I survived the first attack on the Twin Towers. (Feb. 26, 1993) I was one of the first fifty people out of the bldg. Why didn't poppa Bush get SADDAM in 1991? Then I would not have to say, That I Survived the ATTACK on Feb. 26, 1993? Lets see if Bush junior has the chutzpa to finish the job. If he doesn't, his epitaph will be the same as his fathers. When your back is against the wall= LET GEORGE DO IT. Gen. George Patton, where are you when our country needs you? A proud American, and USAF Veteran.

I THINK WHAT IS BEING WROTE HERE IS GREAT AND I AGREE. I DON'T GO TO THE MOVIES ANYWAY AS THERE IS NOTHING WORTH GOING TO SEE. THE SO CALLED MOVIE ACTRESS AND ACTORS ARE NOT LIKE THE STARS OF THE PAST WHO WAS VERY PATRIOTIC LIKE THE STARS USE TO BE. THEY SHOULD BE OVER THERE FIGHTING INSTEAD HERE WITH ALL THEIR DISRESPECTFUL SPEECHES . AFTER 9/11 HOW CAN THEY BE SO UNPATRIOTIC OF THE PRESIDENT AND THE TROOPS OVER THERE FIGHTING.I HOPE ALOT OF PEOPLE READ THIS AND AGREE WITH IT AND TO BOYCOTT THE "ENTERTAINMENT COMMUNITY" AND ALL THEIR TALK. My son is with the 100st from Fort Campbell is serving overseas. I also have a son in the Navy that is headed there. I believe that every one has the right to speak there mind. But should we not support our TROOPS. They are giving there lives for all of us so we can have that right. We may not agree with the war but remember the lives that have been lost and will be lost for all of us. We as Americans have to stand together for our Troops. I only can hope and pray it will be over soon. To all of you that have loved ones over there, I will remember you in prayer each day. God Bless America . Beckie Davis

I agree with the sentiments exactly. If Martineque Sheen does not like the USA, he can go to France or Iraq. I personally think that the picture of him with his mouth taped is really quite appropriate. I am a veteran and I am ashamed with these people who are traitors to our country. Any person that agrees with them should all leave and get away from this terrible country. Maybe they can make a lot of money somewhere else. I for one will not watch anything on the TV station that carries these whiners. Thank you and I hope that the rest of the silent majority speaks out. I will never listen to the Idiot Chicks or buy any of their material. I think that they are cowards. Why did they have to go to a foreing country to say that about our President.

I doubt you're interested in my comments. I'm a veteran of WWII, overseas in the Phillipines. Like VietNam, this appears to be a contrived war to satisfy demands of certain people/organizations. At the expense of our soldiers. I fully support those who are unwittingly placed in positions of extreme danger, but believe the persons who should be there are Bush, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Rice & company. And perhaps the CEOs of major oil companies and a few of our defense contractors. It's a stupid, expensive war and is costing lives of our brave youngsters and will undoubtedly cost the lives of many, many more. To date there has been no indication that the Iraqis were hiding weapons of mass destruction. No major sites, not stockpiles of weapons have been found. Saddam is, I won't burden you with the obsceneties, is an obscenety. But is expunging him by war worth the lives? At one time we had a rather effective intelligence organization that was quite capable of exterminating vermin. What happened to that? Or, if it's still around, why isn't it doing the exterminating?

We should stand behind President Bush, he doesn't want this war any more than the rest of us, but it is the THING THAT HAS TO BE DONE AND DONE RIGHT THIS TIME. To those who oppose this war on Iraq, I add my suggestion they express their opposition to the families of those who died 9.11.03, to those who fought for your right to expression in WW11, in Korea, in Vietnam for those currently defending that right. You, along with our "stars" in Hollywood need to be ashamed to express these opinions while our men are fighting to defend your "rights". I personnaly spent 23 years in the military and do not think much of lack of patriotism towards your country during this time of crisis. So I add my comment. If you do not like this country, if you cannot support our troops, our president, our military leaders, PLEASE, leave. Join the enemy you are supporting. H Lawrence. MSG US Army Ret.

I am so glad you have spoken out against the Hollywood sector. We have many of our loved ones over fighting in the desert so that they can voice there sarcastic remarks in freedom. They don't have the wisdom, knowledge, or stamina to fight for the freedoms they are enjoying. My father fought in World War II to free all people from an evil dictator. And sometimes I feel that his efforts were in vain when I hear all the bashing and filth that comes from the Hollywood crowd. God help them when He comes to find them!!!!!!!!! Then it will truly be a time "to let the big times roll". They will be left with their candle wicks dark!! God bless our country and the citizens who pray continually for our freedoms to be won.

Thank you for your beautifully written letter. I haven't been to the movies in some time, but have boycotted certain musical performers who I always loved. I'm sure everyone at this point know's who I'm speaking of. Hate the War, hate the circumstances, but support our country and our people over there. Every protest seems to me to be a slam against our wonderful soldiers, young and old, male and female. If the entertainers want to speak out against the war, that's their right, but don't assume the rest of the country wants to hear it. I didn't watch the Oscars this year because I knew it was going to have nothing but these overblown, overpaid idiots spouting their anti-war, anti-Bush garbage. Bush isn't the president I wanted either, but I'll support his every move in this situation. Never in my life time did I assume I'd have to worry about war hitting our county, 9-11 made me rethink that assumption. As long as we have evil dictators like Saddam with weapons of mass distruction, Bush is doing what is right. How many millions of people does Saddam have to kill before our "entertainers" decide he needs to be done away with. How many of our "wonderfully, in the know" entertainers have seen the horrible poverty the people of Iraq live in while Saddam lives in a multitude of palaces. If they're so concerned that we're over there doing distruction, why don't they donate some of their "hard-earned millions" to help the people of Iraq. I'm sure that suggestion would be met with horror. If any of you haven't seen the Charlie Daniel's letter, you should make a point of trying to find it...it says what a good majority of the American public is feeling. For now, I'll be sending this to the people in my e-mail list and hopefully the "entertainers" will feel this where it counts the most, in their pocketbooks. I would like to say thank you for speaking your mind. Many of us feel the same way that you do, but then there are those that seem to think that peace comes so easy. As a wife of a Navy Seabee who is stationed in the Middle East it hurts to hear things that are said. The way I feel....If the draft was in affect and some of those Hollywood stars had to go fight for freedom and peace, I assure you they would not have the same feelings they do now. I however do not hate them nor do I hate the things they say, for that is what my husband and every other service member had fought for in the past and continues to fight for...Freedom of speech (among many other things). I just wish that people would think about things a little deeper before they speak. Thank you again, I will sure pass this along. God Bless Our Service Members and thier families. Rebecca

I appreciate your statments and am in total agreement. I believe prayer changes things and when President Bush admitted on live TV that he prays for wisdom and for God's will I believe him. It takes alot of God given courage to do what he has done. Whether Americans believe in this war or not, no one needs to get on national tv and slam our President or any other of our leaders. This is a time when we need to stand united. Our leaders need prayer not your insults. Be mature citizens and not cry babies because things aren't going your way. Subject: Who Really Has Brains You really need to read this one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Hollywood group is at it again. Holding anti-war rallies, screaming about the Bush Administration, running ads in major newspapers, defaming the President and his Cabinet every chance they get, to anyone and everyone who will listen. They publicly defile them and call them names like "stupid", "morons", and "idiots". Jessica Lange went so far as to tell a crowd in Spain that she hates President Bush and is embarrassed to be an American. So, just how ignorant are these people who are running the country? Let's look at the biographies of these "stupid", "ignorant", "moronic" leaders, and then at the celebrities who are castigating them: President George W. Bush: Received a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air National Guard. He began his career in the oil and gas business in Midland in 1975 and worked in the energy industry until 1986. He was elected Governor on November 8, 1994, with 53.5 percent of the vote. In a historic re-election victory, he became the first Texas Governor to be elected to consecutive four-year terms on November 3, 1998 winning 68.6 percent of the vote. In 1998 Governor Bush won 49 percent of the Hispanic vote, 27 percent of the African-American vote, 27 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of women. He won more Texas counties, 240 of 254, than any modern Republican other that Richard Nixon in 1972 and is the first Republican gubernatorial candidate to win the heavily Hispanic and Democratic border counties of El Paso, Cameron and Hidalgo. (Someone began circulating a false story about his I.Q. being lower than any other President. If you believed it, you might want to go to URBANLEGENDS.COM and see the truth.) Vice President Dick Cheney earned a B.A. in 1965 and a M.A. in 1966, both in political science. Two years later, he won an American Political Science Association congressional fellowship. One of Vice President Cheney's primary duties is to share with individuals, members of Congress and foreign leaders, President Bush's vision to strengthen our economy, secure our homeland and win the War on Terrorism. In his official role as President of the Senate, Vice President Cheney regularly goes to Capitol Hill to meet with Senators and members of the House of Representatives to work on the Administration's legislative goals. In his travels as Vice President, he has seen first hand the great demands the war on terrorism is placing on the men and women of our military, and he is proud of the tremendous job they are doing for the United States of America. Secretary of State Colin Powell was educated in the New York City public schools, graduating from the City College of New York (CCNY), where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in geology. He also participated in ROTC at CCNY and received a commission as an Army second lieutenant upon graduation in June 1958. His further academic achievements include a Master of Business Administration Degree from George Washington University. Secretary Powell is the recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards and decorations. Secretary Powell's civilian awards include two Presidential Medals of Freedom, the President's Citizens Medal, the Congressional Gold Medal, the Secretary of State Distinguished Service Medal, and the Secretary of Energy Distinguished Service Medal. Several schools and other institutions have been named in his honor and he holds honorary degrees from universities and colleges across the country. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld: attended Princeton University on Scholarship (AB, 1954) and served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as a Naval aviator; Congressional Assistant to Rep. Robert Griffin (R-MI), 1957-59; U.S. Representative, Illinois, 1962-69; Assistant to the President, Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity, Director of the Cost of Living Council, 1969-74; U.S. Ambassador to NATO, 1973-74; head of Presidential Transition Team, 1974; Assistant to the President, Director of White House Office of Operations, White House Chief of Staff, 1974-77; Secretary of Defense, 1975-77 Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge - just pretend he sin't in this idiotic position - was raised in a working class family in veterans' public housing in Erie. He earned a scholarship to Harvard, graduating with honors in 1967. After his first year at The Dickinson School of Law, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as an infantry staff sergeant in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star for Valor. After returning to Pennsylvania, he earned his Law Degree and was in private practice before becoming Assistant District Attorney in Erie County. He was elected to Congress in 1982. He was the first enlisted Vietnam combat veteran elected to the U.S. House, and was overwhelmingly re-elected six times. National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Denver in 1974; her Master's from the University of Notre Dame in 1975; and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver in 1981. She resides in Washington, D.C. So who are these celebrities? What is their education? What is their experience in affairs of State or in National Security? While I will defend to the death their right to express their opinions, I think that if they are going to call into question the intelligence of our leaders, we should also have all the facts on their educations and background: Barbara Streisand : Completed high school Career: Singing and acting Cher: Dropped out of school in 9th grade. Career: Singing and acting Martin Sheen Flunked exam to enter University of Dayton. Career: Acting Jessica Lange Dropped out college mid-freshman year. Career: Acting Alec Baldwin Dropped out of George Washington U. after scandal. Career: Acting Julia Roberts Completed high school. Career: Acting Sean Penn Completed High school. Career: Acting Susan Sarandon Degree in Drama from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Career: Acting Ed Asner Completed High school. Career: Acting George Clooney Dropped out of University of Kentucky. Career: Acting Michael Moore Dropped out first year University of Michigan. Career: Movie Director Sarah Jessica Parker: Completed High School. Career: Acting Jennifer Anniston: Completed High School. Career: Acting Mike Farrell Completed High school. Career: Acting Janeane Garofelo Dropped out of College. Career: Stand up comedienne Larry Hagman Attended Bard College for one year. Career: Acting While comparing the education and experience of these two groups, we should also remember that President Bush and his cabinet are briefed daily, even hourly, on the War on Terror and threats to our security. They are privy to information gathered around the world concerning the Middle East, the threats to America, the intentions of terrorists and terrorist-supporting governments. They are in constant communication with the CIA, the FBI, Interpol, NATO, The United Nations, our own military, and that of our allies around the world. We cannot simply believe that we have full knowledge of the threats because we watch CNN!! We cannot believe that we are in any way as informed as our leaders. These celebrities have no intelligence-gathering agents, no fact-finding groups, no insight into the minds of those who would destroy our country. They only have a deep seated hatred for all things Republican. By nature, and no one knows quite why, the Hollywood elitists detest Conservative views and anything that supports or uplifts the United States of America. The silence was deafening from the Left when Bill Clinton bombed a pharmaceutical factory outside of Khartoum, or when he attacked the Bosnian Serbs in 1995 and 1999. He bombed Serbia itself to get Slobodan Milosevic out of Kosovo, and not a single peace rally was held. When our Rangers were ambushed in Somalia and 18 young American lives were lost, not a peep was heard from Hollywood. Yet now, after our nation has been attacked on its own soil, after 3,000 Americans were killed by freedom-hating terrorists while going about their routine lives, they want to hold rallies against the war. Why the change? Because an honest, God- fearing Republican sits in the White House. Another irony is that in 1987, when Ronald Reagan was in office, the Hollywood group aligned themselves with disarmament groups like SANE, FREEZE and PEACE ACTION, urging our own government to disarm and freeze the manufacturing of any further nuclear weapons, in order to promote world peace. It is curious that now, even after we have heard all the evidence that Saddam Hussein has chemical, biological and is very close to obtaining nuclear weapons, their is no cry from this group for HIM to disarm. They believe we should leave him alone in his quest for these weapons of mass destruction, even though it is certain that these deadly weapons will eventually be used against us in our own cities. So why the hype out of Hollywood? Could these celebrities believe that since they draw such astronomical salaries, they are entitled to also determine the course of our Nation? That they can make viable decisions concerning war and peace? Did Michael Moore have the backing of the Nation when he recently thanked France, on our behalf, for being a "good enough friend to tell us we were wrong"? I know for certain he was not speaking for me. Does Sean Penn fancy himself a Diplomat, in going to Iraq when we are just weeks away from war? Does he believe that his High School Diploma gives him the knowledge (and the right) to go to a country that is controlled by a maniacal dictator, and speak on behalf of the American people? Or is it the fact that he pulls in more money per year than the average American worker will see in a lifetime? Does his bank account give him clout? The ultimate irony is that many of these celebrities have made a shambles of their own lives, with drug abuse, alcoholism, numerous marriages and divorces, scrapes with the law, publicized temper tantrums, etc. How dare they pretend to know what is best for an entire nation! What is even more bizarre is how many people in this country will listen and accept their views, simply because they liked them in a certain movie, or have fond memories of an old television sitcom! It is time for us, as citizens of the United States, to educate ourselves about the world around us. If future generations are going to enjoy the freedoms that our forefathers bequeathed us, if they are ever to know peace in their own country and their world, to live without fear of terrorism striking in their own cities, we must assure that this nation remains strong. We must make certain that those who would destroy us are made aware of the severe consequences that will befall them. Yes, it is a wonderful dream to sit down with dictators and terrorists and join hands, singing 'Cumbaya' and talking of world peace. But it is not real. We did not stop Adolf Hitler from taking over the entire continent of Europe by simply talking to him. We sent our best and brightest, with the strength and determination that this Country is known for, and defeated the Nazi regime. President John F. Kennedy did not stop the Soviet ships from unloading their nuclear missiles in Cuba in 1962 with mere words. He stopped them with action, and threat of immediate war if the ships did not turn around. We did not end the Cold War with conferences. It ended with the strong belief of President Ronald Reagan... PEACE through STRENGTH.

Yes, you have a right to how you feel, but do not "down" our troops and our President! Won't be a problem to stay away from movies. Hope your son-in-law, and all our troops return home safely. I totally agree with the following statements on this page: "Our country has allowed this segment of our population to become far too powerful. These are people who entertain us. They are not more intelligent than the rest of us. They are not more informed than the rest of us." I am referring here to our current regime of unelected officials who have invaded a country against international law; have taken this country into huge deficit spending and are laying the bills at the foot of our children; who are eroding our freedoms faster than any previous U.S. administration; and, as commentator Marc Ash has said, “Bluntly stated, this is -- by far -- the most corrupt and criminal administration the country has ever known. Why is war so urgent? Because without it Bush and his friends would likely be going to jail.”

I go along with this web page the one and only thing I wanted to add is that we need to boycott the videos too. They get a kick back from them. I haven't been to the movies since the beginning of the year and I have decided I won't go again for the rest of the year or until our men and women come home. I have decided not to rent any video’s either. If every single one of us would do that the movie industry would feel it and feel it hard. The only problem is all the innocent people that own and work in those places will be affected too. I am ashamed and appalled at the movie industry and all the movie stars. They should be supporting our men like the old movie stars use to do by going over to the foreign countries and entertaining them. I am sending this page out to every one on my email list. Thank you for starting it and I am going to do my best to keep it going. Pamela

All to often they speak without knowledge and use their public status as a platform for their own opinions. I think we as a nation, should stand behind our President and members of the armed forces despite any difference of opinion. I do not "like" war, but am in total support and would never dream of showing the disrespect that so many "entertainers" have voiced. This is the best, most well written commentary I have seen. I agree with this statement word for word! And I can only hope that many people will respond to this in the same way. Sports people and those who are in the entertainment industry, and the rich and famous are becoming such a pain. I cannot say that I have seen much coming aout of Hollywood lately that would make me even want to go to the movies anymore. But their attitude is disgusting. If the famous, or wealthy from the US are the example we give to those countries they travel to, it is understandable why we are hated so much in the world. Some think they can say or do anything without reguard to morality, or conscience, or the effect it may have on others. And if others throughout the world think this is what we are as a nation, we are certainly misrepresented by these people. Maybe it isn't just our foreign policy, but the attitude of those who have the attitude they can be bought off with the right amount of money because they have been. They are amoral, & without good conscience. That's why their attitude is so liberal, and without good conscience. They live and give a bad example as to what most Americans really are. And they should be held accountable for it.

I have read the comments people have been making about the conflict in Iraq. It is disgraceful that anyone in their right frame of mind would even speak much less think that this is a wrong thing for President Bush to defend the liberty and justice for our country and for the oppresses people in the middle east. I am disgusted with the actors and actresses in Hollywood or any directors. They have been sending the wrong messages to our children over the years and the drugs they take,(remember the 60's?) These people have no morals and they are in the same class as Sadaam Hussein and the al quaida. Did you hear the latest? France is now having trouble with the Terrorists? They are afraid that their country is going to be destroyed and what a pity I guess, they won't be serving wine or Pate Foie Gras. It will have to be Fat liver paste!!! Boycotting the movies does not require enough sacrifice to make one feel a great deal of satisfaction considering the quality of the films Hollywood produces. On the other hand, when the stars share their liberal views regarding our effort to rid the world of the danger posed by Iraq and other terrorists, you have to admit, there is some certain satisfaction in seeing someone make an ass of themselves, don't you think?

I totally disagree with the sentiments of the vast minority of Hollywood entertainers and wish to remind them that if it weren't for the service men and women who are willing to die for our American freedoms, they would not be allowed to voice their opinions publicly. No one likes war, no one wants to think of our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, or friends dying. But, they are willing to do just that in order ot insure our freedom. Please, entertainers, do what you do best....entertain. I for one am not the least bit interested in your political views, nor do I wish to hear them, please be grateful that our country is not being run by a mad dictator. Be grateful that due to the wisdom and bravery of others, certainly not yours, America will always remain the best place in the world to live and be free. Judi D., proud to be an American

I agree more than you know. Please read the editorial that I placed in our local newspaper and if you agree please pass it along as I will do yours . Bob I'm so ashamed.... of every man and woman who is participating in these "antiwar" demonstrations ... here's a few reasons why... Woman are nothing more than trash to Saddam, his sons and the many other heathens that pay allegiance to his regime. It is a known FACT - - they have "rape rooms" in Iraq. It isn't just women ... it's girls as young as 12 years old !!! If you have never experienced rape, I'll be willing to bet you know someone who was raped. Think about the emotional scars that they carry for the rest of their lives. How long did the world stand by and let Hitler murder 6,000,000 Jews before anyone stepped into to save them? How long will we stand by and let the madmen in Iraq destroy everyone from old men to young girls lives? Their rage and destruction also includes anyone else that does not share their self serving views. So if you are marching...search your heart, make your peace with God.... and then think about asking "JUST" these young girls to forgive you for not caring. Don't even concern yourself with the thousands around the world that have died or will carry deep scars to their graves, for generations, because of these maniacs. You cannot "reason" with someone who is totally insane like Saddam Hussein, and his sons. You will never reach "normalcy" with "insanity." Do I want war? No - never! But someone has to have the courage to stop a murderer, rapist, and the absolute monsters, that he and his cohorts have become. I have said it and will say it again, especially after the event of the grenade bombing of our troops .... by a "fellow countryman." He was no countryman but just a "man" in this country masquerading as one. You might ask, why would someone do this? One of many reasons I can think of might be so they can live in a country where human rights are more than just a decree from a dictator. But this same person, that enjoys all that we have is secretly jealous of the imbeciles and leaps at a chance to strike back. There is no such thing as a hyphenated American except for one truly hyphenated American, the American-Indian. All others that choose to hyphenate their Americanism with such ludicrous pretext as Afro-,moslem-,polish-,mexican-,irish-,italian-, french-, chinese-,korean-, iraqi-, etc. are not true Americans. These people that choose to do this seem not to be completely fulfilled "just to be an AMERICAN." It seems that with this new type of, self imposed segregation, they seem to want to set themselves apart from the regular, common, "plain Jane" American. I am, as far as I know, Irish, Scottish and Cherokee but I do not pay homage to this linage, other than to acknowledge that I had ancestors form these nations.I do not know these people and would never think to rise up against a fellow American should we have a war with any of them. Right or wrong America is my only homeland! America's Freedoms and our rights were written with the blood, sweat, and tears of our forefathers and mothers in one of our most cherished documents, the US Constitution. If you can find another nation on earth that has a people who will fight and lay down their lives to give you the right to disagree with them, let you call them baby killers, burn their flag,ect.,ect.,ect. Kindly move there, & get the h*ll out of my country !!! If I've stepped on anyone's toes, TOUGH! I have parts of me and a great many friends, alive and dead scattered all over the globe and I'm exercising our "earned" right to protest what is going on !!! If you agree with me and these statements please pass this on ... if not that's your right but at least be appreciative that you have them. Please remember to pray for our troops, and all of our leaders. Bob Johnson

My wife and I have a lot of family and lifetime friends in the military. We are very pouud to know that they are there fighting for our freedom and the United States of America. As far as Charlie Sheen and the Chicks go, they should be deported and sent to live in Iraq, and be treated like the Iraqi People have been treated for the last 2 decades. As far as the Celebrity Status goes any longer, they better get out and find a real job now, cause they will starve to death waiting on a dollar that i give them. I can't help but wonder if these high profile abusers of power even care if those who support them so freely, feel because of their position, are not valued or supported by our countrymen? I wholeheartedly concur with your point of view. As a matter of fact, I stopped going to the movies (with a couple of exceptions) about two-three years ago because I was disgusted with the prevalence of abusive language, drugs and nudity. My retirement income set aside for entertainment has found positive influences rather than the bombardment of offenses one finds on film. God Bless our Troops and our President and may the Good Lord keep them in His loving care, guide and protect them.

I am the mother of an Army serviceman. He is with the combat support hospital that will travel with the men in the field. They will go over there shortly. My brother was in Desert Storm and at that time, my husband and two sons were at the ready to go. My father was in Laos, Vietnam, Korea, World War II. My mother served during World War II. I believe no one really wants war except Satonic people like Saddam Hussein, etc. But everyone can protest however they please. But now that the war is here, it is time to stop bellyaching and support all the men and women who are risking their lives for you. I too do not go to the movie theaters, but I will stop renting videos, and I have quit watching TV shows with actors and actresses I know are supporting the protest in Hollywood. And I really loved The West Wing. God bless America. Land that I love. Stand beside her and guide her...... Thank you servicemen and women. You are in my prayers daily. Sherri Abegglen Wisconsin

28 March 03/thanks for the opporrtunity voice MY opinion on these world events. As a World War 2 WAVE, I feel that I have earned the right to voice MY opinion. I hate war, of course; but I also hate the idea of one country trying to take over another one. At this point in time, I have a granddaughter who is aboard a ship, somewhere; I have a nephew who is a SeaBee (overseas); and a great-nephew, who is in the Navy. My grandson has served a hitch in the Marine Corps; is now in college, but is planning on enlisting in the Army. My family has a tradition of fighting for our Country when she needs us. WE have strong leadership in this Country now; and I truly believe that our citizens will come forward as needed. It's just too bad that, because of age, nothing more, people with experience are not allowed to serve. Age should not have anything to do with service; only ability and stamina should count! And I have both! (plus the age, of course, but that could be overlooked!). It is also VERY bad indeed that a group of so-called celebreties would say and do the things they are presently doing and saying. Our Country needs all of us, united in a common goal, which is the security and safety of A M E R I C A and her citizens. I remember what it was like in World War Two; young people were rushing to enlist and serve our Country; I venture to say that patriotism and love of country is not being taught to the young children as it was when I was young. We 'pledged' our Allegiance each morning, along with prayer (and this was in public school) to open our day. Now that is not allowed. Such a loss to our children. Our Flag was raised, with reverence, every morning, and lowered at the end of the school day. A Ritual which still brings a lump to my throat each time I witness it. One moment in my life stands out, above anything else, other than the births of my children; that one moment is the moment when I was being sworn into the Navy as a WAVE, in 1943. I had a lump in my throat, and tears were coursing down my cheeks; and I was not alone in that! I noticed that the other girls who were with me were having the same problems I had! To this day, if I see the Flag unexpectedly, as in a strange town, I have that same lump and rush of tears! I think the time it really hit me most was several years ago when I returned to our Country from a visit to Brazil. Seeing that Flag at the Atlanta Airport really brought it home to me just what that Flag signifies! GOD BLESS AMERICA, HOME OF THE BRAVE AND THE FREE, where any citizen can criticize anyone and say anything, no matter how stupid or ugly it is, or how it offends other people. That is the beauty of America; we are free people. I think a lot of our citizens don't even realize what we have and what we could lose; what if our Country were like those mid-east countries; or France; or even Germany! What if we could not express our thoughts; could not live where we wanted to. What if this were a dictatorship? Would those people out in Hollywood be so free with their criticisms? What if we had a Secret Police, like so many other countries do. Our citizens need to Thank their God every day for our freedoms in this Country; instead of trying to tear down what it has taken so many years and so many citizens to built, as in our independence, freedom of speech, all the freedoms we have, these citizens who are 'bad-mouthing' our government should be on their knees thanking God for what we have; with a special thanks to the hundreds of thousands of men and women who died in order for us to have these freedoms. Submitted by a grateful citizen, who gladly served her Country during World War Two. Pat O'Brien Holcombe, Mother of three veterans, sister to two veterans, wife of one veterans and grandmother and or aunt to four young people on active duty in our military forces, even as I write this (one is a young lady).

Amen!! I had already started to boycott Hollywood on the night on the Oscars by not watching and have decided that it shall continue. From all of the comments that generated from so called peace wanting celebrities I had had enough! My father served for almost 30 years in the military to fight for the freedom of these people who in return take it for granted by slapping his service in the face with a huge freedom of speech celebrity heavy! I am tired of those in that community thinking they are better than the people who actually WORK for their money and pay their salaries! YOU ENTERTAIN US!! Yet our children look at you like you are heroes. Our troops are the real heroes. And that my friends you will never measure up to! They live from paycheck to paycheck for something far greater than anyone in that town could ever accomplish and it's because they want to. It's called YOUR FREEDOM! Until I start seeing these so called "heroes" of the entertainment world put their money in the hands of the people who need it like those in Iraq who deserve to live as freely as Hollywood does.......Not another dime will come from my pocket to theirs!

We need to stand behing Our Commander In Chief 100%,also the troops and their families. These Iraqi people need to know what real freedom is and be able to experience it.We need to remember we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD.God is able to deal out punishment to those leaders in Iraqi and the other leaders of the other countries where freedom is not experienced. Could be that these leaders need some of their own medicine that they have been dealing out to these people. Those who would come over to this country to destroy should be dealt with severly and God will be able to deal with them also. Let's pray that God's will may be done and through all of this we as a Nation will fall on our knees and pray and ask God to forgive our land and that means those peoples in this land of freedom. March 29, 2003 I am a wife of a 30 year retired military officer. If only these comments could reach the so called"elite" of the movie industry people, it would be well worth our time letting them know how the majority of us feel. As for boycotting the movies, I long ago quit attending as most of them are pure trash anymore. They have made a great deal of money from the average people but when they are asked to be respectful of our President and pray for our troops, they are out rabble rousing about what a lousy country and government we have. I am most grateful for a praying christian president for a change. If you tried all your tactics in Iraq, you wouldn't be here to protest as you would have no freedoms there. and would no doubt be with us anymore. They know how to take care of protesters. But, thank God, many have fought for your right to be able to protest. What can you give in exchange for those sacrifices?? Hail to the Chief , God Bless our Troops and God Bless America. We thank you for fighting for the rights and freedoms of others. I rarely attend a movie as there really isn't anything worth seeing anymore. Television is about as bad. I simply do not watch programs with any of these people on them, nor will I in the future. Our brave men and women are putting their lives on the line for these people to have the right to believe what they choose to believe, and they should not speak against our country, our president or our military in such disrespectful ways. They could move to one of these countries and see just how much freedom they would be allowed to spew their venom. Some of the protestors have said, wait until we are attacked and then fight. I am the mother of four children. Three reside here in the United States of America and one in heaven. It has been said to me, "How can YOU support this war when YOU know what it feels like to lose one of your children?" My answer to that question is quite simple. An IT like Saddam Hussein must be stopped! He is a terrorist who cares about no one but himself. His heart is stone cold. Human life has no meaning to him. If we stand by and allow his reign of terror to continue then we are no better than he is. I have yet to hear of anyone who has been "directly" affected by the acts of vicious cowards like him who says we have "no business" doing what we are to STOP! him. No one wants to see innocent people of any race or nationality suffer or die as a result of this war, but there are some causes worth fighting for and this is one of them. Who will defend YOU if you are unwilling to defend others?

First and foremost let our best wishes , prayers what ever is your thing go out to the active military men and women who are so bravely fighting this war were all talking , debating about. I would like to use this space to honestly and hopefully change the minds of the "protestor" You must know that america is looking at you and honestly wondering why your doing what your doing. Is it your prosaddam ? a man , a beast who slatters his own people , has women raped in front of thier husbands , or has people who speak badly agasint them shredded up in huge machines either feet first or head first , surely you couldnt be prosaddam. Is it you believe that no war is needed and that if left alone he would dissarm ? It couldnt be that due to 12 years of UN involvement and no progress at all. Could it be that you just simply hate our government and wish we were more like france or germany or cuba or any of the other countries who have faught tooth and nail to make sure this war didnt happen ? That wouldnt make sence though sence we dont have mutilbillion dollar deals with IRAG like france and germany. See were not selling them parts for there war planes to fly , were not providing materials for there nuclear program like france is , even currently while in war. It can be you believe these countries to be better ran or wiser then ours. Since one is almost as close as you can get to being communist and the other is on the break of finicial disaster. ? Maybe you hate our president? Mr Bush ? perhaps your letting your political party run you into the streets , blocking traffic , making sure your police and there resources are being used to babysit you rather then making sure our wonderful country isnt bombed again. To be honest I dont know why your doing and saying what your saying all I do know is that every comment I have had the displeasure to hear from a protestor has made no sence at all , and in most cases runs a close tie with jesse jacksons kind of speech. No merit , no cause other then to protest and honestly unamerican. Being able to speak up and be heard is our right in america but bad taste and being down right rude and incorrect just makes you a bother , a bad moment in a great countrys history. that is what you will leave behind after this is down. You will have done nothing else then to have endangered those people in your cities who could or may be bombed or what ever else saddam and company have planned. after 9/11 I asked myself how long would it take certain fractions of america to forget that were targets in this world. well My answer is it has already happened For those of you who support our troops , be active in that support speak out and loud . Dont believe that just thinking it will be enough do something , anything to show your support , yellow ribbon , a sign in your yard , a bumper sticker , contact your local statesmen anything . dont let the protesters dominant anything other then there coffee houses and there acting studies. Ban sean penn movies and ban anything france asked today , do you wish the coaltion and american forces a victory in the gulf war , the French rep for the UN , said nothing , not even a no comment , he didnt reply and left his silence to answer his views. wake up america france is our enemy Peter Olson Idaho

Thank you for starting a web site where people can express their opinions on the situations that are going on in many parts of the world at this time. Freedom and this war means so many things to so many different people. Our very definition of the word Freedom has been be influenced, strengthened, or weakened by many factors: such as where we were born; what values our family, friends, and associates have helped to instill in us as we grew up; our very life style, whether we are rich, poor, or somewhere in the middle; our exposure to and understanding of, the facts and fictions that we have been bombarded with constantly since even before the war began and now daily as we read about or watch on TV. Some people may think in America, you have freedom of speech, however, that statement it is not 100% true for all Americans or in every situation. People are still treated, in some situations, where they may wonder if they really have that freedom. I have observed over the years, certain individuals feel they have a right to freedom of speech more than others. Some of these are money, public visibility, and a need to be constantly in the limelight. Some individuals have little respect for others and lack the brainpower (common sense) to know when they should keep their opinions to themselves. They do not have all of the facts before they start to speak or even understand it is not the proper time to voice their opinions. Because of the ability to provide news to the masses, I believe, news coverage of many situations, whether in the newspapers, radio, TV, or via the internet, our feelings and emotions are influenced and fueled by people we believe are “in the know”. When the truth is known, this is not always true, and many provide half-truths or slanted information, because of the very factors I mentioned before, as well as the sensationalism that sells papers or has people glued to the radio or TV. Unfortunately, gone are the days when a man’s word was his bond. Gone are the days when a handshake meant that a deal was signed, sealed, and “you could take it to the bank”. Yes, there are still people that hold fast to those principles, but instead of being held up and praised, they are made little of and even scorned by some. The very principles this great land of ours was built upon, have been slowly and surely degraded and undermined, by a great many individuals who have made their fame and fortune here in America and not always by hard work and honest dealings. Greed and the lack of morals are the very things that will keep this great nation from being all it could be. Many, that have gone into “public service” get a taste of what power, wealth, and having control over others, they soon forget the very people they are put in place to serve. Because of favorable media coverage some are kept there for years. However, if they happens to “fall out of favor” those very individuals who have been held up to us as wonderful one day, will be gone the next. Anything can be said and done, under “our rights for freedom” unless you anger the wrong person, a lesson hard learned by some over the years. What has happened to “we the people”. For years now, we have been constantly made to believe (largely due to media coverage), it is wrong, to have the word God in our schools and now in certain government offices or documents. The “few” that support this gets the media coverage where as good actions of individuals are seldom mentioned. A portion of the taxes I have been paying since I held my first job while in high school, help support many of the very people that want to remove something that is very near and dear to my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the many that are fighting this battle on our home front. A portion of my taxes go toward paying salaries for some individuals, who by their very actions and words have dragged the name of America and more importantly, God, down into the gutter. But, a portion of my taxes also go to help pay salaries of men and women in the service of our country, our military, and for that I am proud to be a small part. The military is another thing that is very near and dear to my heart. Our family members have been doing their part in preserving “Freedom” for our great America since the war of 1812. Each time there has been a conflict we have had a member of our family doing their part as needed in each and branch of the service. Both of my brothers were in the service, my husband was in the Marines and saw action during the Vietnam Conflict, our youngest son was also a Marine and saw action in Desert Storm. Our oldest son is a graduate of West Point and continues to serve our country in the guards we have many friends and family now serving, so I can speak to the feelings a parent has during a time such as this. Yes, I get angry when I hear and see the protesting of those against this conflict and want to divide our country in this way. War is never what any sane person would want to endure. Yes, I get angry when I see the flag, so many have died that “long may it wave” is burned by individuals who have no real knowledge or concept of what has happened in the wars past and now. Yes, I get angry when individuals make degrading and hurtful remarks about our President, as if he alone decided to go to war. Yes, I get angry when the leaders of Countries, where so many of our “military family” are buried so their countries could remain free, show by their actions, greed, hate, and deceit are not limited to America. And yes, I get angry when many from the movie industry want us to join them in believing what is happening now is wrong. What is great about America this land of the free, not everything that is for sure, but compared to many of the countries, it remains number one on my choice of places to live list. For here, I have the right and freedom to voice my feelings and concern in this way, knowing full well, some will take issue with every word I have put down, which is their right. If the shoe fits, wear it, otherwise know I respect and praise each individual that is living his or her life in a way that glorifies the Lord by their actions. In the end, we are ultimately responsible for our individual choices and the resulting actions of those choices. What you do will speak much louder than what you say. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” God Bless and Protect America, God Bless and Protect our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, friends and family in the military, God Bless and Protect our President and the leaders of our County, and God Bless and Protect those from other Countries that stand by America and have sent their loved ones to fight for a cause that will impact millions upon millions for years to come. God Bless and Protect those innocent individuals where this conflict now rages. Faye Gibson, Oklahoma

GREAT IDEA! As a retired Air Force NCO I can think of no better way to get their attention! There are some in the music industry that are just as bad! I just heard that the "Dipsie Chicks" slammed Pres. Bush and the rest of the military for being in the Desert! They also slammed Toby Keith for his song "The Angry American". I guess that their song "Earl had to Die" is real "American" though!? I do believe that there is another artist that should be boycotted also! An "Angry American"

THEY ARE CAUSING MORE TROUBLE THAN THEY ARE WORTH AND SHOULD SPEND TIME ON THEIR KNEES THANKING GOD THEY ARE IN THIS COUNTRY THAN OVER THERE. I JUST PRAY TO GOD THAT NOT TOO MANY OF OUR SOLDIERS WILL LOSE THEIR LIVES FOR THE LIKES OF THEM. HAVEN'T GONE TO A MOVIE FOR SOME TIME---OR EVEN WATCHED THEM ON TV AS CAN'T STAND THE SIGHT OF THEM KNOWING HOW THEY TREAT OUR SERVICE MEN..... THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME VOICE MY OPINION...........

Boycott's seldom work due to the lack of those who start it, staying with it. Money does indeed talk, but what it says should be important. Too often, we listen just because "they" said it. It is time for citizens to take a stand and have the guts to follow through. The stench of hollywood types goes far beyond the movies. It spreads to corp. America, Wall Street, 5th ave., advertising, etc. Clothing that makes our young look like street walkers and bums, saying filth they hear from the music industry, and not having the slightest idea of what is going on in the world. Whose fault is it? All of ours. NOW is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country. War makes peace, not talk. I did not vote for President Bush, but he is MY president as long as I am a citizen of this country. I know what I would like the spin-doctors to spin, but can't print it here. We must remember that millions of patriots have made the ultimate sacrifice so that this country, and the world, might have the opportunity to certain individual rights. FREEDOM is not free. I stopped going to the movies a long time ago because most of the content was either sexually explicit or very violent. I decided that the world in reality was enough for me so I did not want to be entertained by it. I use to go to about 6 movies a week and I do not miss them at all. I am hoping that my husband and grandson will now realize what I have been saying to them. My grandson just graduated boot camp with the Navy. He fought to be accepted in the military for 7 months and finannly they did. We lost his mother to violence and he is our only grandchild and yes I try not to worry about him but he is where he wants to be so we support him completely. If not for all the young military thorough the years we would not be a free country. I am grateful to all of them. I find hollywoods attitude very distasteful. They make so much money from pictures about war but then they go against our leader in time of war. They will be making movies about this war before it is even over. God help their souls. Jeni

I firmly believe we can respect and support our Troops, and still be against the War......it IS NOT lumped together, that we don't support our Troops...... I don't believe they should be SACRIFICED because Mr. Bush wants his name in the History Books......it is like our Troops are just so much fodder, not people, that we must expect to be "casualities".......not so..... Saddam could have been taken out, many times, without "wasting" our precious young men and women. But of course there is no "Glory" without bloodshed, at least in our leader's mind. It is very shameful, that with our suppose'd intelligence, there can't be peace, without ALWAYS resorting to weapons......when will we ever come out of the Dark Ages........assuming we will still be alive to do so......take the demon out, alone, and whoever is with him, and don't sacrifice our young people.....our Future.........

I am a 74 year old woman having lived through WW2 with a brother, uncles, and cousins serving then as well as some of my family serving now! I, too, hate war and have litterly been weeping and praying daily for our nation, our rulers and service people as well as for the Iraqi people and their country! Will never forget the interruption of our radio program that my Father always required us children to listen to on Sundays, "The International Lutheran Hour." It was interrupted at it's start with a news bulletin, "Japan has bombed Pear Harbor" -- The US is at war! Yes, I hated seeing us going into war again. But it seems the only way to curb Sadam's evil control of his people. Evil, and the devil, will not go away nor will it relent on it's fight against all that is truth and/or against Christians everywhere. Evil and the Devil is like a habit that is first aquired, can be small but as we let it into our lives will become stronger and take over if we let it. Each minute it is in our lives becomes harder, larger and stronger for us to fight and control. We must remember, that our rulers are given the authority, by God, to protect us as a people!

Thank you for speaking out. A lot of us feel the same way, but seem to sit and do nothing. I am in total agreement with you. I am also heartsick that Matin Sheen has been so vocal because I have always been a huge fan of his. I never miss West Wing, but may have to switch the channels now. Martin, if this site gets to you, I hope you understand what we are saying. I am not say that I agree 100% with war, but I do agree that a man like Hussein cannot be allowed to continue with the murder, rape, torture and robbery of Iraq that he has gotten away with for the last 30 years. For a country with all the money of Iraq, their citizens should not be in poverty and one man keeps building himself palaces. He is evil through and through. I know someone who survived 9/11......I don't want to have any Americans go through that again. Not only do I not want Americans to go through terror, I don't want anyone in the world to suffer it. We (we being ALL people; not just Americans) need to stop evil people from being terrorists. Even if you don't agree with the war, please don't be so vocal about it. And at least show some support to our young men and women over there. I am sure the are fans of yours too. J Hinds, Otterbein, In

I say Amen and Amen. You have my support 100% and I will do all I can to influence as many people in this direction as possible. I agree with you whole-heartedly and I think it is time we all took a stand in support of our President, All our leaders, Especially our Military and their Families. What true heroic Americans they are proving themselves to be. They are putting their lives on the line daily for me and my family and I take that very personal. In some instances they are literally giving their lives so that my family and I can live in this great country and lay our heads down at night feeling relatively safe just because they are there to protect us. I, too, do not like war, but in the Bible God led many a man into battle for justice and doing the right thing. If it was good enough for Him then it is definitely something that I can support in the name of Honesty and Justice. Saddam Is a monster in the truest sense of the word and since he likes to use human shields to protect his cowardly self, I would like to see us send all the so called stars to him and let him use them instead of the innocent women and children that he is using now. I believe that Natalie Raines of the Dixie Chics would change her tune real quick if we did that. My grandchildren loved their music, but no more. She has single handedly destroyed that group and unless they get rid of her they will never make it in country music any longer. How they can continue to sing the song Travelin Soldier is a mystey to me. I would like to see CMT take that video off the air completely. I do hope and pray that you will get a lot of response to this letter and if there is anything I can do to help get this message out to the entire country ...in fact the whole world... I am willing. I have a large mailing list and access to others that have very large mailing lists, and I plan on sending this to all of them. A Boycott sounds great because when you want to get the attention of their kind you have to do it through their pocket books. I believe that for everyone who protests this war is doing our Service men and women an incredible disjustice and I think it should stop. We did this to our soldiers in the Vietnam war and I thought then that this country let them down. I was much younger then and thought I could not do anything about it but to tell people how I felt....which I did. This time I am writing and forwarding everything I can to get the message out that the Majority of the American citizens are in full support of our President and our Militray. I am a firm believer in either love it or leave it. Thank God for a Praying President, Leaders that believe in prayer, and a Military that also prays before going into battle. If God be for us who can stand against us. Please lift our country, our President, our Military and their families, and the innocent Iraqi People up in prayer daily. I know God will continue to guide and direct those in charge. none of us are perfect, and we all have different thoughts on this war, but now is not the time to be protesting for sure. Let me start by saying that I agree with our policy of going over and ridding the world of this lunatic regime. We fight, as we did when we had our own revolution, in the name of freedom. That means we are fighting to uphold the right of those actors (and everyone else in this country), to voice their opinions...even if they are difficult to listen to, and completely against what we believe. Being an American, living in a free society, is a lesson in tolerance. These people, who don't want us over there, love this country as much as we do, and are as passionate about their beliefs as we are about ours. They are against the war, not against the troops. Some of the comments I'm reading are disturbing. We can't say that we are fighting for truth, justice and the freedoms of the American way, and then try to shut up those who are exercising that freedom. It doesn't make sense. God Bless America and the men and women over there fighthing for ALL of us.

With all of this talk of war, many of us will encounter "Peace Activists" who will try and convince us that we must refrain from retaliating against the ones who terrorized us all on September 11, 2001, and those who support terror. These activists may be alone or in a gathering.....most of us don't know how to react to them. When you come upon one of these people, or one of their rallies, here are the proper rules of etiquette: 1. Listen politely while this person explains their views. Strike up a conversation if necessary and look very interested in their ideas. They will tell you how revenge is immoral, and that by attacking the people who did this to us, we will only bring on more violence. They will probably use many arguments, ranging from political to religious to humanitarian. 2. In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them in the nose. 3. When the person gets up off of the ground, they will be very angry and they may try to hit you, so be careful. 4. Very quickly and calmly remind the person that violence only brings about more violence and remind them of their stand on this matter. Tell them if they are really committed to a nonviolent approach to undeserved attacks, they will turn the other cheek and negotiate a solution. Tell them they must lead by example if they really believe what they are saying. 5. Most of them will think for a moment and then agree that you are correct. 6. As soon as they do that, hit them again. Only this time hit them much harder. Square in the nose. 7. Repeat steps 2-5 until the desired results are obtained and the idiot realizes how stupid of an argument he/she is making. 8. There is no difference in an individual attacking an unsuspecting victim or a group of terrorists attacking a nation of people. It is unacceptable and must be dealt with. Perhaps at a high cost. We owe our military a huge debt for what they are about to do for us and our children. We must support them and our leaders at times like these. We have no choice. We either strike back, VERY HARD, or we will keep getting hit in the nose. I would love to give proper credit to whomever it was that wrote this, but a name was not passed on when I received it by E Mail. F. Gibson, OK. Lesson over, class dismissed

Hello! I agree with you 100 percent and am thankful for the stand you are taking. Hollywood will not get any of my money for theatre tickets. I won't even watch some movies or television programs on television because I think they need to learn to keep their mouths shut. Thanks again for your stand! Sincerely, jess L. Ryburn

I'm on board. You are right that they are not more important, not smarter...in fact, up against the President, the Vice President, Colin Powell...their political, educational and literal experience can't compare. Most are lucky to have high school diplomas, much less be College graduates...men with military awards and accomodations, or with chests baring medals for valor and service to our country. Hollywood is pampered, spoiled, and over-run with self centered, ego tistical peole who care to shove their opinions onto the telelvision screens, and entertainment programs. They never really impressed me much before, even though I enjoyed some of their movies. But, since this war, listening to their constant bashing...which by the way, if we had done to Clinton at this level, we would have been called "mean spirited", I have become so tired of theif views, I have harldy watched TV or been to a movie. So, to show them that I have had enough, I willingly agree with you, to stop going to the movies. I am not going to rent anymore as well. I have stopped watching most tv that I once did, and have been listening to much more music than I have in quite a long time...not the Dixie Chicks...and the music industry is being scrutinized as well. I hope you have a great response to your letter...God Bless you! Lisa

Thank you so much for putting this out in a public forum for all to see and pass around. I hope that some of these so-called celebrities happen to drop by and come to the realization that they are going to become a thing of the past if they continue down the road they have been on. I know that the majority of Hollywood is in this Un-American mindset but I also know that there are a very few that are the opposite. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are the only 2 I know of that are truly patriotic. I feel that at least these 2 should be supported by us to really let Hollywood know what we mean. If 70% of the public swarms the theaters for the "good actors" and the other theaters are empty, won't that do more? I for one went to see Bruce Willis in his new movie "Tears Of The Sun" this evening. Yes, it is violent with some scenes that are kind of hard to watch but it is one of those that I feel more Americans need to see. If for nothing else, to let them know what our Military goes through to stand up for what is right and the kind of people we are up against! I recently heard that Bruce Willis wasn't sure how he could support our troops serving overseas. On advice from his daughter he did something that helped 2 great organizations. He (out of his own pocket) purchased 20,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and sent them to our troops in the Middle East. Now tell me that isn't a true patriot! Thank God for people like the ones who have written this letter and the responses here. We all need to do more though. Send letters to the studio's, the agents, the theaters, etc. to let them know that we want a return to the values that made this country what it is today. I am a U.S.A.F. veteran and am herebye saying, "enough is enough"! Mark from Branson, MO.

Would be interesting to hear what your definition of disrespectful is. George Bush is not a god. But lately you people seem to be so transfixed that you think that if anyone dares to exercise their right to free speech, then they are Unamerican and Unpatriotic. And I suppose that if their views dare to differ from the lies we are being feed, Lords knows, you are disrespectful and should go where you come from. Well you know what, except for the Native Indians we all came from somewhere and we are all in this boat together. here to stay! so hello! Plenty of Patriotic Americans who are born again Christians worry that the planet's center of unclear thinking has shifted to Washington. So it is not just the folks in Hollywood who are concerned. The cause of peace is not served by making up yet another insult list. That is not biblical.! Wake up! This is America, remember, Land of the free! If the people called by God's name would humble themselves and remove all the hatred from their hearts and pray! Then what??? Sooner or later and i pray sooner, you all will wake up to the real shock and awe which is the budgetary disaster that awaits this country. But no need to worry, we live by Faith! How can you have respect for someone who lies to you. 9-11 was wrong and an unspeakable act against the people of America. But the fact remains George Bush has exploited that horror and is using that to justify the illegal war which would have taken place even if he had reeceived Saddam's head on a platter. You know what it is time for all of you to stifle your idiotic outbursts and get on your knees. No wonder the world is listening to Hollywood We cannot build a roof over this Country!

I think you definitely have the right idea,,, now,, if we will all just voice our opinions & get in step here, I think we can all make a difference. I really feel that this is going to be an ongoing war. We must prepare ourselves for it. We need to support the troops over there. They had no say in their deployment and they are fighting for us because that's what they are trained for. If we didn't want this, we should have spoken up years ago, when WE, the US, started gathering troops & training them by the thousands. We have an excellent force & will prevail providing the right people are at the controls of it all. God help us all if we don't. If those troops thought for one minute that they were being opposed & had no support from home, that alone would be devastating for us in the long run. Look back to VietNam. Still,,,,I'm saying my prayers at night, Just my .02 Rich OKC

Just wanted to say thanks for writing that E-Mail to the world. It is so true. I am tired of hearing about all the conflicts and riots over everyone's opinion of this war. If we could concentrate more on support for our fighting men and women, they would have a better chance of surviving such a war. It is our people standing up for the rights of our country, as well as other countries people, that makes us a great nation. We fight for the right of "Freedom" in every aspect of the word. Isn't that what our soldiers are doing? Is it better to die in an automobile accident, plane mishap, etc, and be unknown, or to die as a brave Soldier and be known throughout history. Better yet, to live as a man or woman who helped change the world from another "Hitler" as Saddam Hussein and his son's are. Each day you can see the horrific extreme's this so called leader has done to his own people. We can be proud to serve for a country such as the "United States of America". I stand behind our presidents decision.

"The List" of those so-called "celebrities" who think they speak for the entire U.S.A, can be found at the following website;  These people have a right to speak their minds...they have the right to protest anything they wish. They have the RIGHT to make complete asses out of themselves, because my grandfather and many soldiers with and before him DIED to ensure those rights. However, they do NOT have the right to lie through their teeth and claim that they speak for ME. This is MY country. President Bush is MY President...and I am PROUD to be a United States citizen! We are doing the right thing. Our president is protecting us and freeing the good people of Iraq from tyranny and fear. The people on the above list are cowards. Shut up Hollywood! As a wife of a military man, I resent those people that demean our President. They once said they would go over and be a human shield. I think that is the only good idea they have had. In fact I bet there are a lot of people that would go to the point of departure and give them a glorious sendoff. I would travel there just to do so. I refuse to watch any movie, in the theater or on TV that stars any of these people. Yes they do have a right to say what they want, BUT who is giving them that right. Perhaps if they lived in a country like Iraq for just one month, I bet they would come back with a different outlook. I do regret that they have the influence on the young people today. However with what we see on TV and at the movies demoralizes the upcomming generation. Those that speak out so loudly are also those that are arrested for drug and alcohol abuse. Those two thing eats at the mind, SOOOO I guess the words spoken from a mushy brain can be spoken because of this country's stand on freedom.

Thanks for having this available. My ex served in Vietnam and I remember well listening to him speaking on a tape machine and hearing our sons voices in the background. Apparently when we kept taping over tapes the voices blended into a message when his Bunker was being bombed. He did make it home, but I will never forget hearing my sons who were 1 and 2. It sounded like they were being attacked. I urge everyone to continue to pray for those serving all over the world. We aren't taking over, but helping those who need help. I would like to recommend a wonderful Website. It's Tall Texian www.talltexian.com he has many wonderful Patriotic Pages and several regarding the ANTI people. One is titled Dixie Duo-showing a Dixie Chick and Saddam. He has pages on the WTC Tragedy. He himself is a Veteran. I am giving him your page-but maybe you could contact him yourselves. Subject Hollywood" "OH," where have all the stars gone? "THEY" have gone to fight for our freedom!" You make-believe stars in Hollywood. Yes, you have a right to free speech and to stand there with your fingers in the air and a smirk on your faces, and I might add how unattractive you looked. But, anyone can do that. Instead, why don`t you take some of your millions that you earn for a movie and make donations to help the service personal`s families they had to leave behind. Do you know or even care to know that the military pay is so low that these families have to depend on food stamps, food banks and used clothing stores to make ends meet. Why don`t you become foster parents for a pet that some had to put in a pet shelter whan they went overseas, or, buy their families` computers so that they can send e-mail letters to their loved ones, or, pay for long distances calls so a child can talk to their daddy or mommy while they are away. My husband is a retired Navy SeeBee and he served three tours of duty in Viet-Nam in the name of freedom and his grown children and young grandchildren are very proud of him. Maybe you will be so lucky some day. J.P. A 65 year old "OAKIE" Grandmother living in San Diego. "A THOUSAND YEARS FROM NOW IT WILL NOT MATTER HOW BIG YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WAS. Have you ever been to the aol message board If you haven't go and read what some people say. They are the people we should be ashamed of. Well said. In addition to boycotting the movie theatres, it is equally important to boycott television. Martin Sheen, on West Wing, is one of the most vocal anti-Bush, anti-war nuts. Boycotting that program will bring pretty fast results because the networks--and their advertisers--track ratings (how many people are watching their program) on an episode-by-episode basis. The advertisers will bail out when the ratings go south---and the program doesn't get picked up the next season. Good bye, Marty! These celebrities also need to be constantly reminded that---contrary to that of policemen, firemen, nurses, plumbers, garbage men, and a million other professions---their profession contributes absolutely nothing toward the health, safety and welfare of humanity. The fact that such a filthy rich, noncontributing profession exists is a good example of the fact that you don't always get what you pay for. R. S. Krieger

FROM JERRY AND LINDA HARMON MCOKSVILLE NC I THINK IT IS DISGRACEFUL OVER THE PROTESTS, THE HARSH WORDS BEING SAID. OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF ALONG WITH OUR CONGRESSMEN AND WOMAN HAVE VOTED FOR THIS WAR. WE AS AMERICAN PEOPLE OWE IT TO OUR COUNTRY, OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN OVER THERE AND TO OUR FALLEN FELLOW AMERICANS FROM PREVIOUS WARS TO HONOR THE FREEDOM THAT WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY. WE WORK IN THE UKRAINE EACH SUMMER AS SOUTHERN BAPT. MISSIOANRIES, GETTING READY TO GO MAY 29TH. FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE. WE SEE OVERSEAS WHAT COMMUNIST LEADERSHIP HAS DONE TO THE COUNTRIES, HOW THE FOLKS MUST LIVE EVEN AFTER THE COMMUNIST HAVE RELEASED THESE COUNTRIES. THE POVERTY AND HARDSHIP FOLKS FACE, NO DECENT WATER, NOT ENOUGH FOOD, NOT ENOUGH SCHOOLING OR OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR CHILDREN, INSUFFIENT HOMES, HOSPITALS AND MANY OTHER THINGS AMERICANS TAKE FOR GRANTED. THESE PROTESTERS SHOULD REALIZE MOST OF AMERICANS CAME FROM OTHER COUNTRIES TO LIVE HERE IN FREEDOM. However, I am very disappointed with the entertainment industry--including films, television and athletics. We have become a bunch of sheep, sitting back putting ourselves in the position of thinking that because of the outlandish wages they are drawing indicates that they are our "Gods" and worthy. They have been ertoding our very morals upon which our nation and families were once based. We have to claim part of the blame when we sikt back and pay them individually more for an episode than many hard working families make in months to peddle their egos. They have a right to free speech, but if they do not like living here and sharing our responsibilities, let them move to Iraq. God Bless us all - we sure need it..

They seem to think they know something that we, the general public doesn't know and they must tell the rest of the country what is right and wrong for all of us.I resent that a lot of people because of their status in "Hollywood" stand up and disrespect this Country and our leaders at a time we should be praying and supporting the troops and our leaders. These celeberaties should try coming down to earth and see the world through something besides a camera and the rating at the box office. Also they need to clean up their own industry and set a moral example. I do thank God that there is still some clear thinking people in the industry. I feel that, since most of them aren't even US citizen's, we should send every one of them back to the country they came from and not let them back into the USA. Let them run down our president and country while they are in their home country and not here making millions of US dollars and sending it back to their home. Of they want to go to Iraq and be a human shield, let them go but then don't let them back into the country.

The Lady who wrote this letter deserves an anormous applause for speaking what I wish I could do. As John Wayne said many times, "THANK YOU PILGRIM." And to all of our COUNTRYMEN and WOMEN serving in the military and their COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH, I love you and sincerely appreciate your SACRIFICE for my freedom. And as a token of my appreciation, my wife and I will get dressed and go to church to WORSHIP the AUTHOR of all freedoms. May GOD bless every freedom loving person all over our world today. Thank you so much for getting this started. I also hope it gets to all the people who are against this war. All I have to say is that if they are not in favor of the war then they must be in favor of Hussein. Then why don't they go over there and let him be their president. He can have them beat and killed for voicing their opinion. Or better yet use his chemicals on them the way he has his other citizens. Let us all remember 9-11 and pray that our President and our troops conquer all of the people that would hurt this great nation. God Bless America. Cheryl Zuck

I do agree that the people in the public eye take advantage of their fame,However, I think the war might have been started to soon,or maybe avoided completely. More time should have been alloted. It seemed much to soon for this last resort. I too know people and of people that have been deployed. I believe it was much to soon, that not enough was done to work things out to try to prevent this. It almost seemed like jumping out of the fring pan into the fire. This is a very poor time to put our people or our allies in danger. In this downturn we are experiencing we can't afford this unless absolutly nesessary. At this time it didn't seem that necessary. Why didn't they finish what they started first and go after that monster that was responsible for 911? They should have finished that job first. That was truly necessary!

I am in total agreement. I do not go to movies for there is nothing worthy to watch...< you know trash in trash out> ! I read some of the comments and one person stated that our Hollywood Stars are not the "quailty" of stars we had before, and they are so right! Twin Towers was an attack against America, are we as an American people so easily turned, and now come against what the President is doing..fighting to protect freedom that is "everyones" right. It is this freedom that gives the highminded puffed up Hollywood Better Than you Stars, the right to speak their self-conceited thoughts. War is ugly but necessary. Go to the Old Testament and you will find WAR! "especially in these countries" After the enemy had come in and destroyed David's camp, captured all the women and children, what did God tell David to do..."Pursue" ! That is what President Bush has commanded our troops to do Pursue. I pray everyday for those involved in this war. The one that have a intimate relationship with the Lord, to protect them and fill them with peace, for those that do not know the Lord in an intimate way, that they would find salvation as death waits at the gate to claim them. < which include all <American's , British solidiers, Iraqui's> ! And it is pretty obvious I must put the Hollywood Stars on my list right underneath the Iraqi's ..that their eyes of understanding would be enlightened and receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour! Our battleground of this war is our Prayer Closet! An American that lives Freedom...R Rhodes

As a veteran I say "THANK YOU!!!!" Let's consider the caliber of the Hollywood types who are opposed to eliminating Saddam Hussein and his psychpathic regime.. My feeling is that they are desparate to keep thier names in public and will stop at nothing to make page one.. Seems most of them are either in the twilight of thier careers or are just getting started and need the publicity.. Those in between are using what I call the "herd mentality" - - following the loudest noise... Sad state of affairs eh??? It must hurt Barbra Striesand badly when asking a younger person who she is and that person say "WHO - never heard of her ????" I guesss the fact that the Iraqi government systematically murdered thousands of men women and children because they belong to a different tribe or religion (Kurds) is of no relevence to these front page fanatics.. On a closer location the thousands who died and lost loved ones on Sept-11 are also not relevent... Too bad you Hollywood hype types have become all style and no substance.. You are showing the rest of us just how shallow and out of touch with reality you really are... Unfortunatly you have public exposure all out of proportion to your worth... Jim..

Many sections of Government have become too powerfull in their own right and individuals abuse that power for their own ajenda. But this administration is not one of them. If you have to protest, protest the government sectors like Social Services that rip four kids out of the home over a false aligation from a jealouse adversary, without proper investigation first. And then the children are all abused in the respective foster homes during a brutal five month interogation. Almost daily, just trying to find something on the parents, so the government social workers don't look like they made a mistake. Now, after sending three of the four children to psychiatric hospitals because they brutally and emotionally abused them so much, they send them home all sick and refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. There is a law trying to be passed in Congress, taking all liability away from Social Service individuals and Juvinile Officers that work neglegently in their jobs, so they can not be repremanded for allowing a child to be be killed while in their care, or ruining a family's life because of such negligence. These are the issues we need to protest. A Missouri family that lost a child to the blatant abuse of power by a juvinile officer and the social service system begs that you pray for these government sectors. It's collectivism at its worst and capitalistic. Where are we going as a nation if we continue to allow this? But this war is justified and this administration is justified. firstly get rid of the music it is very distracting and not very plesent I beilive that we in the west have no right whatsoever to tell other peoples how they should live Peace will only come to the troubled countries of the world, by the peoples of those countries. There will never be peace in Ireland until the people that live there won't it, all the poloticians and diplomats of the world will not change that as for Iraq the only weapons of mass distruction I see are being used on the very people we are suposed to be saving. If you think sadam is holding back until he is cornered then you have not read him as I have. when has he held back from what he wants Yes ye is an evil currupt man, but we are not blameless Having said that I do not agree with this was, I love and support and pray for all the troops that are in the desert doing their jobs may God protect and guide them and their leaders I pray that peace will come to this world and to all whatever creed or race and that Gods light will shine on us all as we are all as one in his light

I am sure in favor of boycotting the movies and will not be going to the theater to see a movie for quite some time. I am not in favor of war, but I am in favor of freedom and in order to have our freedom then there are times that we have to fight in order to stay free. I feel so sorry for the people of Iraq and as human beings they too deserve to experience the same freedom that we do. It is our sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc that are over there fighting and we do need to support each and every one of them as they continue to fight. Hi! We don't have television service where we are and the first I was aware of the Hollywood issue was an email that I received about the Dixie Chicks. I know that there are always some who do not agree with the President. I didn't agree with the things our last President did, but I would never dream of verbalizing those disagreements in another country. Yes, people will disagree out loud here with one another. That's fine. That's our right. I do email stationery and one that I did portrays my sentiments exactly. It's called "AMERICA! LOVE It or LEAVE It!". As for boycotting movies, I started doing that years ago when mostly everything that came out was rated PG-13 and R. Whatever happened to good old-fashioned "G" rated movies that were entertaining. I don't intend to pay to be subjected to blood, guts, gore, sex and profanity and I think there is something wrong with people who find those things entertaining. Thank you for this web page and the opportunity to express ourselves publicly on our feelings about this whole situation. They control or own the financial industry, most manufacturing, the news media - radio, television, newspaper, magazines and the movie industry. They control the Congress by their donations to congressman through lobbyist. The Jewish people are the most intelligent people on the earth. The best Doctors, Lawyers, Scientist, they all excel in their fields. They have made America a better place to live in many ways. We are still the greatest nation in the world to live. That is why we have to protect ourselves and others. Charles Spaeth

THANK YOU!! I agree 100 per cent. If anyone thinks that Saddam is not or was not a threat to our country, you had better read your Bible. Greater countries than ours fell when they turned from God. I do not consider this a God-fearing nation anymore. If we were, we would still have public prayer and not be limited on speaking God's name. My husban and two oldest sons were in the Army. One son served 5 plus years and the other 12 years. The latter did a lot for this country that can never be told. If you think we know all that is going on in this world and all the threats that this country has been faced with, you are saddly mistaken!!!! I support America, President Bush, and all our Military!! A Proud, but disgusted with some of our so-called citizens, American! dorothy

Boycotting is not a viable action as the wind will pass over it & people will return to doing what they always do & believe in. I know I get irratated when the media high lights the events to such an extent that is all one hears. There are many issues in life, in our home in our own backyard that are just as powerful that are ignored during these times. I would like to hear more about that. Prayer is more effective as it breaks into the spiritual realm. We also need to be careful what we pray about & not be supporting one person more than another. Or supporting the war without knowing what God's will is first. We need to pray for wisdom to be given to government leaders in how to handle things right & not handle them according to what our emotions tell us

I think it is about time the the silent majority speaks out. This is a tough subject to speak on since the whole world is so divided about this war. I don't like war and I certainly don't know anyone that does. I am proud to say that we live in a country that has the freedom to speak. I don't see how a citizen of the United States of America can be so Anti-American though -- it deeply disturbs me. I'm not sure war is the answer to anything and especially in this situation. I'm just hoping that our country is doing the right thing here and it turns out with the results that is right for all. There is no doubt that the people who live in Iraq need to be liberated and I'm praying that, if for no other reason, we get that result accomplished. Maybe if we can get the right end result this will be worth it. There is a great cost in war so let's pray that the cost will be minimal. I know many things for sure..............I am proud to be an American, I support the President of the United States.............but most of all, I support our troops and pray for them daily that God will bring them all home safely. As far as the radicals in oposition to this war goes, I can't even understand their anti-American views and I think their punishment should be to go live under Saddam's control -- not only would they not be able to speak their views they would know what freedom is all about. I'm hoping and praying that they clean up their act on their freedom of speech and use the respect that should be shown against our troops, our country and our President. It seems like their agenda is very political...........isn't it time to put our politics behind us in a time such as this and stand up for our country and our troops? This is an action that can't be reversed, whether you agree with it or not, so let's all as Americans pray that our troops all get home safely and soon. God Bless America!!

I agree with you! I am tired of hearing people speak disrespectfully of our president. He is a good man, not a dictator nor irrational with others. He has respct for other people and he would not have started this war if they had not threatened us and our country. Some of the people that put him down that enjoy our freedoms, should go to another country and see how long they would last with their attitudes. I love this country and all it stands for. I praise you for your stand and we will pray for your son in law. Thank you for speaking your mind.

Hi: I am against terrorism and you are asking me to terrorize hollywood in some small way. I do believe in the freedom of speech. I do not agree with war. I believe in peace. I feel that your government put Saddam where he is and supported him and now regret that. I was 100% in favor of getting Osama binladen and still am, but not in destroying Iraque to get to Saddam. The people are suffering more with the Americans there. You really want to do something, go to Iraque and help them with aid. Hear how they are hurting because their country is being destroyed, for what. The are under more oppression now than ever before. You might feel a little differently if bombs were dropping in your communities daily in the name of freedom. Look at history. What has war ever accomplished except destruction and death. Saddam and his regime can be removed in other ways. The money used for war could create peace and well being in Iraque. Once again we persecute the Jews who are suffering along with their friends and families in Iraque. My prayer and efforts are for peace at all costs. I love my American neighbours and I hurt for them, but I cannot support war, destruction and terror to my fellow man. Turn to God and Peace, not war. Lynn, praying for USA and Iraque

I very strongly agree with this. If they are so much against the war then maybe they should go over there and live. No one wants war but we are now in it and every true American should stand behind our Nation. If he left to run that country and then everyone should think what he could do to our nation. It is really sad that it had to come to war but that is the only way that he knows how to do anything. I Love my country and enjoy all the freedoms that we have and would never want to live under that kind of rule. We need to stop and think about what he does to his own people and then try to put ourselves in their place and see how we would like to live like that. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL OF OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS THAT ARE OVER THERE. EVERYONE NEEDS TO SAY ALOT OF PRAYERS FOR THEM AND PUT GOD BACK WHERE HE BELONGS. HE NEEDS TO BE IN EVERYONE LIFE. I think that a "general" response is not a good answer to a specific entertainer's comments. I have seen many differences between entertainers responses. To pick out one that does not support the troops and then to boycott the whole industry is unfair. I agree that we should boycott those that do not respect our leaders, our ideals, and our soldiers, but we should also support those entertainers that DO help and support our Presdient and troops...like Ann Margaret, Garth Brooks, Lee Greenwood, Charlton Heston and the many others that believe in what our country represents and understand why we have to go to war at this time. The others like Jane Fonda and the Dixie Chicks should rightfully be boycotted so that they understand that we do NOT support their works or their anti-American sentiments. You are doing a VERY GOOD thing in speaking out in this way. I commend you.

What has Hollywood become and just how far will those self-righteous hypocrites go? If they believe that peace with terrorists is the way to go..... I think we are forgeting one Important thing here! We have freedom of speech, which by my definition means that you can say what you like and not be punished for it. If ya'll start boycotting movies and enertainers is that not punishing them ? I wonder if you really are putting yourself in there shoes. Sure this country is in a terrible place right now, we all need to stick together, no doubT, But I can not see people losing their jobs because they protest war or say they don't agree with president Bush. We are suppose to be Free. That means I am free to agree or disagree with anything or anyone without being punished. I can not believe that this war is happening because of september 11th. It was a terrible tragedy, but it was two years ago. This is about Bush wanting Saudam Hussuen.((spelling not sure)) I don't trust President Bush. I Don't like him. That's my opinion. I'm in the USAF and have a difficult time with the statement "I support our troops but not the war." (to state it briefly) Being a servicemember, that statement just doesn't sit right with me. Your 'troops' do support the war, or they wouldn't be 'your troops'...people like you who've choosen to defend your right to say you disagree with them...and that is really what you're doing. As I watch television and see these citizens making this statement I interpret their actions as a guise to be politically correct. I want to see one public figure make this statement at a USO show or at a public function near a military installation. These citizens don't have a CLUE as to what we do...and don't really care about us any other time than in times of conflict...then we're 'supported' but our purpose is not...how do you figure that?! Don't insult our intelligence and maturity to make decisions about our own lives. We are in the armed forces and train EVERYDAY to defend freedom...you don't see it until its on T.V. We know there is a chance we could die...we're in the military for God's sake! The LAST thing a miliary member wants is a celebrity 'defending' their lives with their outspoken personal feelings about the war...spouting their political feelings cloaked with their 'concern' for our troops. B.S. !

I do not support the President's Policies. I do support people everywhere who speak out against the war no matter what their profession. If you want to boycott movies, then do it because of the poor quality that is the norm. And while your at it, why not boycott products of companies that sponser TV shows that depict violence and sex as the norm. Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. I don't dispute his reputation for abuse. However I don't feel that the death of one American Military Personnel or Iraq citizens is worth his removal. What in the world does America gain by causing more grief? Under this President's policies the Constitution has been violated, the Bill of Rights has been violated. I agree with you completely. My husband and I will not watch any show or movie made by those actors. But even though I agree with you about boycotting them. There are a few we need to give our support to. Bruce Willis, He begged all military to let him join. They all turned him down. He tried the reserves, they turned him down. Then he went to President Bush and begged him to pull some weight and get him in a branch of service. He said he wanted to serve his country. Bush asked him to instead do charity work and things for the troops here at home. So if a Bruce Willis movie comes to my town he has my money. Mel Gibson is another. He has been on various shows supporting the president. This man has taken alot of grief but he still stands strong. There are others Goldie Hawn,Curt Russell, Arnold Swar.( dont even expect me to spell his name )Steve Martin, Queen Laftava. there are more sorry I can not think of them all. These people deserve our support. Almost all the country singers are for our president and our country. Only the chicks have said something bad, I will not listen to them anymore. This is an idea I've wanted to see in action. Hollywood is not the answer to the world's problems and certainly not a solution to anything. Look at the unhappiness in these folk's lives. Let them have it.....BOYCOTT MOVIES!!! I certainly have been for over ten years now, and will continue. Thank you all for allowing me to post this. Frankie Freeman High Desert, California

Thank you for creating this page! You have saved the time of many including myself who have probably wanted to do the same. I have seen all the anti-war protest and the negative propaganda from all over the world and especially in our country with regards to one of the most influential groups in the world, why because they are public figures and they are role models to many through out the world. I think they (actors/muscians) just shot themselves in the foot! No one likes war! We did not like it in the vietnam era (my age group) and we don't like it now! I can ONLY imagine what would happen if they were to protest the war back in the WWI and the WW2 era, they would be out of work and a few other things they most value. I have heard that some would like to go to Iraq and use themselves as human shields, okay get ready I will donate some money to some of these loud mouths who are so ignorant, I would bet money not one of them would go if the money were donated! I think this is called a COWARD! I sit and listen to the protest from this bunch and I think wow they all act for a living most of them are not in touch with reality, most of them have some sort of dependecy and then they become experts about defending our country. Then I ask myself why would I listen to the phony's that live the majority of there lives acting like someone else? They can't comprhend this (war) situation or most likley they have not done the research about what is really going on in this world, they have gotten lazy like the most of us have in the past, we depend on our people in Washinton DC, to take care of it all! So then they take an easy route to protesting the war! Wake up call! Since 911 I have reasearched and read all that is avaiable to all of us on the net and do not depend on the "Slanted News Media" they only report what they want to report! I would bet that everyone who is concerned will not depend on the news media to report all that is avaiable to us and our so called people in Washinton DC to look out for our best interest and start voting in some "PEOPLE" into that arena that can make a difference! People like you to take the valuable time out of our lives to get vocal and make a difference to make this a better place to live. It takes people like you to make the diference. We need to back our president George W Bush even if you did not vote for him, He is cleaning up a mess that he inherited, and doing the best he can do. I personally think he is one of the best presidents this country has ever seen and I do not agreee with all of his policies. For another view on "Human sheild" you will not see in the main stream media look at www.newsmax.com main page scroll down to the comentary about "disillusioned human shields" by Reed Irvine The hollywood bunch don't want you to see this! This is my response & I'm damn proud of it.............USA!! Unfortunately I sent it before signing it. So if you happen to read it twice just consider it more support....... As the wife of a recently retired Sr. Chief in the United States Navy the thought of war is always a fearful one. You don't for one moment think that Mr. Bush nor anyone else in his Cabinet wake up in the morning & decide "Hey, I'm bored, Let's start a war!". However, that is the price we pay for the freedoms that our Great Country allows us. Our Commander-in-Chief has done all he can to work things out in a more peaceful manner, however, that was not acceptable to someone like Saddam Huessin, who apparently cannot be "playing with a full deck" anyway. The men & women in our Military put their lives on the line for "US". I would like to see all those that have negatives things to say about our President & the United States of America to simply pack their bags & leave. I wonder how long they would actually survive without the Freedoms that our Military provides. Do they realize that there would be no more jewelry, evening gowns or red carpets rolled out for them? No mansions, no expensive cars, no make-up artists or hair stylists. I guarantee that after a short time they would be down on their knees praying to be back in the United States. I also wonder how many of these "Do-Gooders" had any family in one of those towers or at the Pentagon on 9-11. If they did they would most likely be begging Mr. Bush to "do something". I for one would agree to boycotting the Hollywood Industry to "give them a taste of their own medicine. Jeanette Graebner-Fleming Macon, Georgia

We live in the U.S.A. and because we do, we have the right to speak our minds. This is true whether we agree or disagree with others. Why shouldn't the people in Hollywood have the same right. Our politicians have free air time to say what they think. That should be the right for everyone.

Applaud you for taking a stand on behalf of all the military serving to protect us. The one thing I wonder though is why would you boycott JUST the theatres - why not take it a step further and boycott the television shows - watch the ratings really drop - perhaps then someone will listen. And why only a short term boycott - this tactic has been used before and the industry is well aware of. It is time to stand up and be heard - if you are going to boycott then do it for good - UNTIL they really and truly LISTEN and take real action with lasting results. If you truly believe in supporting our military - remember those that have lost their lives and the families that have lost their loved ones and HONOR all of them by more than just a temporary boycott. My personal preference is to boycott ANY and ALL endorcements represented by these SELECT few! Some of these actors and musicians have been long time favorites. NO MORE! All movies, songs, products, etc. will no longer be found in my home or bought/brought to my home! We should all put our money where our mouths are and remove it from theirs!! I have family members and friends over fighting this war right now. I am 100% behind this war. Iraq should of been taken care of several years ago. Are some of these so called Amercans waiting for another attack on America. If Bush did nothing about this situation that is happening now, there would sometime or another be another attack on the Amercan. I bash the Americans that are crying over this war deal, deal with it because it was bound to happen and this war really should of happened many years ago. I say kill Saddam and all of his followers. They all suck and they have to go. He is one sick man, who has killed and d women and little children for years. 100% for this WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We shouldn't be surprised at the stand taken by some of Hollywood. When was the last time that you went to a movie and wasn't offended by language or scenes that you heard and/or saw? Morality has flown out the window, it seems. I don't go to theatres any more. We will sometimes rent a tape or DVD, but even then, I am shocked and offended by gratuitous sex and cursing. When I am fooled in renting one that offends, I speak my objections when I return the DVD/tape. You can't even trust a Disney movie anymore. Pray for those people in Hollywood. God bless you for voicing your objections and thank God also that WE have the right to protest their actions. God will honor our prayers. My husband (who is a Viet Nam Vet) and I agree 100% with these thoughts. Because of the Vets like my husband and others, these "Hollywood Bunches" are free and have the right to speak. How soon they forget!! Who do these "Hollywood Bunches" think they are to try to use their "stardom" on the rest of us? I feel I am educated enough (and more educated than most of them!!) to make my own decisions and I am proud of our country. I believe the leaders of our country have the knowledge and insight to make the right decisions. How quickly these "Hollywood Bunches" have forgotten 9/11!!! It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure out that we have to stop the madmen to protect our country and ourselves. And to those who want to believe this war is "just over oil"--you really need to be more informed!!. By boycotting the movie, TV and music industry, we hit these people where it hurts--in their pocketbooks. They seem to forget without us, they don't make the "big bucks". I used to watch The West Wing each week. After Martin Sheen and his remarks, I e-mailed NBC and said I would no longer watch the show because of him. And I plan to e-mail this site to all my e-mail friends. God Bless our President, our troops and their families and God Bless America!! Brenda from LA

I agree with you wholeheartedly in your statement that the entertainment people should not be using their industry as a platform for their views. However, there is free speech in America and it is for this democracy that the soldiers are putting their lives on the line. I think the boycotting of movies should be restricted to those who have been extremely vocal (perhaps to gain publicity) and disrespectful in the presentation of their views. There are many entertainers who do support the war effort in Iraq, and there is no need to make everyone suffer for the sake of a few. Congratulations on establishing this website.

For All the war protestors: Young Americans will die in battle. Would you prefer they die in skyscrapers? The United States is taking unilateral action against Iraq! So far, it's a 90-member worldwide "unilateral" coalition. We are in a rush to war. A 12-year rush! We should let the inspectors finish their job. We did. They didn't. We will. There's no proof of weapons. We know they have 'em, we know they hide 'em, and we have tape recordings and photographs. What more is needed? An Iraqi rocket in Martin Sheen's shorts? If we invade, Saddam Hussein might use those weapons of mass destruction against us. I thought you said Iraq didn't have them? We shouldn't go to war without a UN resolution. ANOTHER resolution? What about the last 18 resolutions? Shall we use them as wallpaper? Or shall we use the same resolutions Bill Clinton used in Bosnia? (he didn't go to the UN on Bosnia) We don't have a real declaration for war. It's called "Joint Congressional Resolution #114." European leaders are against the war. The Reichstag wasn't attacked. The Grande Place wasn't attacked. The Kremlin wasn't attacked. America was attacked. And besides, except for the tantrums of France, Belgium and Germany, only three European nations aren't willing to defend freedom. The entire rest of Europe is with America. The French don't support the war. Oh, did they surrender already? Germany objects to this war. Germany objected to Reagan's "attitude" towards the Soviet Union. Of course, they objected to our presence in 1943 as well. Belgians are against the war. I can live without waffles and ice cream. Russia doesn't support the war. They are still angry over Reagan's brilliant Cold War victory. We should build a coalition with our friends. With friends like these, who needs enemies? What happens if we can't build a United Nations coalition? Who cares? But the UN is the world's most respected governing body. Not as respected as the US military. America has always waited until enemies attacked. Now that oceans can't hold back enemies, preemptive war is forever a necessity. War will cost billions! So how much is YOUR City worth? President Bush says he's willing to violate the 1976 executive order forbidding assassinations of foreign leaders. As soon as the ink is dry on rescinding that idiotic order, will someone please pull the trigger? The line forms to the right. Tom Daschle says George Bush has a "credibility gap" When was the last time we came to Tom Daschle for the truth??? These problems didn't happen under Clinton. Actually, they happened. But Clinton ignored them. Now, Bush will clean up his mess. But Clinton didn't start a war. Unless his girlfriend was testifying before congress. Millions of peace activists are demanding we stop the war. Millions of Iraqi's are begging for us to start the war. Thousands of innocents will be killed or injured. That's a lot less than Hussein is killing right now. Protesters have genuine objections to war Just like they did in W.W.II? Korea? Vietnam? Panama? The Gulf War? Somalia? Haiti? Bosnia? Afghanistan? This is about American Imperialism. So which country do we own? Name our colonies? What nation sends us their tax dollars? If America was imperialist, we'd already own the entire world. Who could stand in our way? This is Blood for Oil The only blood is the Iraqi people tortured, starved and killed while Hussein builds massive palaces to hide nuclear weapons...all financed with Iraqi oil. This is a racist war. America happily endorses a multicultural attitude towards anyone who dares to take away our freedom. Regardless of race, color, or creed; we will hunt them down and kill them. An attack on Iraq could seriously undermine and destabilize Arab nations. Destabilize the region? What stability? The sooner we topple these oppressive 14th century terrorist regimes the better. Are we prepared for a multibillion dollar occupation? Were we prepared to liberate Europe and Japan in 1945? South Korea in 1953? Grenada? El Salvador? Kuwait? The Eastern Bloc? Afghanistan? Nations always love Americans when we rescue them from tyranny. The price of freedom is never free. American opinion is against the war. No, it's not. A majority of Americans want to fight now, not later. According to a recent poll. . . You know what? Screw those polls. We're in a war against terrorism. If you don't want to fight the ones who would murder you and your family in a heartbeat, get the hell out of the way. ---------------------- God Bless our young people who are in harms way, I'm beyond proud of each and every one of them. From a United States Navy Veteran, Guns

I'm not so sure it's boycotting Hollywood that we will make a differance. I think that if "American's" would just make up their own minds remembering the sacrifices that have been made so that we can have a Hollywood and so that the Hollywood acters can have their opinion. Don't get me wrong, I AM in support of our President and the actions the military is taking. War is a tragety and lives are going to be lost. But, the men and women over their are the bravest group of people that belong to thing beautiful country. So, don't we as "American's" need find it in our hearts to support the bravest people in our country rather then question wether or not what they are doing is humane. I don't know about other "American's" but this "American" remembers the inhumane act that happened Sep. 11, 2001. And call me crazy but I don't care to see that ever happen again if we can help it. I didn't even know anyone killed on that day but I shed tears anyway. It was an attack on my country and that alone hurt. I'm a 31 yr old father of two little boys (3 and 5). Also, a son to a "Vet". Instead of boycotting one of our freedoms lets make the news media go talk to some "Vets". Lets get their opinion on the situation. And quit worrying about what a couple actor's are saying.
