the news about the war. The news people are as dumb as rocks in my opinion. Our men are fighting for the best cause in the world PEACE and I am behind them 100%, in fact if I could , I would be over there helping them out. I pray for every military person fighting for our survival, no matter what soil they are on. We in America have got to stand up for our rights and stop letting every Tom Dick and Harry influence what we beleive in. That is why we are in the shape were in now. We won World War2, because we all was working together for freedom and rights, and God was with us because He stands for TRUTH, I hope and pray that He does not leave our presence, if He does we are in trouble. I applaud this page 100%. This is America and because of our troops we do have the freedom of speech but with that freedom comes the responsibility to say what you want and not be disrespectful to those that gave you that freedom. It's kind of like don't bite that hand that feeds you. How do you think those men and women that are fighting for your freedom of speech feel when they see people calling them killers?? They are fighting a war so you can choose your life and not have to surrender your freedom to a dictator like Sadaam. How would those in Hollywood feel if someone threatened their children if they didn't fight? To those that say no war for oil I have this to say - Are you even aware that we get almost all of our oil from South America???? To those that feel that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11, think again. Do you really think that Bin Laden did that all on his own with no help?? There have been ties found that Al Queda and Sadaam are working together. What a shock that is!!! NOT! If you remember correctly after 9/11 President Bush declared war on TERRORISM not just Bin Laden. Sadaam is a terrorist to his own people the way Hitler was a terrorist to the Jewish people. And his sons are just as bad. You also have to remember that we as the public do not have all of the intelligence information that the President and his Cabinet have. Do you really think that President Bush wanted this war?? To me, it looks like he did everything to try to not go to war but Sadaam made it happen by not disarming in the TWELVE years he had and by terrorizing his own people. God bless America and God bless our troops. AND THANK YOU TO ALL IN THE SERVICE THAT ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM. Michelle Schuamburg, IL

Likewise, it is WE, the people, who can bring them down!! I haven't been to a theater in twenty years...and I don't feel I have missed a thing...and from what I do see on the cable networks, what they do produce is pure unadultered crap!!! Movies used to be fun, some of them anyway, but no more...more and more they want to send a message, usually one denouncing the very qualities that made this country great and I'm sick to death of it!!! So, I will continue my boycott and hopefully substantial numbers of ordinary Americans will join us. There have been many comments made about Hollywood's elite having the freedom of expressing how they belive. Yes, they have that right, but in my opinion they are abusing their right by using award ceremonies and other public events to admonish the President and the war, knowing and EXPECTING their fame and admiration to influence public opinion. Yes, they will see it won't get them very far but I am ashamed that they have used their power - or what they perceive as power - in such a way. It is not because they disagree with the President or the War that I now have no respect for any of them; it is because they have used their fame as a platform to TRY to persuade other Americans. I still say, if you think this is such an terrible country with horrible leadership, you have the FREEDOM to hit the road, Jack. And I would say that to anyone, Hollywood star or next door neighbor. This is America and all of us, Hollywood or not, are entitled to say whatever we want whenever we want to. I am glad that those who are strong public figures are using their right, as Americans, to speak up and let the world know that not everyone is for this war. I am also glad that mothers and fathers and the blue collar workers have a voice thru the internet to reach thousands of people and let people know that they support the war effort. I am an American, born and raised in this wonderful nation, a place where I can support our troops and pray for their safe return while at the same time oppose the war that is killing innocent citizens in Iraq. There is no easy solution to this problem, but voicing our opinions is one way to let out some of the frustration we all feel. My opinions are influenced by knowledge and education, not by those on breadboxes preaching. I am intellegent enough to form my own opinions about this war, our nation and our President without being influenced by Hollywood, and for this reason I will not boycott the film industry. Thank you for expressing my sentiments about the majority of the entertainment media. Thanks to their pursuit of fame and wealth, regrettably due to public support, they have taught at least two generations that violence is more real than love or compassion, and instantaneous self-gratification is more important than a life-long pursuit of integrity with happiness. I can gladly withold my money from supporting all but a small minority of "Hollywood". I spend vastly more of my money on spiritual and compassionate objectives, yet am still blessed to live comfortably in a country with freedom. Each "Hollywood" entertainer or producer who speaks against the prevailing majority of Americans, and their values, is permanently removed from my support. Its time for the silent majority to show some guts in this country and stand up against those that continue to infiltrate our children's minds with filth and trash. Not only that but to feed them violence, sex and a way of life that degrades what God intended in the very beginning. I got sick to the stomach when Jane (Hanoa) Fonda stood with the North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. This makes me even sicker(excuse the language) to see this liberal movie bunch feeding our young people this anti-war garble against a regime that has killed its own people without any thought and respect for human life. I am in full support of a boycott of the movie industry and I suggest loading them up on a large ship and dropping them off in the middle of Bagdad and let them get a real perspective on what we are over there fighting for!

Hello, I and others are currently using the local newspaper here in Carlsbad, NM to try to rid a certain Liberal treasonous contributor to this paper. So far the poll is showing to "Get Rid of Him", this is democracy working as it should, by popular vote. It appears there are more sensible people here in this town then I realised and that is refreshing. Keep up the good work, I'm with you and have been for years, IT IS OUT OF HAND, we must do something or suffer the fate of the Roman Empire. These were peopl who only wanted to be entertained, sound familiar? Frank Burchardt, Carlsbad, NM

Hooray for this brave lady, who so eloquently expressed the thoughts of many of the 70% of the loyal patriotic Americans. It is about time we all banded together and make our voices heard, too. The Hollywood bunch may have access to the airwaves to express their opinions, publicly, but that is not the only way to make a voice heard. We are doing it here and by passing this along to everyone on our mailing list. We are all aware how far and wide emails can travel, perhaps even landing in the mailbox of some of those Hollywood self opionated entertainers, though I doubt that it would penetrate their closed minds. I will never forget the morning of 9/11, as I watched, in horror, as the Twin Towers collasped, the Pentagon burned and listened to the voices from the doomed plane. How can anyone forget? I pray for all those fine young men and women who are fighting to preserve our freedoms, which we have enjoyed all our lives and, perhaps bestow upon those who have never experienced it at all. I agree, we can do without the movies and tv shows and fight back. Where there is a will, there is a way. GOD BLESS AMERICA and be with us all. Sue J. Wisconsin

Bless you for taking the time to speak out. I was driving to work this morning & heard that Robin Williams has joined the critics by calling President Bush a "Dictator" & speaking out against him & our troops & against America as so many of our sick Hollywood "stars" have done. I was wondering what it would take to compile a list of those who are so full of hatred for President Bush & of America in general. I will support Boycott Hollywood & encourage anyone else who will listen to do the same. These people sure don't mind the filth they put on the screen (allowed by American freedom) and the money they make by doing it, so I sincerely hope that we, as patriotic Americans will show these people we really don't need them here. They really do need to go to Iraq or wherever they want, but DO NOT STAY IN A COUNTRY THEY DESPISE!! Leave America for Americans!! Again, God bless you; God bless America; and especially GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS! We owe them everything!!

I agree wholeheartedly with you. The actors, like so many of our sports figures have become heroes for those children who don't have active, participating parents. What a shame that they should learn the ways of the world from some overpaid jock and actor who doesn't care anything about them. That is the same with their stand on the war. They are not really thinking about the big picture. There are many innocent lives involved here. We have to do what we can to protect the innocent. My entire family supports President Bush and his administration in what they are doing. We pray for them daily that God will give them wisdom to do what is right. And, we believe, that President Bush listens to God for guidance. Thank you for the message.

Hi, I am in total agreement with you that we should boycott the movie industry in any way possible. What gives them the right to try to tell us what to think. If it wasn't for us in the first place, none of them would have the star status and the money they have now. It is only becuase of the public paying to watch them in movies and such that they have gotten to where they are today. It seems that alot of them are just showing the old adage that with power and fame comes stupidity. I have to wonder how many of them or even how many of the protesters against Bush and this war had somebody involved in the attack on Sept. 11th. I would hazard to guess that none of them did. If they did, they would not be so quick to jump on the anti-war bandwagon. The United States was once a superpower because people knew that if you messed with us there was going to be a hell of a price to pay, Remember the Japanese, "We have awakened a sleeping Giant". Well we have become soft as a nation and I am firmly behind the Bush administrations efforts to make us a feared superpower again. People talk about killing women and children and civilians, well did you ever stop to realize that the majority of those so called civilians have been taught from birth to hate americans and to kill us whenever they can. And I wonder what kind of resolve all these protesters would have if someone came up and just punched them in the face or killed someone they know and love, how many of them would really turn the other cheek or try to resolve it with peace. Not many Im sure. I am totally behind our troops and would be there with them if I could. I say we kick the crap out of Iraq and send a powerful message to the world that you don't mess with America and expect to get away with it. It makes me remember a line from a movie I saw a few years ago about Al Capone, An irish cop was telling Elliott Ness, the way to deal with these kind of people is if one of them puts one of yours in the hospital, you put one of theirs in the grave.

I listen to the intelligent, informed people to make my decisions. I'd hate to see the teenagers at the movie theatres all get laid off, but we have no other choice. I think as highly of them as I do of Jane Fonda and her wonderful views about the Viet Nam War and our troops, and for their information, that is that she is TRASH and so are the so-called "stars" with their negative comments and actions against the US! I can think of nothing that could make our wonderful troops feel worse than to see the people of the very country they are trying to protect not supporting them. I pray that God will take care of our troops, leaders and especially our President (whom I support 110%), and yes, even the riff-raff who dares to protest against our precious America! If you ask me, people who protest against our country should go live in the country they want us to leave alone! The sooner the better.

I am a senior citizen and the kind of garbage they call entertainment is, to me, not worth watching. I wouldn't pay good money to see it and wouldn't watch if it was free. It is about time the disenters in Hollywood get on a plane, boat or whatever and run over to see Saddam. They think they are so great, let they convice him he is right in what he does. Nicely said. If we Americans weren't so honorable & always going by the rules, we'd have put out a $1 million bounty for Hussein years ago... would've saved us a lot of time, money, and lives. Why should the world sit back and let these cruel dictators stay in power by terrorizing their own people into submission. Give them an inch & they'll take a mile, as they say. Also, 'so they say' ... If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. Let's stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for ALL PEOPLE. That's what America is all about. Thanks to the soldiers and their families for sacrificing their all for all of us. And about Hollywood, don't let the noisy minority speak for the rest. Amen to this post. Hollywood has so much influence in our country. I believe as a country we need to band together. Many are not in favor of this war and that is their right, but to make such comments about our president and our country is uncalled for. I think that the only message these people are sending is that we are a country that is ununited in which case we could be viewed as weak by many of our enemies. I have a son who is in the middle east, and yes I too wish we were not at war and that my son was home safe and sound with us. But I am very proud of him for fighting for the freedom that gives others the rights to make these comments and have these protests. My heart goes out to all of our troops and their families that are being bombarded by all of these anti war protesters, I know that our service men and women must be very hurt when they see these people acting this way while they are over there laying their lives on the line for them! May God Bless us all and Keep his hands firmly upon our troops.

I applaud you for taking a stand on this issue. I think it is time for all the entertainers who are so disgruntled with our President and 70% of our American people's view against this tyranny, to go live with Saddam Hussein and see what kind of salary they get. The average person in Iraq lives on approximately $1600.00 per year. I truly think all antiwar activists should go over there and live for a while, and then see who is right and who is wrong on this issue. I am stunned that people with even average intelligence let alone those who think they know everything, can't or won't see the oppression of these people. Germany was oppressed by Hitler, and I suppose today, these people would expect us to turn our heads and pretend it was not happening. President Bush and our American troops are the real heroes here and it is time to let them know how much we appreciate and love them. In my home we reward good behavior not bad behavior. Let's place our rewards where they go!!

In regard to your web page "The Peoples Voice - Subject Hollywood", I would like to make the following response. First, as a veteran of the Korean con- flict, I would like to say that I'm proud to be an American, I support the troops now fighting in Iraq, but I do not support the reason they are there. I have to question why the Wonder Woman who wrote the letter attacking the entire entertainment industry chose not to sign her name. My name is Richard Lewis, no relation in any way to the comedian and Hollywood movie actor. I'm not famous and what I have to say on the issue will probably have little or no impact relating to this matter. Never the less, every time I hear on the radio or on television that another hero has been killed or injured in this war it brings a tear in my eye and breaks my heart. If our president hadn't taken the action to go to war, THESE HEROS WOULD STILL BE ALIVE. For me to document my reasons for being against the war at this time would make this letter much too long. The reasons I have taken this position will come in a future letter. God bless our troops and God bless America!!! Richard Lewis, New Jersey

I agree!! Im so tired of Hollywood liberals always pushing their agenda. My husband served in the Air Force for 22 years. Im especially sensitive to how all of this Hollywood jargon affects military families who sit at home and wait for news, glued to the TV sets. How do they feel when Cher, Danny Glover, Mike Farrell, Martin Sheen and Susan (it makes my mouth twitch) Sarandon and Casey Kasem of all people, start standing on their soap boxes? Most enlisted families don't make much money. No one ever joined the military for the pay. They joined because they wanted to serve their country. To me that is a higher calling. These overpaid and over catered to entertainment "spoiled brats" have met their match and its US! Its hard to see liberal stars , who quite frankly don't seem to be very intelligent or politcally savvy, scorn our country, our President and our Military. Yes the French are no friends of ours, but even worse we have these Hollywood tv, movie and music types who just cannot grasp realilty. All of this anti-war and anti-American rhetoric is getting pretty old. I don't watch network TV anymore, (except for FOX NEWS of course) and even my teenagers stopped buying music CD's Sean Penn was actually here in Memphis a while back and almost got run out of town! Our talk radio guru, Mike Fleming, had a field day. Tell everyone to stay positive, we will win! When all of this settles down a lot of folks in Hollywood are going to be wondering what hit them? You gotta love it! Freedom of the pocketbook! Aim High and fly safe! Donna Scearce, Memphis, TN

The "stars" live in their own little world, but they can still say whatever they like. Itís actually the non-stars comments and protests that bother me more. I think anyone who wants to protest can just be sprayed with Nerve Agent now instead of waiting for some young Arab man to do it. We can stop killing Iraqis now and open the door to numerous attacks on people sitting in their cubicles or walking down the street or we can continue to protect what we have. Is it going to be a "one time thing" for the accidental killing of civilian Iraqis or the "ongoing" purposely killing of civilians here in the USA? The choice is clear, do the world a favor and get rid of the sand fleas!!! As I preach to my wife daily "Religion as a whole has done more damage to this world than good. This war (and many other wars) would have never been fought if it were not for the ancient folk tales religion teaches (and the morons who interpret religion as fact.)" Religious stories were meant to teach a lesson, not be taken literally. It sickens me to know humans aren't smart enough to expel religion as fact. Have faith in yourself, not a false idol; you donít get something done by praying for it. Maybe, if this was realized earlier in human history, we could all get along as a whole instead of fighting as separatists. Just my rant, you donít have to agree, but if you donít, I will have little respect for your intelligence....hehe!!

You have put in writing my own thoughts and words..... how wonderful that you took the time to set up a website. My hope is that my fellow Americans will read this and follow your suggestions to the point that the damage to Hollywood pocketbooks will cause a rude awakening for these people who have put themselves forward as the spokespersons for the American people. None of us wanted to go to war -- the horror of it for all the people and all the countries involved is almost unbearable. But the alternative, waiting for the next attack here, is even more unbearable. Bless you and your family and all the familites of servicemen and women in this country.... and God bless all those young men and women, the cream of our country's youth, who are putting their lives on the line to preserve the freedom Hollywood enjoys -- the freedom to spit in their faces.

Thanks for your E-mail message. There was a similar one a few days ago to which I also added my comments to. I said something like this: Thanks for your idea...that won't be a problem for me re NOT attending movies. I very rarely go anyway, but I believe the boycott should be for at least a year to truly convey the message & make a lasting impact. I always seem to find more productive activities to occupy my time & more often than not, help other people at the same time, rather than sit like a spong & support the garbage Hollywood calls entertainment. It has been over 4 years since I've attended a movie. The last ones I've attended were Apollo 13, Hunt for Red October, Dancing With Wolves, & another one with Kevin Costner (~4 years ago). My personal boycott has been based on what they have said accumulatively over the years, placing themselves as an "authority" on many issues they have NO experience in or education which supports their statements. Their life style's for the most part are off the norm & repulsive. NOT an example for logical well rounded people with common sense. Of course there are exceptions & I personally am good friends with four such wonderful normal people who also act/entertain for a living, but the rest of the entertainment industry has a loooooong way to go. So as you can tell, I'll just continue to support your boycott of Hollywood movies long after most others start going back....GML

My only son is 20 years old and serving in the 101st Airborne in Iraq. I am so proud of the man that he has become. He joined because he believed in his country and his fellow Americans. I haven't spoken with him since 03-02-03, but I have recieved one letter. He sounded very positive and has faith in his leaders and fellow soldiers. Before he left he had dreams of becoming a film producer, I wonder how he would feel now? Thank you so much for letting me vent some of my frustrations on this forum. A Army soldiers Mom. You hit it right on the head about the "hollywood bunch". I'm planning on doing my own boycott by not attending any movies for quite some time. I'm sick and tired of hearing actors and actresses express their disapproval of the Iraq war over prime time TV. What about me? I certainly won't ever get the TV networks to give me any air time to express my support for the troops, now will I? I support the President and our troops 100% and my prayers are with all families who have loved ones in the military doing their jobs. This is how we keep our nation strong! Pam S. of California

BRAVO!! I am a 69 year old citizen who remembers clearly WWII and of how Hollywood was deeply involved in support for the war. What happened, Hollywood? Do you honestly believe anybody with an ounce of intellegence or loyalty listens to your rantings? My boycott of the movie industry began in 1962 and has gone uninterrupted since that time. I spotted the trend toward degradation and turned my back to Hollywood and its disciples of lasciviousness forever. I applaud your arriving, join you, and hope your boycott is not "for awhile", but forever. Ted DeFord, Knoxville, TN.

I have my chest and flag out. I (as well as others) hate war. But in this case we had no choice. We must keep the peace, in the mist of war. But if we didn't have the armed services as they were, we would have a Saddam and we would be the ones being bombed. I think the protesters are cowards, a slap to our armed services and to our country. If the want to protest do it in front of Saddam, then (of cource) they would be shot, gased, or just go hungry somewhere in the middle of the desert.

I take exception to the fact that he (the fat stupid man) was bashing my Prsident to millions of people, when I speak only my husband heard me. Is that fair? There has to be a legal way to stop this. I agree that we still in a nation with freedom of speech but that does not give people who think they are so important in our world dictate to us or our childre, grandchildrn or other adults how we should think. I support our President: President Bush. He was right when he said that Saddam had had twelve years to change his ways and he has made no effort to do so. We do not go over there and tell them that if they do not believe in Jesus Christ that they are going straight to hell even though that is exactly what the Good Book says. Saddam as well as his countrymen have been presented the truth and they have refused to accept the truth. If these Hollywood types think that sitting on their fat duffs and stnding up for Saddam would matter to him if he came over here and attacked us again then they deserve to blown away. But let them all migrate to Iraq before that happens. See if they have freedom of speech there. The Dixie Chicks deserve to be the first ones sent there. If anyone in Texas should be ashamed of any thing it is NOT PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH. It should be first and foremost be those like the Dixie Chicks who so blythly says such hyprocital things. In face of there display of disrespect I would never buy nor go see them any where, EVEN if I had been a fan of there's, WHICH I am not nor ever will be.

I'm afraid We've all missed the point. The Hollywood elite feel free to do and say what ever they want because we allow it. They have the right to speak their mind, but we don't have the right (according to them) object, and use our cash the way we want. We the people have kicked God out of our lives and raised these unthinking over feeling snobs into his place. We, not they, act as if they are better than we are. The Biggest Problem in America today is not the Hollywood Idiots we worship, its the college professors that control the minds or our children and teach them that God and America are the only two evils in the modern world.

I have been through all the wars starting with WW2. Its not that I like to see my husband or anyone go thru this, but what I dislike more is the so called entertainers speaking out against something they know so little about. Its about time they got off their duff & went to entertain our troops, give them some moral support instead of being another Jane who spoke against us. If these entertainers don't like whats happening, they have every right to move to another country, it is their American right to move, I firmly suggest they do. I will not attend any movies until this war is over. I did not watch the awards show because I did not want to hear their comments & it sounds like I did the right thing. The entertainers have a right to their position, but first they are Americans, & need to keep their thought to themselves because I do not wish to hear their thoughts. What do they know, not much, & most would not be there if it wasn't for the money. Quit play acting & learn to be a good American. I've have family & friends in every war, how about it entertainers, lets have a little respect for our fighting men, say a little prayer for them, so they can come home & come home victors.

And those who promote pornography and foul language and violence should be boycotted........... etc. HOWEVER; I have heard some movie stars congratulate our President, pray for our country, and praise our country's efforts to help other countries share in the freedoms we have long enjoyed......... THOSE MOVIE STARS SHOULD NOT BE BOYCOTTED........ THEY SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED.... At least they are using their publicity to promote what is right.......... I agree with the spirit of these comments, and I support our troops and the Bush administration with all my heart in the effort to depose Saddam Hussein. I object to the condemning language of many of those who commented on these pages, telling anyone who doesn't agree with you to leave the U.S. That is why most of us are here...having been ostracized by societies that would not allow us to freely express our opinions. Our forefathers DIED that we might have this freedom. Anyone is free to hold and to express any opinion...and that's all it is--an opinion. I applaud your committment to boycott movies, for that is a freedom, too. It is an eloquent expression of your dissatisfaction with the opinions you disagree with, and it hurts them "WHERE THEY LIVE"...in the pocketbook. Just do your homework and find out WHICH entertainers have spoken out against the war, and don't boycott every entertainer, regardless of which stance they take. That would be unfair. I urge each one of you to pray daily and diligently for the safety of our men and women in uniform, as well as our allies who are fighting in Iraq. Pray for the President of the U.S. and for the leaders of the nations involved in this war, that they might be led by God to a final and lasting peace in the Middle East. Amen. R.Tseng, Bonita, CA

These "movie stars" are just plain Anti-American. In fact, you check out who is running their peace demonstrations, and you'll find they are communists, who do not approve of the democracy of America. My husband and I won't be going to any movie in the near future. Actually, we decided a long time ago that most movies are a waste of time. Most have a liberal agenda, and truth is lost in most movies. No one demonstrated against war when Clinton was in office. Seems like we have a bunch of sore losers, who like their freedom of speech, but can't tolerate when conservatives have their freedom of speech. As for me, I'm so thankful we have a president that we can respect and believe in. I pray everyday for his protection and wisdom. I pray for the heros in our military who have their lives on the line for a good and just cause. May God bring them back safely.

The writer of this commentary has missed the following important points: 1- Not supporting the Administratation does not mean we don't support the young men and woman out there with their lives on the line. We do and I for one want to see them all come home safely. 2- wether you like it or not, people use their positions and popularity to make a point. Celebraties have a right to express their opinions and to try to effect change. The writer either doesn't know or want to know how many celebraties have donated their time, money and careers to make life better for others. 3- being against the war is not being against America. Anyone who enjoys opularity has a right to try to influence others. How many careers have been destroyed because celebraties had the courage to speak out?/ 4- Every time a celabraty speaks out against what they feel is wrong, some person or group wavs a flag in their face and says something like "America, love it or leave it" 5- This writer doesn't realize it but when they try to silence anyone one, celebraty or just the guy in the street, it flies in the face of everything American stands for. 4- Does the writer feel the same way about John Wayne? I doubt it. 5- If you were to measure all the good people of popularity have done for the needy of the world he/she might understand how much suffering they have alleviated.

I am a veteran of the Viet Nam conflict (didn't even get to call it a war) and have a 40% disability from my service time. I gave to my country so that others would be free to do as they please. I was a military brat! My father was in the Air Force for 22 years. I always thought that I put in my entire life on military bases and then I enlisted so I should have been able to retire after my 4 years were up. Military did not see it in the same way as I. Unfortunately, I believe that "what they please" goes further than it should. I fought for their freedom to speak their mind and I still believe that they have that right, but we also have the right to stop buying their products, going to see their movies, etc. I would hope that hitting them in their pocket books would cause them a bit of pain - but never the same amount that they have caused our fighting men and women who were unfortunate enough to hear and see the things before shipping out. I have not purchased any taped movie, gone to any theatre or watched any T.V. show that has Hanoi Jane Fonda in it. I'll watch anything her daddy or brother did, but not her. Even Golden Pond was out for me since she was in it, I must ask everyone to PLEASE not take this out on all of the movie stars and other entertainers. There are many who support the war and the troops. Toby Keith and James Wood are 2 right off the top of my head. Focus your energy on those that belittle our great country and our great men and women of the United States Armed Forces and any allied troops that fight with us or just stand by our side. We don't need anything French or German or Canadian for that matter and I don't need to watch any movies with those actors in them. If we are going to accomplish anything of any size and power we MUST all stand together and call for a boycott of all of the things we find offensive to us as supporters of President Bush and OUR troops. Boycott movies, don't purchase tapes or DVD's that have those actors or actresses in them, don't purchase music that is done by any person or group that we consider to be against the betterment of our country and that of the people of Iraqi. Never another DVD from the Dixie Chickens shall touch my hands and I'll change radio stations should I hear one of their songs. Most of all, be honest with youself about your feelings and your convictions regarding these things. If you are only going to boycott something for the next week or two then you probably should not bother because it won't accomplish anything. I'm not talking about going to rallies in support of our troops. No one can do that every day, but if you stop buying their DVD's this week and then in a month or two when they are the star of some movie you really wanted to see so you buy the DVD - what have you accomplished?? I'll chip in to help send Martin Sheen and the others to some other country - preferably France or Germany because they deserve each other. I apologise for writing so much but I have this huge ball of contempt in my stomach and I'm legally prevented from venting that contempt on the parties that deserve it soooo much. Tonight was the night that our servicemen and women went in and rescued PFC Lynch from her Iraqi captors. All of my prayers are with that young troop tonight because I feel that she is going to have many gruesom tales to tell about what has happened to her and what has happened to the others that were listed as missing. The rescue force that carried out the mission brought out what they believe was between 9 and 11 other troops that were not as lucky as PFC Lynch. I fear that those bodies were the rest of her comrads that had gotten turned around and then been confronted by the enemy. My theory is this. Iraq will not allow the red cross to meet and speak with our POW's. The reason for this is the stories they will have to tell about the executions of their fellow soldiers. Iraq is afraid of the resolve that this information would give to our troops - and they damn well better be afraid of that. Right now we are fighting as decent human beings. If we confirm that our troops were executed there will be hell to pay for enemy POW's if they fail to do exactly what they are told. I'm not saying that we would do anything wrong, I'm just saying that we will have a whole bunch of very pissed off troops fighting in Iraq. Thanks for listening. Keep up the fight and don't give any aid and comfort to our enemy, the Americans who turned against their own. Ken Columbia, Missouri

I cant agree with you more. We seem to forget that these people are just people playing roles for a living. I boycoted the Academy Awards and any channel on TV that ran anythang about them. Lets remember that many of these people cannot manage their own lives with out drugs. Few days go by without one of these role models like Shawn Penn, showing up on the news going into drug rehab treatment or getting stoped for a DUI. Some of these self indulgent pretenders have fooled themselves into believing they are saying something we want to hear. Their lives are so starved for attention they have forgotten about reality or maybe they have never know it. Play acting to much. Anti-war? I dont think so. It's more an oppitional defiant disorder out of control. These are people so self centered and obsession with their own importance that they think that everyone cares about their oppinions. Suprise, I can get along very well without going to one of their movies and will do so through the spring and summer. Who knows, maybe by that time, I will learn I dont need them to intertain me and stop going altogether. More like me? I think so! Want see you in the movies!

I agree with you 100%. My family and I will also boycott the movies. I am sorry to say that I watched the oscars. I was appalled. But, I kept watching to see if any one would have the courage to take a stand and show support for our President and our troops. Even though some expressed support for our troops they did not show support for our President. I believe that if you do not support our President, you do not support the troops. I refuse to watch the oscars again and will not support their movies. Thank you for this site. Please see that it makes it to Hollywood. GOD BLESS THE USA, PRESIDENT BUSH AND OUR ARMED FORCES EVERYWHERE!!

Thank you for this page. I am in full agreement. I have a son in the Airforce. He has just come back from the Middle east and next few months is on call for Iraq and if not there he will be in s. Korea. I don't appreciate the things being said about our President. He is the best one we have had in years. I can't imagine where this Country would be without his leadership. I am sick of someone saying I support the troops but Bush is and then they say horrible things about him. I am tired of anyone who is anti-american at this point. Let them have a child, husband, daughter in the service. They would see things alot different. What have the people done to contribute to our Country, nothing in my book. I am already boycotting the movies and entertainment industry, also cnn and other left wing stations. I am proud of my Son and my nephew who serve and want to free the people of Iraq. They are well informed, at least they know where Iraq is. I think some of these people don't even know where it is, you might have to draw them a map. Lord help our Country at this time. I am in this for the duration. My flag is out and has been since Sept. llth. Others have taken thiers down, ours will remain flying till our Son is home safe and the other troops as well. Thank you for standing up and staying what is needed to be said. God Bless you. Peggy Johnson mother of son in the Airforce.

hi, i'm from a military family, retired, and i have been places like vietnam, tell you what, i like home, the good old USA. What supprises me, is that our country, the USA, one of the youngest countries in this world, which has come farther in 200 years,in which i do believe, the saying is give me your tied, give your poor, almost every country in the world sent us their unwanted and low and behold look how we have turned out. First mind you in the humanity of all people, sure we have had our problems. Because of our strong freedom of speach, other countries have had the strength to speak out against the inhuman ways other govenments have treated their people. About the stars in hollywood, I believe they should have their right to speak, that way I know how many people have a false sense of what is really going on and is still willing to ignore that in this day and age we have moved into another NEW century with our own HITLER. THe USA had to 1. stop turning our backs on the HITLERS of this world 2.how long will this was be, well lets start by saying it will be shorter that the vietnam war and maybe it will be as long as 12 years that we have ignored this situation (which it will not be that long). Have not been to any movies for quite awhile, most actors are over paid and over rated. Thanks for starting this website.

I agree with your comments. I pray for all our servicemen and women and for our President. The Hollywood anti-war, anti-American actors, producers, directors, etc do a great disservice to our troops and our country. They essentially are aiding the enemy -- like Peter Arnett has done. Someone wrote that we should not lump all Hollywood actors in with this movie boycott. I agree that if the actor has spoken out in support of our President and our country and our troops, then that actor should not be boycotted. The sad fact is that very few have spoken up to side with the 70 plus percent of Americans who are with our President and supporting our troops; and the actors who are speaking out against the war NEVER say they are against Saddam Hussein. They only seem to be against our President and our leaders. And -- don't forget about Oprah Winfrey and her negative statements of our President. I am grateful we have leaders and servicemen and servicewomen who put themselves on the line for our freedom and security against the vileness of Saddam and his regime. God Bless our troops and our President and leaders. Pam in Virginia

One of my favorite movies is "Platoon", a very intense story about the horrors of the War in Viet Nam (which I agree was a big mistake) in which Charlie Sheen was the major star. I am sure he made millions of dollars rom that role . Now we have his father, Martin Sheen, who doesn't even have the guts or the pride to use his own name in his so-called professional life (Estevez , an Hispanic name which I am sure, he chose to change because he thought people in this country would not be attracted to movies in which a person with an Hispanic name was the star) bad-mouthing the current American effort to make the world a better place to live in, not just for Americans but for the citzenry of the world. What an ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING INDIVIDUAL HE IS ! I WOULD NOT ACCEPT A MILLION DOLLARS TO GO AND SEE ONE OF HIS MOVIES OR TV SHOWS! WHAT SCUM HE IS>! , Ronald W Stewart ( my real name)

I bet if they knew they would be very disappointed with the people who have voiced their opinions against our country, president, and what they are doing over there. Seem like they may be a bunch of cowards. I am not for war but when our people are there we are America and we need to pull together as all Americans should, and not fight against one another. We have moved when Uncle Sam told us to and disrupted our lives the same amount of times to help support the nation that WE ALL so freely live in. I agree whole heartedly about the movie industries pompous self indulgent life styles while the men who are protect their pompous asses are living many times on salaries lower than what welfare recipients make. Another point that I will put for your thoughts- the same men and women who are speaking out and condemning our soldiers are the same ones who have at one time or anther made more money than my husband has made in his entire career by playing a military part or two for Hollywood. Yes boycott Hollywood

They need to hear from the people of America who support their lifestyles by watching and buying their films. If they can't respect and honor our military we don't have to enrich them with our hard earned money!!! They need an attitude adjustment! The folks defending our freedoms need our respect and support. God Bless them ALL. There's no need to march against them during war time.

Well-written thoughts, quite provoking, and real. It's about time we, the people of our United States of America, stand up for what we believe. Freedom of speech is truly a blessing, and thank God for the ability to think and to disagree in an agreeable manner. Let the so-called hollywood stars do with out the green paper they so dearly love and throw up into our faces as their riches. Some of us are well educated, have worked hard all our lives only to become ill and lose everything we ever worked for. (Crap hapens!) I sometimes wish that I could, for just a day, receive the amount of money the so-called stars receive for their so-called beauty. I could pay my $40,000 in student loans I owe and have no way of repaying to earn a Master's Degree from Purdue University at an age when some people are retiring. I could also help my abused daughter who is trying so hard to turn her life around after narrow escapes from physical death and hideous anguish from mental hurts cast upon her by a control freak. I could assure my two small grandchildren, I am helping to raise, of the right to a home large enough to allow them their own bedrooms and they wouldn't have to sleep on the couch. In addition, I could assure needed therapy to the abused children of Northwest Indiana. I could do so much for the betterment of mankind. How I wish! and pray! And with determination, and a genuine love and smile, I continue striving for betterment of all with whom I come into contact.

I am sick to death of people trying to make this war out as something it is not. It is not about oil, it is about a madman who kills his own people and anyone else that annoys him. A man who will cut the tongue out of a person who speaks against him. The only way to handle a bully is to kick his ass. If you try to handle a bully through peaceful means, they just take it as weakness and continue to bully. Seems as though everyone has forgotten what it was like when we were attacked on our own soil Sept. 11th. If we don't strike back at terrorists, wherever we find them, we will get to see that happen again. Only next time it may be Los Angeles, or Chicago, or our own back yard. These actors/actresses shooting their mouths off do enjoy freedom of speech, but for some reason, ignore the responsibility that goes with it. We all have freedom of speech, but there are limits that responsible people respect. Slander for instance. The person who slanders has the same freedom of speech that everyone else has, but chooses to ignore the responsibility that goes with that freedom. It has become "the thing" for all of these actors to end all their disheartening comments by saying they "support our troops". Believe me, our troops are not buying it. And they have it hard enough, trying to liberate Iraq and trying to protect our freedom, without having to listen to their phony rhetoric. The time for protesting was before the war. Once the war has begun, it is time to shut up and stop giving the enemy propaganda to use against our troops. There is a price to freedom, and I don't seen one actor putting their life on the line to protect it. If they love this country they need to quit aiding and abetting the enemy. And if they don't love it....they need to find one they do.

I will support you. I will not go to movies or purchase music from artists who speak against our president and troops. Why do the Doves end up making all the comotion, trouble, and street violence, while the Hawks never cause chaos if they feel there should be a war when there is a decision not to do so? We all have wondered from time to time why we have not stood up to an enemy, discussed it, but rarely, if ever, do you see us in the streets with our eyes popping out of our heads with RAGE, and uncontrollable tempers like you do with the "PEACE MARCHERS." That always makes me wonder and amazes me. And by the way, is Barbara Striesand still living in the USA? I heard her promise that she would leave the country if Bush got in. Gee, I guess she is not a woman of her word. Too bad! The day before yesterday I saw photos on the news of three good looking young men who lost their lives from my area in Iraq. One was one better looking than the other. And I heard the reporter say that their families were being offered counciling and support to help them with their loss. I cried, and I said, nothing will help them with their loss. There is no cure for pure heartbreak. And I said to myself "what have I done to deserve you sacrificing yourself to ensure the peace and safety of me and my three sweet children and husband?" And it felt like they were my own son that I lost and I cried and grieved, because I felt I was undeserving. And I thought all I can do to repay the universe for such a great gift was to go out and be as kind as I can to each and every person in this world starting with my own family. (sometimes that's the tuffest) In their honor, dying for freedom and goodness, I feel we all should put back some goodness into the universe, and the way to start is to be kinder to one another. It is also what they died for, goodness to prevail. No one likes war, and yes, we try to avoid it, but sometimes you have to clean house of evil. If you are of the Jewish or Christian persuasion didn't your God use a little violence to clean house a few times? What was up with that flood? And how about (the mis-spelt towns of) Sodom and Gammorah? Didn't anyone hear of "an eye for an eye?" Didn't your God Yahweh provide protection to certain tribes that went into war in his name to fight evil? So I do not understand why it is wrong to do what the God of a large majority of our population did to set example? Are we now critiquing his ways and indicating they aren't politically correct? Seems to me if it's good enough for your Creator, it should be good enough for you, especially if you are not abusing it to your own advantage! Sadaam must go, the beautiful people of Iraq must be set free, fed, helped, and shown some love. If they find what is in the 70% of those American hearts wanting them to have a better life, I don't think they will hate us when the dust settles. Love to each and every soldier out there. I respect and love you all. I would kiss your boots in gratitude if I could. And I pray of safety for all Soldiers, and for the people and soldiers of Iraq who do not support Sadaam in their hearts, but cannot express that freely without consequences!

Lets send a message to those oppposing the war. Stop patronizing their films and records. Lets refresh their memories, Sept. 11th can happen again. We need to stop the threat. We need to stop the fear of sabotage in our country and the only way is to go to the source. Lets also continue with the awareness that the USA must be on alert at all times. I'll repeat another mans words- "I see neither bravery nor sacrifice in destroying life or property for offence or defence" That goes for the property of the Iraqi and the right to perform and become a star for our American People. Far Out---The House of Representatives have recently voted on the 2004 budget which will cut funding for veteran's health care and benefit programs by nearly $25 billion over the next ten years. May God forgive us mindless sheep. Love is the message of the new testament... the mistakes of war were from the old testament... Jesus taught LOVE and PEACE. Before him many wars were fought... Jesus' message was clearly taught to change that. We still have not learned. Appears to me not many of you see what history in the Bible is trying to say. Reason, not force.

Thanks for your thoughts, they echo most of America and the new Hollywood should be Paris, I'm sure they'll be well received over there. I agree with you, but I also feel that they do have there rights(freeden of speech) to say what they want. There is a place and a time for that. It's funny the night the war started my 7 year old daughter ask my why we were fighting. I explained to her the way people were being treated especailly the women, and how they couldn't talk or have an opinion. She sat on the couch quietly watching the news then looked at me and asked "if we loose does that mean we have to stop talking?" As serious as could be I told her we don't have to worry about because we will WIN. I try to teach my children to have there own opinion even if it is not the same as everyone elses that is what freedom of speach is all about.I feel that that is what they are fighting for. You make an excellent point, and I am as proud of your son-in-law as you are. I do not agree with the basic Hollywood viewpoint, but also I do not wish to see America's best and bravest in a war to free the Iraqi people. I think too highly of our boys to agree to this war. As for movie stars, doesn't the U.S. Constitution give them, give all of us, the right to disagree? In your face Anti-war protestors make me very angry, but aren't they entitled to peacefully assemble and give whatever views they believe? I am sick to death of this attitude where if you aren't loving this war you must be Un-American. Many very loyal Americans can't see losing even one of our beloved soldiers in order to 'liberate' Iraq. Yes, I have always and will continue to support the members of our United States Military, the greatest force in the world. No, I will not stop going to the movies. That is so lame. I totally agree with Carole from Queensland, Australia.... and I am not Australian. Another thing that I will add, is that while those who are for the war are proud to be American, because of the freedom that America enjoys... the freedom of speach, the freedom to say and do as one will, the freedom to have your own opinion, and not be shot down for it.... or is that changing? It seems to me that the people who are proud to be American, because of the freedom they enjoy, are speaking out of both sides of their mouth. How can you be proud to be American because of the freedom you enjoy here, and then shoot down anyone that does not agree with your opinion?? This is surely being double minded. While I agree that those in the lime-light such as actors, musicians, etc, should not take advantage of their soapbox to view their opinion, I still think that they have just as much right as anyone else to voice their opinion... whether they be for or against the war. It seems to me that those who are for the war, are starting a war of their own... a war of hatred for those who do not have the same convictions as they do. It is time to stop this hatred, and this arrogance. Continue to be proud of your freedom that you enjoy so much.... and let others have their freedom, too, even if it may differ from you opinion. It is only fair. Cathy

Any one who spends all their time, effort, and money to destroy another nation needs to be gone. Why isn't it so obvious to everyone? These kind of people don't even take care of their own nations. They are only striving for the overpowering of all people and things. I am proud to be an American. Thank you to our military. Some of these loudmouth entertainers need to get in touch with reality. It has been wonderful to read all of the positive comments from the everyday Americans who are standing up for our troops and our President. It was not surprising to hear from those few whose views reflected their own small and narrow vision of what they "think" our country should represent and how we should "behave" in the rest of the world. I have to believe that the people in our government, which we elected(albeit not perfect), know a little bit more about what is going on in the Middle East, Africa, N. Korea, or anywhere else there continues to be these suppressive and merciless dictatorships, than you or I do. I feel privileged to live in a country that affords us the right to speak out against war, yet I choose to not to. I am also lucky to have the right to not support those who do choose to speak out against our leaders and who, I feel, have abused their status as entertainers. Let me repeat myself, they are ENTERTAINERS! Not to be confused with political leaders, law makers, govornment officials, and most certainly NOT the voice of the people of the United States of America. God Bless our President and pray for him everyday that God will give him the wisdom to make the best choices possible in these difficult times as his choices will affect us all. I too am in total agreement with you. I do not need someone in Hollywood telling me that our President is not doing his job right. My husband, who also served in ViewNam (2 tours) and Operation Desert Shield/Storm is once again in the Fray in Operation Free Iraqi (is that how it's spelled?) I am terribly proud of my husband and will support him in his decision to serve our country. There are no heroes in Hollywood, but they are all heroes who serve our country both here and throughout the world. If Hollywood does not like how the President is running our country, maybe they would like to immigrate to Iraq. We could even help them move and then let them share they asinine comments with Sadam Hussein and see what it gets them. I remember the war stories done during and after World War II. They were terriffic and very supportive of our troops. Hollywood then also supported our troops because they did the USO shows. Oh for the old Hollywood again. Maybe we could ship both hollywood and the news media to Iraq. They could entertain each other. Thank you very much and God Bless America and God Bless Our Troops and Our Christian President. It is disgraceful that entertainers think they should get involved in policitcs and try to influence others. Their disrespect for our President, country, and service men and women sicken me. I only wish there was a list of those who are being so vocal. I know of a few, but I am sure there are many others. J. Traywick

Thank you for giving me the chance to express my thoughts. I'm not in favor of violence in any shape or form but you're right. Dictador don't listen or care about the human needs or opinions. They only care about their power over the least of their brothers and sister. Human live has no meaning for them, the only it matters to them is themselves and their power. I support our president, our troops and our belief in peace for all humankind. Our Lord created us equal, nobody has the right to makes us unhappy and live a live a miserable life. I normally don't respond to JUNK mail I rececive, but I have to here. Your "mail" is an outrage!!! Boycott movies because some of Hollywood has a differing opinion than you do? ROFLMAO May I remind you that this is the land of the free, which entitles us to think as we wish. Thank God for that! I firmly believe your president (I don't claim him) is wrong to have started this war. Two wrongs do not make a right, ya know? He is now killing so many innocent people and for what? This will NOT stop terrorism and will only make matters worse. I do not believe men and women should be FORCED to fight a war and jeopardize/sacrifice their lives for this country, either. War is an OUTRAGE!!!!! We have enough troubles in the US as it is without adding to them. As a very avid movie enthusiast, your idea to boycott Hollywood is RIDICULOUS, needless to say. Get a grip!

I like your spunkiness for putting this together, but I would like to offer something to consider. An outright boycott of movies in general would hurt people that aren't involved in that portion of the industry. The man that supports his family managing that theater for example. Instead, I would recommend that that you boycott those movies that the freaks make. Like Richard Gere's "Chicago" movie, etc. There are good actors out there too, who love and admire our troops. Schwartzenegger, Heston, etc. People worth supporting if nothing else. If I may go with a military theme here, use smart bombs and be precise instead of broadcast bombing like in WWII and wipe out a whole population. Other than that, time spent with family etc is an awesome idea, and can only help this nation. Keep up the good work. G.Plante Alabama

Let's not just boycott movies, let's boycott anything Martin Sheen does. The reason that our troops are over in Iraq is because of mouths like his. Saddam had begun to comply to Blix's requests until the hollywood crowd encouraged everyone to sto start their anti-war protests. Then he thought that this country would not go to war because a few people were out carrying signs. As in Vietnam, it is the fascists who are encouraging this anti-war stuff. The Dixie Chics went down. Who else will go with them. Supporting our troops from Bethlehem.. P.S. Do not forget to pray for our troops over there. This is right on target. Hollywood seems to believe that it knows what is good for the American people and that they reflect what the American people really want. In fact, they are a high profile vocal minority. While 70% of the American people are supportive of the president and our troops, a truly representative cross-section of Hollywood would show 70% of Hollywood "stars" being equally supportive of our troops and our president. That these statistics do not hold true is, I believe, a product of the environment of the "stars". I suppose that their living and working in the illusionary world of make believe could, at some point, take a toll upon one's ability to discern between make believe and the real world. Out here in the real world there is no director to yell "cut" and put an immediate end to the make believe scene of death and distruction. Here, the death, distruction and continuing threats to our lives are real. Here, we can and will deal with them accordingly. As for the Hollywood "stars"....we have the ability to say "I don't like the cast in that movie and I choose not to spend my time or money seeing it." I have steadfastly refused to allow any movie which includes Jane Fonda in my home since her actions while she was in North Viet Nam. That list can become larger if necessary.

We need to support our troops and our country. The people who want to defiantly trash America & our troops at this time because of this war should go live in Iraq. Apparantly they have NOT done the research because Saddam is a madman. No he did not directly attack us on 9/11 but, anyone who thinks they are not connected is not thinking. And our we supposed to wait until he does attack us?? The equivelant of watching him torture his own people is standing by while someone molests a child or beats him. At that point would you say "oh, well, he's not that bad". Who protects Iraq's people? Saddam?? The same actors/actresses who flash "peace signs" at the camera are the same people who can't keep a marraige together for longer than a year. They want us to believe that the U.S.A. should stay out of conflict, get along and have "peace"? To all the Christians who think war is horrible: it is. However, do you really think that God wants us to stand by while and idol worshipping, cruel, satan filled maniac destroys his own country and spews crap to the rest of the world all the while creating and planning destruction of people and countries around him. Hello! I don't think so. Bush is not perfect, this war is not perfect. But, something had to be done by somebody and guess what - the U.S.A. is the only country with enough guts to stand up and say "I'll do it". Too bad they didn't reinstate the draft. They could of had different qualifications this time though. They could of drafted all the yellow bellied peace loving, U.S.A hating people who think they are so wonderful and gave them a taste of reality!

PRAISE THE LORD!!! SOMEONE ELSE FEELS THE SAME WAY I DO!!! THANK YOU!!! I will pray for your loved one(s) that are fighting for us as I do each and every one that is over there every day, several times a day. Thank you for that wonder e-mail. I, too, do not like the fact that we are having to engage in war; but we do what we have to do in order to keep our freedom and help others obtain ours. My sister-in-law's son was a POW in the early l990's (he was returned to us safely even though a little worse from being beaten) so we know what it is like to have someone over there and wondering every minute whether he or she is all right. We, as Americans and Christians, will get through this as others before us have; with faith in our country, our president, his advisors, our allies, our men and women who are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to protect us and our wonderful country, and, most importantly of all to believe in our Lord. PLEASE DO BOYCOTT THE MOVIES AND LET THESE PEOPLE KNOW THAT THEY DO NOT SPEAK FOR ALL OF US AND THAT THEY ARE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD!!!! I have always believed that everyone in the limelight should always be on their best behavior as our children and young adults (as well as older adults) look up to them and believe and hang onto their every word. They have every right to express their beliefs, but, on the other hand, they should "look before they leap" so to speak. AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR E-MAIL!!! I am all in favor of this boycott. I am appalled and ashamed at the terror that is reigning INSIDE OUR BORDERS by these so-called "Americans" who think that just because they are movie stars, (or singers, like the Dixie Chicks) they have the right to say anything they want to. My mother told me, when I was growing up, if you didn't have anything nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all. I think this is a good motto for these movie stars to live by!! No one asked them for their opinions, no one asked them to like the fact that we are at war, but we do ask them to support our men and women that are fighting for the freedom that they enjoy every single day!! Without these very men and women who are in the middle of this war zone, these actors and actresses would not be able to live the high life that they live, would not be able to use their talents (if that is what you want to call them) to make movies and make the millions of dollars that they make. I give my prayers every day to President Bush, because he has a big job to do, and has done it to the best of his ability. I, for one, would not want to be in his shoes making these decisions . . but I am glad that he is!! I am also glad that he is a Christian and is seeking God's guidance in the decision making process. God Bless the USA, God Bless President Bush, God Bless all the men and women who are overseas at war for me and my family, and God Bless all the men and women who are here with their families, while their loved ones are overseas fighting this horrible terrorist who calls himself Saddam. Thank you for letting me speak my mind, and thank you for starting this email. May God Bless all that read this!!!

I completely support your idea, but would like to take it a step further. I suggest that we help support our troops by boycotting those actors and networks that stand at the forfront of the anti-Bush protests and lend slanted, bias coverage of the war. Martin Sheen has a hit series wherein he potrays the President of the United States. In several episodes he has sent soilders to fight. He makes money hand over fist (1 million per show)while publicly denouncing America. I would suggest a boycott of the "West Wing" if only for this season to send a powerful message. Additionally, we can simply choose not to watch new anchors (who are supposed to be impartial)yet make it know that they do not approve of the war and/or troops. I believe if we simply refuse to watch any program/show/broadcast that features any of the "entertainment community" that has spoken out publicly against our country we can teach them a lesson they will not soon forget. My bet is, when the ratings start dropping and they start losing money and career opportunites the will become mute on this subject.

Crusaders know that it is better to control people and nations with the scientific application of fear and lies rather than the more unpredictable and expensive methodology of bullets and bombs. So forty years ago, the CIAís, ďOperation Mockingbird,Ē went into full swing. The goal of the program was simply to control all mechanisms of opinion - the print news, the public opinion polls and the television news media. Their thinking was, if you control what people think, youíve won the war before it has even begun........................... And they have been frighteningly successful at achieving their goal - Since the 1950ís all major news and polling organizations have, to one degree or another, been absorbed into the sphere of control of the intelligence agencies. Now, the hard truth, which is simply too fantastic for most people to believe much less even comprehend in the first place is that the major news media is in actuality, mind controlling, opinion forming, population control mechanisms, and little else. Look how controlled we have become.

Giancarlo

I recently read the entire unabridged version of Patton's famous speech to the troops. Until then I was completely blind to the fact that the movie version had edited this speech for political correctness. I guess like a lot of others I took for granted that movies made about such important people and events actually adhered to historical fact. I must say that some of Patton's remarks were a bit brash and he did have a master in profound profanity but if you look at the era and of what faced his 3rd Army there was nothing in that speech that offended anyone at the time and should not offend anyone today, especially if you look at the end result. This made me look at the movie industry as I never had before. Previously I had agreed that some movies should not have been made just because they spoke of nothing but the proliferation of evil. Now that my eyes are open I see that not only does the movie industry glorify evil people and their deeds but they cannot even honestly portray historical events. If the movie industry lies about history and purports their evil to be acceptable how can anyone put any credence into what anyone in the industry espouses about any issue, especially War. The movie industry has made countless trillions of dollars from movies about WWW1, WW2, Vietnam, Korea and even Bosnia. I predict that after our Victory in Iraq all the people that are currently protesting the War in the name of peace will be making inaccurate movies about it in the name of money. The only way to prove these people irrelevant is the same method we used on the U.N, just ignore them, stop going to see their version of reality in the movies. If you take away the demand for their product their product will change or it will disappear completely. Matt Welch

I agree with you wholeheartely thses people need to know that this is not a script from a play or a movie or a sitcome this is real life and we are at risk of losing our freedom to do many things safely including going to the movies with out fear of some terrorist bombing that theater or meeting place or resturant or park or what ever. I am proud of our military people, our president and our leaders and I support them 100%. War should be a last resort but we have reached that last resort. I pray for our President, our leaders and most of all for the men and women defending our freedom and safety. I pray for the families of these people and the families of the ones who have given their lives for this war. I think we need to all be supportive of these people and let them know that they have our love and support and prayers. And the protests need to stop. They undermind what they are trying to accomplish and that is wrong. God Bless America. God Bless our Men and Women in Uniform. And please America don't ever forget September 11.

Christian Friends: Il served our country in two Wars. WWII and Vietnam. A total of 33 years active duty and reserve. Hollywood has beem the leader in the moral slide our country is is since the invention of the still picture and the very beginning of movies. Now such movie companies like CBS, NBC and the other movies and TV programs are dreging the very pits of hell to make the Ultimate nasty movie and doing a very good job of profaining GOD. I quite going to movie theaters shortly after I became a Christian. I very seldom go to a theater. I have always felt that Hollywood was setting the moral (imoral) tone of life in the United States. I am ashamed of some of the Pastors who do attend the movies for relaxation.

Good Stuff, As a Vietnam Vet I support not supporting those who don't support our country and the values we have. I have already cancelled my subscriptions to TV GUIDE and Movie channels. And then there are the liberals in this country who don't want to do anything. This is where most of the bashing is coming from. While objecting to controversy, these folks love to sit around and armchair causes that are idealistic. Why do they have this right??????? The reason they have this right is because our troops have given it to them. Past and Present. SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, or MOVE to another country. Become a member of the Iraqi government, there will have many cabinet positions available.

I think this is a teriffic idea. I definitely will support or not support the entertainment industry until this is over and our troops are back home where they belong. I hate the coverage they are getting. I for one think it is a disgrace. If the news media would ignore them lying in the street and blocking traffic they would soon get up and go home I almost feel like turnng the hose on them instead of showing their disgraceful acts on the news. I feel the same. I pray for our President, our Country, and most of all the brave men and women who are facing the terrible terrorists in Iraq and around the world. God bless America and our troops. We don't need the Hollywood crowd- we do need these fine young men and women that serve in our armed forces. Pat Benken, Cincinnati, Ohio

Romans 13:1-7 (NIV) 1."Everyone must submmit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which GOD has established. The authorities that exist have been established by GOD. 2.Consequently, he who rebels against the authority (LOOK OUT HOLLYWOOD< YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE)is rebelling against what GOD has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgement on THEMSELVES. 3. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7. Give everyone what you owe him; If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect;if honor, then HONOR! This say's it all. Proud to be American also. I agree with this woman in every aspect!! I also have two Family members in Iraq! I find it absolutely revolting to know that the same pathetic persons that have made millions of US dollars by starring in "war movies" are now showing contempt and complete disrespect for the men and women of our Armed Forces. The "Hollywood" attitude needs to change! Those actors that can not support the very people that make it possible for them to live in a country where they can be free to succeed and become wealthy should leave and return every single penny. They obviously do not have the integrity to serve in a "real war" and can only wallow in their own fictitous worlds and wealth GIVEN to them by the hard working people of America. I very much agree with you. I am tired of hearing Hollywood use their power and money to promote their opinions! We should be united as a country, especially when we are at war. Shame on them, and the Dixie Chicks! We should not but any of their musice either. I am proud to be an American, we are doing what is right, and what needs to be done. Nobody wants to go to war, but sometimes it can not be avoided. We need to stan behind our president, and our troops. They are both awesome! God Bless them all.

These Hollywood people are so wrapped up in themselves that they cannot see the big picture. Look at how many award shows they have patting themselves on the back. It amazes me that anywone would give any credence to anything that they say. Afterall, they spend most of their time pretending to be someone else. Martin Sheen raally thinks that he is president. Freedomless of speech. The only people who are enjoying freedom in the United States are the foreigners. We can't fly our flags; we can't do this or that because we might offend the foreigners. Communism is very much alive and thriving right here in the United States and we are just beginning to see the start of it. I was fired from my job with BIG OLE BANK OF AMERICA on September 26, 2001 for exercising what I thought was my right of freedom of speech. Shortly after September 11, 2001, I was outside on my lunch break having a conversation with an employee that I do not know. I said that I thought that all foreigners lving here in the United States who were not citizens should be deported and if we had American citizens living abroad who were not citizens of the countries in which they were living should be brought back to the United States. A girl that I have known from Germany since 1989 walked up on the conversation. She had married into the US military, has two kids, and has never been back to Germany since her arrival in the US. She had told me many months before that she didn't want to become a citizen of the US; she works two jobs that American citizens should be entitled to and even asked me where she had to register to vote. At the time she told me that she didn't want to become a citizen she went on to tell me that Germany had better appliances, better cars, better water; they don't have to use bleach to whiten their clothes. She was offended by my remark and went to her supervisor who in turn confronted my manager who fired me. The lies that the manager told were shocking. My immediate supervisor tried to tell my manager that the girl said she didn't want to become a US citizen. It didn't matter that I was offended when she told me that she doesn't want to become a citizen. This really sticks in my craw especially since I have pictures of bodies stacked on top of bodies in a cathedral in Germany. My husband was an MP stationed in Germany dring World War II. Many American men and women's lives were lost while fighting to try to free those people from Hitler. To add insult to injury I was denied unemployment compensation because they said that I violated a code of ethics. A lawyer did finally help me get my unemployment. My grandmother and grandfather came from Austria. They could not read, write nor speak the American language. Their children taught them what they needed to know to become citizens. They loved this country so much that they wanted to be citizens instead of residents. I ask you, the people, who has freedom in this country. I know the answer and so do you.

I definitely feel that we should do what has been suggested: BOYCOTT THE MOVIES! Yes, we all do have freedom of speech, but I certainly do not feel it is justified coming from occasions such as the Oscars! If we did just that, BOYCOTT THE MOVIES, yes, they would finally get the idea that it's not that we don't care what they think; it's how they do it that we do care about. I can really understand where this Mom is coming from and I support her views! God Bless America!

GOD BLESS YOU! I too have a daughter and son-in-law in the Navy, they are both navy corpsman. My daughter is still at Camp Lejuene in N.C. My Son-in-law Michael has been deployed to the gulf. He is currently working in a hospital.(a tent of course)I agree with you whole-heartedly. Let Hollywood know that they are wrong. I know that it is a select few that think they have the right to speak what ever they desire. But I don't think that they realize the negative impact that it has on our society as a whole. I think that they forgot the reason why they have the right to speak out. If it wasn't for our Armed Services that defend our freedoms and our beliefs in this country they wouldn't be allowed to do this. I have never been so proud of our Country and our men and women who serve in the Armed Forces of this wonderful country. May God Bless each of them and all the families who hope there loved one returns home safely. Rally behind our troops and lets show them (hollywood)just what we think. We can hit them where it hurts them the most. (the pocketbook) GOD BLESS OUR NATION. PRESIDENT BUSH , OUR TROOPS, OUR FAMILIES, AND ALL WHO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. THANK YOU, ONE PROUD MOM AND AMERICAN
